Hummm, Ohio St. Wants Unequal Revenue Sharing???
OK thumbs down to buckeye posturing, but it does kind of make sense to reward playoff teams like the NFL does. As for the regular season, hopefully revenues remain divided equally, but this is no longer a sport that even pretends to be equitable. Rewarding performance, i.e. playoff appearances, is at least an objective standard that all conference teams have the opportunity to achieve. The TV ratings gimmick that USC used to use on the Pac-10 is too subjective and easily manipulated. It's easy to have the best ratings when you get the best time slots all the time.

I thought my level of hatred for tosu was complete . . . I guess not.

Let’s Talk About the Ducks’ New Defensive Position
Compared to our stats after game 2 last year.... a LOT less. Jeanty was hot or cold against Oregon but still put up a lot of yards. Oregon held him under 2 yards per carry for a majority of the game but he still ripped off a couple long runs to change that overall average. We haven't had a real test against the run just yet but keeping lesser opponents contained on the run game is a good start.

Let’s Talk About the Ducks’ New Defensive Position
I would say it was installed because it gave them issues in the Rose Bowl and they have the safety talent to do it. Coaches tend to take things that they like, or things they struggled against, and add them to their system if it fits.

Let’s Talk About the Ducks’ New Defensive Position
There are several thoughts here of what, why and how this has happened. One or more may be right. We will know more after Saturday’s game, but no matter the details, I like it with the Ducks personnel. They have the Joe’s to bring added pressure. I’m wondering how the YAC allowed per game compares so far with last year’s statistic? It seems to me with a small sample that the Ducks are tackling much better.

Let’s Talk About the Ducks’ New Defensive Position
The staff has more so added to the scheme. It’s really no different than the offense going four wide on one play and then subbing in a two tight end look on the next.

Let’s Talk About the Ducks’ New Defensive Position
Probably a mixture of Lanning wanting to change the scheme a little bit and having Thieneman who was able to accomplish this as well. Perhaps this is what they recruited Thieneman for from the portal was to do just this.

Let’s Talk About the Ducks’ New Defensive Position
Boy, I don't know because the designated "Star" is Jaden Canady, the transfer from Ole Miss, and he has been all over the field as that fifth defensive back. First, with five defensive backs....if the Free Safety, (Dillon) is up closer, then we still have four DBs to combat the passing attack of our opposition. And...I cannot help but think this was brought about because of the unique talents of Thieneman?

Let’s Talk About the Ducks’ New Defensive Position
No, I would say that’s not the case. It’s just another alignment/personnel package in the tool box. It’ll be used for specific offensive looks. Jadon Canady is the starter at the star/nickel in the base 4-2-5.
