  2. Oregon commit Anthony "Tank" Jones receives 5th Star in Top247 UpdateMobile (Alabama) St. Paul's Episcopal edge Anthony "Tank" Jones saw his rating move up from a 94 score to a 98. He climbed up from 247Sports' No. 43 overall ranking to No. 19. Moving to No. 19 puts him into the five-star tier that is reserved for the nation's Top 32 recruits. The ranking increase now makes him Oregon's top-ranked recruit in the Top247 rankings - and gives the Ducks three total with five-star status. He is followed closely behind by safety Jett Washington (No. 22) and offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho (No. 25) in the five-star tier. ‌ Two more Duck commits are five-star recruits in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings. Jalen Lott ranks as 247Sports' No. 33 overall player - one spot outside the Top247 five-star tier. Tight end Kendre Harrison is also a composite five-star - he moved up to No. 36 in the Top247 on Wednesday. 247Sports updated its rankings ahead of National Signing Day, and Oregon edge commit Anthony "Tank" Jones is among the biggest movers.
  3. Oregon commit Xavier Lherisse receives 4th Star in Top247 Update247Sports revealed its big ratings update on Wednesday, two weeks ahead of National Signing Day for the 2026 class. Among the changes is one future Duck who has been bumped up from three-star to four-star status. The Ducks entered the day with 19 commits in the 2026 cycle and 15 being four-star recruits. Melbourne (Florida) Eau Gallie safety Xavier Lherisse now becomes the 16th Duck commit with a four-star rating by 247Sports. He was bumped up from an 89 score to a 90 on Wednesday, putting him in the four-star tier. 247Sports updated its rankings ahead of National Signing Day, and Oregon safety commit Xavier Lherisse has moved up to four-star status.
  4. USuC's offense is better than Indiana's by about 10 yards per game. However, their defense is worse by about 95 yards per game. When Oregon faced off against the two teams with top 10 defenses they averaged 19 PPG. When USuC played against two top 15 defenses they averaged about 23.5 points. The averages say that USuC will probably get 21-24 points in Autzen Stadium on Saturday. Oregon just has to score more than that against their 47th ranked defense. One more statistic. The best offense USuC has face all season in Notre Dame (18th). The next best is Michigan (40th). They also gave up 34 points to Illinois (69th ranked offense) on the road.
  5. I believe sections 37, 38 and 39 are originally reserved for visiting teams. That should be close to 3500 tickets. Some season ticket holders may be out in the cold or be moved. It probably isn't many. I know I had tickets for the Pac 12 championship game when the Ducks hosted it with my season tickets.
  6. Yesterday, I tried to post Lincoln Riley's thoughts on GameDay's visit this Saturday. Thank you, Grandpa, for noting my post was not successful. It's a day later, but Linc is still ticked off over anything and everything having to do with ESPN. Unfortunately, I have to agree with him. 🤬 https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/trojans/football/2025/11/18/usc-football-espn-college-gameday-lincoln-riley/87340288007/?utm_source=smg-trojanswire-strada&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=SMGbaseline&utm
  7. At 61, I was still coaching soccer in all seasons, was bench pressing 250, and my Dad was 90 years old and still drining a cable link D7 bulldozer. Now, at 72, I'm watching the Ducks from my recliner, listening to my jointss creak, and Dad passed away just short of his 101st birthday. That's progress. Having ESPN and the SEC dictate "the CFPrules"Isn't... It's selfish, greedy old men in a smoke filled backroom, patting each other on the back and knocking back bootleg shots, while maintaining the status quo at the expense of the rest of us.

  9. This game feels different than that Indiana game. Oregon's offensive identity has sharpened in part because of the WR injuries forcing WS to modify the game plan, the talent advantage at the TE position and the O-line improvement after moving Pregnon to RG. Samples utilizing Davison, Whittington and Hill Jr as the RB by committee sledgehammer is the difference. Unlike what happened in the Autzen loss, the path to victory against U$C is clearer: Run. The. Damn. Ball
  10. It has been said many times, the CFP is decided by B1G TEN and SEC. It doesn't matter what the ACC, B12 or G6 think or want. I am happy the SEC is going to 9 conference games next season. Much harder to look good on paper without 4 automatic wins.
  11. I agree, why rank 25 teams when only 12 make the field? Six SEC teams in the field. It Just Means So Much More? 🤮 https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-playoff-predictions-scenarios-game-picks-week-13-bracket-national-championship/
  12. Inside Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein's rise from Friday nights in Texas to the national spotlight"He's one of the brightest stars in college athletics," Traylor said. "There's a reason he's called Will 'Sunshine' Stein." Stein may not be a first-round pick like Bridgewater. But he sure produces them as Oregon'soffensive coordinator. Teddy Bridgewater once took his job on the way to becoming a first-round pick. Now, Stein is the play-caller developing future Day 1 QBs.

  14. Analysts Get Real On Stakes of USC Trojans vs. Oregon DucksWith the Oregon Ducks entering their second to last game of the 2025 regular season against the USC Trojans, several college football analysts are calling this match-up a decider for the College Football Playoff. George Wrighster Weighs InAnother big talking head bringing major hype to the Ducks vs. Trojans matchup is CW college football analyst and former Oregon tight end George Wrighster III. Wrighster had strong words to describe the Saturday battle at Auzten. "Anybody who's associated with either one of these teams knows that it is bigger than the Big Ten Championship," said Wrighster on his Youtube channel. "It is bigger than College Football GameDay being there and Big Noon Kickoff. This is bigger than the College Football Playoff. This is an ego game." Wrighster argued that recruiting advantages are on the line for this game, as Oregon recruits several kids out of USC's backyard in Southern California. The analyst also argues USC is clawing back to relevance, and defeating a younger star program like Oregon could help the program "reclaim past glory." 20. Madison Beer's post has Oregon Duck fans speculating about guest picker for 'GameDay' Herbert's new girlfriend, pop star Madison Beer, posted on her Instagram story a picture of Mount Shasta from the window of a plane. For the geography fans out there, Mount Shasta is located in Northern California, just about 40 miles south of the Oregon border. This means you'd have to fly over it on the way from Los Angeles to Eugene. It may end up being just a coincidence, or it could be unofficial confirmation that both Herbert and Beer will be in Eugene this weekend. If that does end up being the case, fans would be thrilled at the return for the hometown kid. We should learn officially within the next 24-48 hours who the guest picker will be.

  22. Showdown with USC looms larger with Oregon at No. 7 in the CFPThe committee released the new College Football Playoff Poll Tuesday evening and it creates a little more pressure for the Ducks. Tightly bunched ranking forces Oregon to win outA first-round home game in Autzen Stadium would be a huge edge, but they have to beat USC and Washington to maintain their spot. Ole Miss is on a bye this week before the Egg Bowl. With a convincing win Saturday the Ducks could edge them out for No. 6, which would put them against the ACC champ in the first round and No. 3-seed Texas A&M in the quarterfinal. 24. In defense of 🤡, if they can even get whiff of Stein that would be the best hire possible for them for so many obvious reasons. Reality check, high end P2 coordinators don’t typically leave for G6 programs, especially in 2025…would be completely insane given the current demand.
  25. The delusional and willing ignorance continues. I actually saw a conversation on one of their sites where someone said, “hard pass” concerning Stein. He’s not up to snuff ya know .
  26. Don't talk about years, talk about levels. You've reached the 75th level--that's impressive!
