  2. David, I was a bit disappointed in the article as it did not mention from which gambling site Charles had to be pulled away from. Other than that, right on.
  3. Who is college football's biggest fraud? Texas, Clemson, Penn State fight it out - Yahoo Sports I'm going with Penn St. They had the most returning, new D Coordinator labeled the best in the business, and a schedule with 2 of 4 toughest games at home (UCLA just snuck in as No. 4) Clemson was a trendy pick since it was in the ACC and who'd thunk Mari could keep the train on the tracks all season? Texas: Arch is in his 3rd year under Sark. What had he done previously to show he was QB1 for a No. 1 team other than the last name on his birth certificate?
  4. I look at this more in terms of reps, it's not who starts the game it's about who is getting the most reps. I think we've really benefitted from no one running back getting worn down over the course of a game. It's pretty obvious the coaches are doing an excellent job with this group, I'm sure they'll continue to make good decisions.
  5. Mysterious movement in the betting line, odds for Indiana at OregonThe line opened at Oregon -10.5. Yesterday it dropped to -9.5, and some 18 hours later it's at Oregon -8.5. The IU moneyline has dropped from +305 to +270. The line is now down to Oregon -7.5 at the ESPN Bet Sports book. Autzen ZooMysterious movement in the betting line, odds for Indiana...Something weird is happening with the betting numbers ahead of Oregon's home game against Indiana.

  8. ESPN's Week 6 Take - A 'Devastating Loss' for PSU and Updated B1G Champ Odds have OBD and TOSU close to neck and neck. ESPN.comHow shocking upsets and near misses of Week 6 impact conf...How bleak are things for Penn State and Texas? What's next in the ACC and Big 12? Bill Connelly has answers.
  9. More personal benefits of the Big 10: Driving distance to more games for an East Coaster! A couple buddies and I are going to make about a 4 hour drive to the Rutgers game in a couple weeks. Anybody familiar with the Rutgers scene? Parking? Tailgating? Other helpful tips?

  11. Remember how I used to be warning people, and explaining our rules so many times in the past. There was a stretch of a year and a half where I was posting something about the rules once a month, and sometimes--twice. Our first year we averaged 18 rule violations a month! The worst was when we lost to Washington twice in 2023 and I had 36 violations in one month-whew! What is it like now? Crickets. We hardly ever have a violation, and when we do, it is usually a newbie who is learning how to filter themselves as we all learned. It takes a while, but everybody has adapted and it is wonderful to have such a great community. I have enough issues with the two websites, and I am so grateful that I hardly have any moderating to do, because everyone is so NICE to fellow OBD members! Our community is not large, but it is special. It is the only Oregon group that values being civilized to one another, thus you are all a treasure in human spirit. I love you all! And thanks for putting up with my quirky humor... Yeah, Penn State. You GOT THIS...
  12. That puts us at 4 - 3 all-time vs Penn St.
  13. Don't forget to get the key to the executive bathroom as that door hits him on the way out.
  14. Good effort by Gabe. Bo brings the blues and boos to Philly. 😍 YardbarkerComeback win over Eagles gives Broncos QB Bo Nix somethin...Denver Broncos second-year quarterback Bo Nix lacked one big thing through his first 21 starts: a signature win.
  15. Most are talking heads. Very little experts there. It is mostly about narrative and bias. Look at the SEC standings. All teams undefeated or with 1 loss are all ranked. Some of them have a nice OOC win, but not all. B1G TEN, ACC and Big 12 1 loss teams aren't given the same bias.
  16. It was with Jeremiah Johnson, and LeGarrett Blount. And we had LaMichael and Barner...lighting and lightning.
  17. Franklin has a 50 million dollar buy out, if he were to be fired at the end of the season. I'm not sure PSU's athletic board has the same nonchalance about throwing away that kind of money like Texas A&M did with Jimbo Fisher. Oregon Ducks are 3-0 vs Penn State the last 2 games. Oregon Ducks beat PSU twice last Saturday.
  18. Spot on, they've earned it. Whittington can't seem to stay healthy and Limar (love the guy, great teammate) just isn't as talented. Hughes is already gone and I just don't think we'll see much more of Harris or Riggs in the future. Agree with Charles, the "lightning and thunder" combo we had with LaMike and Blount could be coming soon. Let them tire chasing Hill around then Davison can pound them into submission. I think there is very good chance Hill starts against Indiana.
  19. This is a really good pass by Dillon Gabriel, and a pretty good game for him considering it was his first start!
  20. We have not had a running back with breakaway speed like Hill in a very long time; not since LaMichael James, over a decade ago. I sense that Davison has much more upside in picking gaps to bursting through them, although he is very good, actually better than most of the RBs already. That block by Davison on the second play in the article produced a "crack" sound you could hear in the telecast over the other game noises. It was a hit! So delighted to have a THUNDER and LIGHTNING combo again!
  21. The AP Poll Week 6-7 Playoff. ROSE BOWL - No. 1 Ohio State vs. 9 Texas Tech at 8 Alabama SUGAR BOWL - No. 4 Ole Miss vs. No. 12 Memphis at No. 5 Texas A&M ORANGE BOWL - No. 2 Miami vs. No. 10 Georgia at No. 7 Indiana COTTON BOWL - No. 3 OBD vs. No. 11 LSU at No. 6 Oklahoma No Penn State - 😁- With Nebraska and Cincinnati's wins on Saturday, UW's sterling road comeback, Michigan finally closing out the team with the best rush D in the country, yes, Wisconsin, PSU with games at Ohio State and home vs. Indiana and Nebraska, USC with but one loss and games vs. Michigan, at Notre Dame and at OBD, and one-loss Illinois and Maryland, are in theory, still in the PO hunt. B1G PO separation games in Week 7: OBD vs. Indiana; Ohio State at Illinois; Michigan at USC; Nebraska at Maryland. [Northwestern at Penn State - 🤔- Don't laugh! NW defeated UCLA.] SEC PO separation games: Florida at A&M; Oklahoma vs. Texas; Bama at Mizzou; UGA at Auburn; Wazzu at Ole Miss - move right along, nothing to see here.😧. It's the SEC, so ... The 1st Bobby Petrino audition game sees Tennessee visiting Fayetteville. (Traveling by plane, not motorcycle. 🤪) Mari-oh-oh with a chance to play the PO opener and the champ game in his 'home' stadium. For finishing ranked No. 3, OBD plays a lower-ranked SEC team in Dixie. Can we please have a Playoff and not a Bowl Extravaganza!
  22. I gave up on "experts" years ago when listening to Paul "Fawn"baum read his obviously scripted SEC narrative (Sinclair media style) EACH and EVERY time he was "front and center" on national media during the BCS era. Had me realize that objective, reflective thought on the subject of college football is mostly a bunch of "noise" to meet the "needs" of fan bases and advertisers. In the world of "entertainment" havin' Nuthin' to talk about is paramount to a death sentence. Better to fill the void with BS than lose your audience or cashflow. Ergo where we are at with the plethora of podcast and streaming "options" available today. I don't know but I like to try and live by the mantra of: Better to keep quiet and appear a fool or uninformed, than open ones mouth and remove all doubt. 😉 Go Quackers!
