The Alamo Bowl crowd is looking kind of sparse. I’ve been to a couple of these games and it’s always been packed. Especially with the USAF basic trainees taking up a section or two. I always thought this was one of the better non-BCS bowl games.

B1G... 6-0 in the bowl games. Way to go Illinois! And, while I can't stand USC as much as the next guy... I say "Come on Trojans, don't suck it and screw up our undefeated bowl conference bowl record tonight."

TCU with the backup QB should even out the out scale.

Illini Win! Down goes the SEC to the B1G! Honestly without the optouts Tennessee is the better team, but their coach was crap. ILLINI played 3DBs 15 yards or more back from scrimmage and Tennessee kept trying to pass until deep into the 3rd quarter. THEN they started running the ball and came back.

Illinois wins 30-28 on a walk-off field goal! So WHERE is that SEC depth? Both teams were 8-4 going into this, and a superb Big-10 win. Tough in the trenches!

Unlikely money. I think it's more likely that he is obsessed with football and doesn't know or want to live without it. I'm sure he loves coaches and what he does. After his time in the NFL as a HC ended as it did I thought he'd sit out for awhile and evaluate his options but he turned around and took the HC job at UCLA real fast. I get the feeling that he will be one of those coaches forced to retire because no one will hire him when the time comes.
