Many Duck fans feel that playing Penn State in Indianapolis for the B1G Championship last year was a disadvantage when OBD was the #1 seed vs Ohio State in the Rose Bowl Bowl over two weeks later.

There's talk in Georgia and Ole Miss, that they don't want to make it to Atlanta. Both would prefer to have a home playoff game to replace playing a CCG. Is this the same in Eugene? I admit it would be fun to see Alabama or Notre Dame up in Autzen.

I am hesitant to admit this, but I am totally weary of uniform-reveal-Wednesday. I seldom am thrilled with the choice. But my opinion matters little. Apparently the players love it, so...it is what it is. I remember the first black uniforms, against USuC years ago on Halloween weekend I think. When the team came out of the tunnel the fans went crazy! I was there. It was amazing. Here's hoping that these black uni's bring back those good vibes and we crush the condoms!

This season, Oregon has played it close to good teams. So this game should be no different. The main question is: How good is USC? They have skills players, but do they have the linemen? Has Lincoln Riley come around and started to mold his team into a contender? How hard will they fight? Ducks don't have a dominant pass rush this year. They also give up some rushing yards from time to time. Dante does not look good under pressure. Sometimes the Oregon receivers don't get open. USC has a good chance to keep it close. If Ducks win by 10 or 13, I consider that fairly close. If Ducks dominate the line, then they could blow them out. But I don't see USC being like Ok St, the beavs, or Rutgers.

I'd most like to see Herbert or Nix myself, but that's just me.

Final thought: Still not nearly as bad as those orange socks look (match the mascot). Second worst was the eggshell. Maybe the old 'antifreeze' helmets would go with the all black look? And antifreeze pants? I would dig that. And antifreeze numbers on the black jerseys. Black wings on the antifreeze helmets and a black stripe (or huge swoosh) on the antifreeze pants. Or an antifreeze swoosh on the black pants? I would love to see that combo.

As a stand alone.... Yeah they look cool. But this is game 6 we have worn black with only green or yellow as an accent color and not the main event. In exhausted of it.

In a word, no. I loved the old 'midnight green' look. But this is not good. An all dark green theme would have been great. Or if the jersey and pants matched the helmet - green with black trim, that would have worked as well. Or if they insist on the black look, then take the green off the helmet and make it silver. OK, black jersey, silver helmet and silver pants - at least that would look coordinated, even if no where near team colors. But I could be totally wrong -what matters is what it looks like on the field.

And pass receivers wearing black will not show up very well while racing away from a quarterback searching for them through the upraised arms of onrushing defenders. When will the uniform gurus realize that because black does not reflect light it’s difficult to see? Maybe it will make for more interceptions.

Boy, the staff on the forum is rusty, as we are clearly out of practice. When a moderator finds on offensive post, our protocol is to hide it from public view, and text me to let me know. The reporting mechanism in this new platform is malfunctioning, but again--our protocol was not followed. All offending posts should have been removed from public view so we can figure out how to proceed. Sometimes posts are brought back, other times deleted. Two posts were in violation, but one was not as he clearly stated his definition, and clarified his intent. But the offenders, and the moderator were not the only ones in error, as yours-truly left the posts up for a few hours, when again--our defined protocol is to hide them immediately, and begin asking questions for clarification. It is meant to be done in private, so no parties get embarrassed. Right now there are four of us who have some public egg-on-our-face, when it should not have happened this way. We all make posting mistakes, thus when noticed we hide them immediately, notify the party of the violation and to be more aware going forward, and them we move on. One party has already declared to me a cessation of posting and is leaving us over this. And in the end? It is all my fault. I have rules to follow, and didn't. People get their feelings hurt...by what is written or not. Sometimes I feel that I'm getting too old for this stuff, but I do love my Ducks, and most of the time....I love this community. The lashing out at the writer was primarily based on what she wrote, and how we disagreed with it--which is fine. We should not have crossed the gender line, and we should have managed the situation correctly as we have a TON of times in the past. The moderator and I are both out of practice--because of this great community being the most civilized one out there. But the buck stops with me, and I let too much time pass without acting correctly. For the second time in its last three games, UO’s one-two punch of Katie Fiso and Mia Jacobs turned in 20-point scoring efforts with 22 and 20 points, respectively. That, in addition to 10 points off the bench from Avary Cain and 13 rebounds from Ehis Etute, helped the Ducks pick up their first road win of the season and extend their season-opening winning streak to five games. “This was a good win,” UO coach Kelly Graves said. “First time on the road, I thought we responded pretty well. We got a great start and then went from there.” Oregon’s offense, which went 2-for-9 from the 3-point line in the first half, went 9-of-15 in the second for its best 3-point shooting game of the season. Five different players drilled a triple, led by a season-high five from Jacobs who connected on 4-of-5 tries in the second half. “We had a lot of players play really well,” said Graves. “Ehis (Etute) had a mini-breakout game for her, … eight offensive rebounds, my goodness sakes. I think we have worn black too many times this season; it is no longer special. And a crowd wearing black will not show up well on TV...

It's a blackout. Oregon is going with the all black look versus USC this Saturday. Although I have been a little thrown off by the excessive use of black this season, I must admit, I always love the all black combo. The green lids are a nice touch imo, and I like the all black wings. All in all, not my favorite combination ever, but I like it. What do you guys think?
