  2. Josh Pate On Week 4 Of College Football, Heading To Nebraska & More
  3. Personally, I have no interest in pretending it is a rivalry game. If it was the first game of the season, I would attend, just to see how our team looks. I enjoyed the rivalry for what it was…an opportunity to kick around some rodents.
  4. With their usual lack of aplomb, the NCAA makes half of a good decisionAutzen ZooWith their usual lack of aplomb, the NCAA makes half of a...The NCAA Administrative Committee decided Wednesday that college football will move to a single transfer window, closing the spring Transfer Portal.
  5. These are both VERY good points. We do need to skip playing FCS teams, and OSU is now no different than playing Utah State, Colorado State, etc. for non-conference. Fine... I would like all the Civil War games to remain at Autzen, but our UO administrators are weak. They feel sorry for Beavis, and feel they must "help" Oregon State, by scheduling at Reser. Even after taking a disproportionate Pac-12 revenue share for decades, and stealing 30 million from Oregon in the lawsuit...they STILL need help?

Austin Novosad – The backup quarterback has been listed as questionable and didn't play the last two weeks, though he has been in uniform on the sideline during the games against Montana State and Northwestern. 10. Wow, after this weekend, 25% of the regular season is over. 🤬 SEC out-of-conference vs. P4 opponents, 9-2. B1G out-of-conference vs. P4 opponents, 5-5. Games remaining: Florida at Miami, and Notre Dame hosting Purdue and USC. In a wired world, you can count on Recency Bias; however, all the metrics, except $$$ 🤑, still support the SEC as being No.1 top to bottom. As many have asked, what is the bottom third of the B1G doing with all of the money? No. 9 Illinois +3.5 at No. 19 Indiana -1950 was the last time these two met as ranked opponents. This game was broadcast in living black & white on four-inch TV screens that came in fuzzy but watchable if you properly aligned the rabbit ears. (Yes, the cane is waving!) 4:30 PM - NBC No. 21 Michigan at No. 34 Nebraska - 2016 - It's been 27 games since Nebraska defeated a top-25-ranked opponent. Ranked OBD 😧 lost in Lincoln in 2016 in the 'Let's Go For 2 Game.' Nebraska coach Matt Ruhle is not golden versus ranked opponents. 0-17 at Baylor and Nebraska. Series record: Michigan 8-4-1. Michigan interim coach Biff Poggi made money the old-fashioned way. He left coaching and joined his father-in-law's investment business. Biff left after making $10 million and returned to coaching. After last Saturday's beatdown win over Central Michigan, the now 1-0 interim coach Biff had this to say about QB Bryce Underwood: "I have a Labrador retriever who could coach this guy." WOOF! 12:30 PM - CBS No. 25 USC -17.5 vs. Michigan State - The series record is 4-4, with Michigan State winning the only Rose Bowl matchup in 1988, 20-17. To date, No. 25 USC is No.1 in the nation in Total Offense, and QB Jayden Maiava is No. 1 in QB Efficiency ratings. The game kicks off at 2 AM Eastern time, and Michigan State will not get home until Sunday morning. However, Sparty is off in Week 5, and USC gets the Week 5 early bird treatment with the game at Illinois kicking off at 9 AM Pacific. Been there, done that. 8 PM Fox The Civil War - No. 6 - 3-0 Oregon vs. 0-3 Oregon State - The last officially scheduled Civil War game sees No. 6-ranked OBD vs. the rank, smelly Oregon State Beavers. I think the line for this game says it all. No. 6 Oregon -34.5 - I can find no money line odds on the Beavers, which means the books believe that Beavis has no, nada, nudge, nyet, nothing-burger chance whatsoever vs. OBD. 😍 Noon - Big Ten Network B1G naps on Saturday - Minnesota (choke job in NO Cal), Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, and (Didn't you use to be?) UCLA. Friday Night 9/19/25 - 2-1 Iowa at 3-0 Rutgers - Tune in to watch two future 2025 OBD opponents. Rutgers is 0-four Iowa but has an offense that is putting up points in bunches. In Kirk Ferentz's 206th record-setting win, his Hawkeyes put up an astounding 47 points! However, in the last five seasons, opponent UMass has surrendered the most points in FBS. 5 PM Fox Saturday - 9/20/25 3-0 Maryland at 2-1 Wisconsin - The Terps are 0-four Wisconsin. True frosh Maryland QB Malik Washington has been fantastic to date. Wisconsin's QB play has been anything but. 9 AM NBC 2-1 Purdue at No. 24 Notre Dame - The to date defeated Irish is a slight favorite at -26.5. Luck of the Irish? Notre Dame lost to No. 4 Miami and No. 10 Texas A&M by a total of four points. 12:30 NBC 2-0 Washington -20.5 at 2-1 Washington State - Look for UW to take a B1G bite of the Apple in Pullman, if the Huskies do not look ahead to the Week 5 game versus Ohio State in Seattle. The two B1G teams are -55 vs. the Pac-12. 4:30 PM CBS Other games with a PO impact: No. 16 Utah vs. No. 17 Texas Tech - 9 AM Fox No. 22 Auburn at No. 11 Oklahoma - 12:30 PM ABC Florida at No. 4 Miami - Come On Gators! 4:30 PM ABC PELT THE BEAVERS!
  11. OK. I'll throw in my 2 cents. Keep the game. We play a G5 team every year, let it be Beavis. Saves travel costs. Lots of folks want to watch and it will be a cheap ticket. Lastly, we want to maintain the appearance of equality and working with little brother so Oregon legislature stays out of our business. We don't want to have to make a payment like ucla.

