Inappropriate relationship with a staff member is being stated as the cause. Michigan will be in chaos next season.

A Well Deserved Award for Mr. Mullens!
Maybe I missed it but I would have liked to hear a bit more about why the UO athletic department felt a one time relatively small upfront cash payment from private equity was necessary. Especially after already taking a haircut to join the conference, agreeing to be mid-tier. I mean, I think I sort of got it and it's fine but I don't know about award winning?

Does Oregon Have the BEST Path to a Championship?
What is funny is how perception changes with age. Less than 5 months ago many here predicted a 10 - 2 record. Seems longer. 10 - 2 may not have been good enough to put us in the CFP. Oregon had the depth to navigate the season, and played very well in spurts, with some inexperience at key positions. Now we are at the point where games will be won in the trenches, and by solid QB play. Our path put JMU in a game that might change future CFP formats. I say let’s deal with them harshly, and prove that they don’t belong. Beyond JMU, all teams in our path want to show that Oregon is just like JMU, simply a pretender. I think most of us believe that Oregon has not played their best game yet. I want to believe we have the talent to compete with everyone in our bracket. Play with discipline, and a big chip on our shoulder. Someone will win it all, why not OBDs.

Go Suck A Fart Notre Dame!
Yes, but I bet that if Norte Dame wanted to join the SEC or Big 10 the ACC would allow them out of the contract for X millions of dollars and a guarantee that they play one ACC team on the road each year till 2036. Now would they have to take all their sports to another league or just football? If they took all their sports that X would probably be at least XX.

Go Suck A Fart Notre Dame!
Notre Dame's approval rating is now lower than lawyers? I'm not certain, but they aren't winning many friends with the PO'd meltdown. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/columnist/nancy-armour/2025/12/09/notre-dame-football-whining-over-cfp-snub/87689944007/?utm_source=usatoday-sports-strada&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=usatbaseline&utm_term=Content

Does Oregon Have the BEST Path to a Championship?
With regards to the talent level of the competition, I think we have the gradual path towards the championship. I see this tournament as an opportunity for our coaching staff to prove they have the ability to have our players prepared with a game plan to execute against two savvy and well coached teams in Texas Tech and Indiana. If we can't get past at least one of those big tests, I'll remain concerned about DL's decision to promote coordinators from within. First things first. I expect a frisky JMU to show up and be ready to play. We need to bring our A game.

Does Oregon Have the BEST Path to a Championship?
4th best odds and 4th best path seem to be the consensus - ESPN lists Oregon to win the championship as best bet during the CFP Hats off to ESPN's Pam Maldonado, who recently had harsh words for OBD, and now has Oregon as the best bet on the board.

Go Suck A Fart Notre Dame!
With BYU oh so close in 2024 and this season, the B12 has a legit gripe. Hats off to B12 Commish Yormark for instead telling Notre Dame and its way-over-the-top AD to go to their room. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/big-12-commish-very-critical-120338540.html

Transfer Portal Interests to Ducks (3)
All the timing of early signing, portal, coaching carousel, etc. needs major revision. Playoffs going past Jan 1st or 2nd...Lanning has even said that annoys him.
-
Transfer Portal Interests to Ducks (3)
Making playoff teams focus on the portal, player retention or release (next year stuff) and the freaking playoffs is about as dumb as it sounds. They really need to completely over hall the post season format and portal windows.

2025 CFB Playoff Information, Rankings Show Results
GREAT POST! For once, the NCAA is not at fault. The NCAA has nothing to do with the FBS postseason. The college football playoffs conducted by the NCAA do not include Now You See It, Now You Don't rankings teasers. For some inexplicable reason, the Domers fracked up; they trusted the Committee. 🤪 It's all good for the Irish. Next season, ND opens vs. Wisconsin in Green Bay, followed by a home helping of Rice. The Irish play one 2025-26 PO team in 2026. Along with Ohio State at Texas, LSU at Ole Miss, don't miss Miami's trip to ND on 10/7/26. The next most 'difficult' game on the Domer's 2026 schedule, the finale vs SC in LA, which could (and I hope will) be the last game in the series. They're crying in South Bent, but close by, they are not shedding tears and likely sharing laughs at NCAA HQ in Indianapolis. 😁

YAHOO! A Detailed Look at Big Ten Final Regular Season Rankings - And Rankings of Bowl Opponents
A concise summary of Big Ten rankings at the close of the regular season, including the conference championship game, and a comparison ranking of B1G bowl game opponents. The Massey Composite Rankings (linked in the article) uses 89 different rankings, including the CFP, AP, and Coaches rankings. Seven B1G teams are ranked in Massey's Top 25 - 1. Indiana/ 2. Ohio State/ 4. Oregon/ 15. USC/ 17. Michigan/ 18. Iowa/ 22. Washington After the champ games, Texas Tech moved up to No. 3 with OBD dropping one spot to No. 4. The consensus ranking for the two likely Orange Bowl opponents is Red Raiders 4.16 and OBD 4.41. (No. 5, UGA - 4.55.) JMU is ranked No. 20 with a consensus ranking of 22.79. Factor in the Autzen Advantage, and OBD should be a three TD favorite over the Dukes. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/big-ten-rankings-regular-season-150200411.html GO DUCKS!

Transfer Portal Interests to Ducks (3)
Where will the Oregon Ducks focus attention in the transfer portal? We still have over three weeks until the transfer portal opens up in the world of college football, with things shifting this season to a 15-day window, starting on January 1, 2026, allowing players to mark themselves as eligible to move schools. However, things are going to get a bit busy for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks here in about a week as they start their prep for a College Football Playoff run, which begins with a home game against the James Madison Dukes on December 20.

Jealousy: Nothing Like The First Time, Take it All In
Ah, I find as I get older, that my most cherished memories are often centered around firsts. My first trip to Disney, my first Gator game, my first car, my first date, first friend, kid, job, real achievement, Christmas, Halloween..etc.. You my friends, are about to experience something only four other teams have ever experienced. A home playoff game!! You've already experienced so much in the time period that I call the era of sadness as a Gator fan 2010-present. You've won the PAC Twelve, B1G, playoff game, Heisman winner, and two National Title berths. Now you get a home playoff game in December, and most likely a win that could propel you to your first National Title. I know that is getting ahead of myself, but I have a point. As a kid, I witnessed Florida beating FSU in the Sugar Bowl to win their first ever football National Title. It's a memory I cherish, and I got to see young Gator fans witness the same in 2006, and 2008. This past basketball season I got to see young Gator fans see their first ever men's basketball championship, and six years ago the first baseball title. Those things stick with you. I know being a fan can be hard when your team loses, you invest emotionally. But the payoff to a win is priceless. Forget coaching , or player salaries. Forget transfer portal, NIL, or losing assistants. This moment right now, it's special. Take it in, the sights, the sounds, the smells. Enjoy this right now, and don't worry about next year. We all are so busy worrying about the championship window, or how the future looks. We tend to forget that today, this time right now, is that window. It's what we all were looking forward to the years ago. Unfortunately we don't realize is today is yesterday's tomorrow, and it's going to be tomorrow's yesterday. We'll never get it back, and we'll always wish we enjoyed it more as it was happening.

Joe Moore Award Finalists
Our record speaks to good coaching on the offensive line, but it also speaks to fantastic recruiting out of the portal. It is easier to tweak an experienced O-Lineman, than the years it takes to develop one, IMHO.

Does Oregon Have the BEST Path to a Championship?
Originally, I did not want to remain a No. 5 Seed, but as it turned out--this was our best scenario and I cannot complain. Let's go win!
