  4. I loved the effort out of Dakorian Moore but I think Malik Benson probably takes it. He was quiet and doesn't have the hype around him but he was darn effective. Defensively it's difficult to pick anyone as the whole unit was so effective that they just got the job done. Thanks Alex for also not taking the easy pick of Dante Moore (or any QB) because that is the easiest place to say player of the week.
  5. Hats Way Off for Coach Corso. 6-0 in his Week 1 picks, including the only guy to pick FSU, was a great way to finish. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/lee-corsos-final-picks-go-6-0-as-revered-college-gameday-personality-has-perfect-send-off-from-show/?ftag=SNL-04-10aaa0b&ET_CID=471162&ET_RID=52482716 Lee and Herbie have the same PO Champ game twosome: Penn State vs. Louisiana State. 9. If it makes you feel better Gat, 2008 was also when your Gators beat out Ducks in the elite eight on the way to their basketball championship. That was our best run since winning it all in 1939 until our final four in 2017. Yes we’re thirsty for another one of those trophies as well!
  10. I don't believe he was talking out of his mouth when he made those comments.
  11. As I mentioned in another thread, I think he’s trying to get his donors to pony up. He’s basically saying his team will be perma stuck in irrelevance until they do and that would be a correct assessment.
  12. So is he looking to join the new PAC? Seriously, aren’t the Cowboys members of a P4? Are they going to opt out of joining the new big boy division when it happens?
  13. He disproved the notion that $ makes better football programs when his boys struggled to beat hugely underfunded UT Martin. Apparently $ is not an issue until you face someone who makes better use of it than you do. Come on Gundy, you're better than that. Maybe...
  14. Gundy's willful ignorance is astonishing. He has had the T. Boone Pickens golden horseshoe up his backside his entire career and wants to call out Phil and the Ducks? In fact, Phil just improved upon T. Boone's original model. Of course, he sported the mullet into the 2000's so he may be a bit obtuse.
  15. I don't know if you heard about the comments Mike Gundy made about the Ducks needing to play opponents who spend similar amounts on NIL. But, you gotta love Dan Lanning's ability to call someone out for talking out of both sides of their mouth ... and do it amicably. I liked this comment especially. "Some people save [??] to have an excuse for why they don’t [win]." https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/we-spend-to-win-oregon-coach-dan-lanning-responds-after-mike-gundy-notes-how-much-the-ducks-spend-on-their-football-roster-130730546.html
  16. One thing that was also of note, with so many players rotating into our offense. No turnovers!!
  17. MicroBurst61, I agree with you on all accounts. OBD has an incredible video production crew. I've enjoyed every one of their videos.
  18. Uncle Phil? Is that you? 😆
  19. Oh it's going to be a "wonderous" season. I fully appreciate the high level of football entertainment, year in and year out, that OBD provide. We are a fortunate fanbase! GO DUCKS!
  20. Great article. I had an interesting conversation with a Bobcats fan at a restaurant post game. I told him I thought they actually looked pretty good as they didn’t really have many breakdowns and give up huge chunk or game changers minus the punt blocks. I told him the reason for the lop sided score was more due to the Ducks simply winning one play after another on both sides of the ball. Four and five star guys doing four and five star things all day long will do that. This game reminded me a lot of the Georgia game for the same reasons. It really felt like nearly every player deserved MVP for how solid they all played throughout the game. Montana St looked like a well coached and disciplined team that ran into another well coached and disciplined team with much more fire power. No shame in that. I think this may be the beginning of a special season.

  22. Notable quotes in Dan Lanning's weekly press conference before the Oklahoma State gameWith a game under their belt, the Oregon Ducks have a lot more substantial things to look at, improve upon, and actual game film from their first Division I opponent of the season in Oklahoma State. Coming off of a Week 1 win against Montana State where the Bobcats were dominated 59-13, we saw a lot of great things from Oregon, particularly the young players on the roster who had a chance to get out and prove themselves for the first time.
  23. Dan Lanning responds to Mike Gundy's NIL comments on Oregon: "We spend to win" Oregon head football coach Dan Lanning defended his program in response to the multiple comments about Oregon's NIL spending made by Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.
  24. Thanks Alex for the Article today. Your picks are worthy of your recognition. The whole team was worthy! The first pick for me would be A'Mauri Washington and the defensive line. From the first play and on they took away the run for Montana State! Honorable mention would be the running back room, expecially the freshman Jordon Davison for his 3 touchdowns. Thanks again Alex for all your writing.