  14. The “new agreement” is just a theory at this point until it’s signed. As far as I know it isn’t signed right now. Could it happen? Sure. I personally doubt there is a long term solution that will supersede any agreement ESPN dictates once the big boy break away officially happens in the next couple years. I’ll be very disappointed if OBD agree to anything long term with Beavis. 2032 is no coincidence, as that is when the CFP agreement expires. That being said, if things accelerate, signing an agreement that goes into 2032 will ultimately lead to lawsuits with our ambulance chasing neighbors, they can’t be trusted. It’s gone imo. Even if it’s not yet officially gone, it’s gone.
  15. Dabo opened himself up for criticism by saying in the preseason that he believed his team had the talent to go 16-0. Three things I disagreed with the most from the preseason 'expert' nationwide nattering nabobs.😁 1. Archie Manning will win the Heisman Trophy. 2. Texas will win it all. 3. Clemson, with stud players everywhere, will roll through its schedule. Archie came into the season having never started a game on the road and unable to beat out a 7th-round draft pick before this season. The Texas O-line and receiving corps were wiped out. Sark won a conference title in the B12 with a superior roster (defeating OK State in the conference champ game), but other than this accomplishment? With road games at Florida, Georgia, and what looked to be an improved Oklahoma team in Dallas, the degree of SEC schedule difficulty ramped up from 2024. As of today, road games at Kentucky and even Mississippi State will not be layups. Ditto for Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and A&M at home. All of the highly touted Clemson players on D were on the 2024 team that was lit up by SMU and Texas and lost to Louisville and South Carolina at home. In the 2024-25 PO, Cade Klubnik played a very good game at Texas, but the rest of his stats were padded by his play against the weaker teams on the schedule. This season's 2024 Florida State? Clemson and Texas are in the running.

  17. Echo the 2 Autzen 1 beandip format. We owe them nothing. They are sitting on a ton of our cash and (I guess) squandering it with their new try-hard good guy conference. 2 fer 1 MINIMUM. When was the last time Tennessee played in Memphis? Ole Miss at Southern Mississippi? ANY SEC team at Furman? I have said it before: unless this is coming from on high, we should tell oac to enjoy their slow and painful death. I've got my popcorn ready. I wish you luck Beaver Nation. Remember that name? J.O.K.E.
  18. And use the remainder to freeze the punter ala Notre Dame.
  19. Thanks for your thoughts, Darren. First off, "while the Beavers got picked last" is a bit misleading. They DIDN'T get picked at all, unless you include picking the pocket of the "true" Pac 12 to the tune of millions. Second, I would like to see the game continue: 1) Like JJ mentions a 2 for 1 would be nice. However, I would be ok with an even split between stadiums. Playing a lower division team in Reser give the Ducks a true road atmosphere experience. 2) It is a pay-check game without having to pay.
  20. I believe the B1G is moving to a model of NO non-conference games being any teams not in the P4 (maybe group of 6) tier of football. In addition I think we will look forward to more early season "high ranked" team matchups (ie: Ohio St / Texas this year) as part of the two NFL-Lite leagues non-conference schedules. Every B1G team will schedule "cellar dwellers" from these leagues as "tune-up games", kinda like Oregon frequently used Portland St and Fresno St. as tuneups games in the recent past. ORST will just become our one tune-up game from here on out. Being an Oregon Ducks fan I have no real problem with keeping the "rivalry?" alive AND also let lil bro be our sparring partner before we getting to the meat of our schedule each year. HOWever I can't speak to any diehard Beavus fans who gets to look forward to 25-35 points beatdowns, year in and year out, into the foreseeable future. In the end, money will dictate how it all plays out. But as always, GO DUCKS!⁷
  21. Thanks, Darren. If the Civil War means a G6 opponent replaces an FCS opponent, and, as Smitty asks above, if SOS does matter, OK. The link above is to a pay site that I can't open. I note that Ohio State does not play at Ohio University, Kent State, Bowling Green, or any other G6 program. Any extension should see at least two at Autzen and one at Resar format, or forget about it. Every other season, OBD will play five conference road games, that's enough. With money mattering more than ever, it is incumbent on Rob Mullens to ensure Oregon plays at least seven home games. Home games help the small businesses in Lane County. I would not contract for any future OOC game without a free exit if the B1G/SEC challenge happens or the Super Conference happens. With the SEC going to nine conference games, Florida used this nine-conference-game caveat to get out of three future OOC games, including a H+H with ASU. I don't know if we will ever see this without a Super Conference, but I'd love to see ten home games for every P4 conference, one cupcake, and one P4 opponent.
  22. I believe the Oregon fans are encouraged to wear green for the Penn State game. Not sure about what uniforms the Ducks will wear.
  23. Saltiness has returned to the Civil War! Autzen ZooDearest mother: Saltiness has returned to the Civil WarMonday reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week Jerry Mixon tried to stir up the passions the Oregon-Oregon State game used to be known for.
  24. Good post Darren, I'm with you! If Strength of Schedule is truly meaningful someday, playing Oregon State will not help us. Until then it will be fun to pound on the Beavers every game we play against them.
  25. Oregon State's Maalik Murphy Responds to Oregon Linebacker Jerry Mixon Before Rivalry GameThe Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers duke it out at Autzen Stadium on Saturday, and the war of words is on. 26. Through the first three weeks of the season, the Oregon Ducks have looked like one of the best teams in the nation, putting forth an efficient offense and a dominant defense. They now go into their final week of the non-conference with a storied matchup against the Oregon State Beavers, the 129th playing of the rivalry game. It's expected to be a lopsided affair, unfortunately, for the sake of the rivalry, largely due to the different trajectories of both programs over the last couple of years, thanks to conference realignment. Five Oregon State Beavers who Oregon Duck fans should know before Week 4
