  2. I agree with Charles that this team is still very young and has a ton of upside to improve by the end of the year. I was paying very close attention to run defense today and I do have a concern at the linebacker spot and I’m not sure what we can do about it this year. Boettcher plays his heart out and makes a ton of plays, but he misses some, too. And who’s after Boettcher? Jackson is consistently blocked. I watch Boettcher come across the field to make plays on Jackson’s side. Mixon is coming on, but I still see only 2 tackles. If we send Boettcher on a stunt, who cleans up behind him? Overall A for effort, but I’m not sure we have true, natural linebackers. I hope Tosh can coach these guys up.

  4. Holy Hoosiers. I thought that this season's Indiana could be ... Indiana. It won't be easy to put these Cigs out in Week 7. I'm old enough to remember watching Nebraska O-linemen who could block. Looking at Biff and Wink on the Michigan sideline, I'm pretty sure that neither is welcome at an all-you-can-eat buffet. 🤢 Jackson Arnold - couldn't go home again. The Red River Rivalry will not be another Texas blowout. Is this Ole Miss team better than last season's PO or bust and then busted Ole Miss team? Rutgers' 14 points in the first quarter were the most Rutgers has ever scored against Iowa. A record Scarlet Knight crowd of 55,000-plus saw Rutgers go 0-5 against Iowa. The costly Rutgers INT in the 4th quarter was Iowa's first takeaway of the season and Rutgers' first turnover. On the other hand, the Terps are now 1-4 vs. the Badgers. Pat Fitzgerald, where are you? The Pac-2 had a really bad day. 😁 Ohio State better be prepared to play ball next Saturday in Seattle. Pound, Punish, and Pulverize Penn State.
  5. Whenever the camera pans the Illinois sideline, Bielema looks like he's trying to remember where he left his wallet and car keys. Same look he had when Oregon beat Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl over a decade ago. Lord, what an embarrassing beatdown.
  6. Here we go. Death, taxes, and Mario losing to unranked teams.
  7. And Florida gets on the board v Miami with a late 3rd quarter TD. 13-6/Miami
  8. Man, is Indiana really this good? They are dominating Illinois on both sides of the ball and they can't keep Altmeyer upright. Mendoza is having a career day. I agree with others that I'm glad Oregon gets them at Autzen after a bye following the Penn St game.
  9. I'm not talking about a certain game taking place. As Pennywise would say "B....b.b.......Billy Boy needs to go" Texas Tech looked really good. Missouri and South Carolina are punching each other in a 17-12 affair. Vanderbilt is about to go to 4-0 and are ranked in September for the first time since 1956. Oklahoma continues it's impressive start. Nebraska lost it's 28th straight game vs a ranked opponent, and Indiana is pummeling Illinois right now. We get to see the battle of Troy tonight as the Spartans look to conquer the Trojans in the colliseum. Hopefully no Achilles tears appear tonight.
  10. Oregon coach Dan Lanning offers early thoughts on next weekend's game at Penn State It's here. No. 6 Oregon will meet No. 2 Penn State in State College next year. Oregon coach Dan Lanning offered early thoughts on next weekend's game.
  11. Oh boy.... Syracuse scored on their first first possessions and broke a five game losing streak to Clemson. Fran Brown has done a great job. Dabo surely isn't going to overreact if he gets a question about his defense struggling right? "SEVEN OUT OF TEN PLAYOFF APPEARANCES!!! TWO TITLES!!! NINE CONFERENCE TITLES!!"
  12. I’m glad it’s at Autzen. Indiana is tough at home.
  13. It all comes down to how our two lines play, if they step up their game we can play with just about anyone, if they don't improve we'll struggle against the elite teams. They have to start throwing their weight around and get better with their technique, too many mistakes to survive against the teams that are in the top 15. I'll also be interested to see how our game calling evolves.
  14. Natty ready? As in, are we under, or overrated? This is a good team. Always tough to judge how good, against teams where we are favored by 4 to 5 touchdowns. So far, we are not relying heavily on one receiver, or running back. Eight players caught passes today, with Sadiq having the most with four receptions. We ran 45 times, and Limar had the largest load with 12 carries. We were faced with 3rd and long too many times today, and the 3rd down conversion rate was low, based on the quality of the defense we faced. Next week we will get a clearer picture of whether we are a viable contender.
  15. Indiana is going to be a very tough game if we don't step up our game, I'm very glad that one is after a bye.
  16. So far, Oregon has done what they were expected to do. The Oklahoma State game was an anomaly. It looked like a great win but the Cowboys showed their true colors last night. Next week will be a great test in a hostile environment. I hope Oregon doesn’t start slow. Playing catch-up in Beaver Stadium is a tall task.
  17. I know the eye test is also a good measure, but statistically our D vs the run is quite good. We held OSU to 2.6 a carry. Take away one run vs the reserves we held NWU to 2.8 a carry. I'm not sure what we want. No one stuffs every run every time. We have a big test coming up vs Penn St. But let's look at this another way, Penn St. has a big test coming up vs OBD. Frankly I haven't been that impressed with Penn St. so far considering their opposition. This will be a big step up in competition for both teams. I'm liking our chances.
  18. That and Washington State looks pretty bad. The missed tackles are ridiculous. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see WSU's coach jump ship by year's end. He's done pretty good for the Cougs but there isn't much of a future there.
  19. Please let me know if anyone has found a good Penn State message board (preferably one that doesn’t require a subscription) or can recommend things to do/see in College Station, PA before the football game. Looking forward to seeing one of the coolest traditions in college football and hoping that our beloved Ducks can find a way to get the W. Go Ducks!!!

  26. For the second consecutive week, the Oregon Ducks started a bit slow — but once again, they found their rhythm and pulled away as the game progressed, cruising to a 41–7 win over rival Oregon State. Oregon’s offensive start to Saturday’s game went just as many expected — a dominant opening drive that covered 75 yards in seven plays, capped off by a beautiful 22-yard touchdown connection from Dante Moore to Dakorien Moore. GAME RECAP: Ducks Surge to 41-7 Win Over Oregon State
  27. The Oregon Ducks got out to a bit of a slow start in the highly anticipated Civil War matchup with the Oregon State Beavers. After a quick touchdown drive to begin the game, they went over a quarter without a score. But once they found the rhythm that they seemed to lose last week, they could not be stopped, putting another 34 points on the board in about two quarters of game time. Much like the first two weeks of the season, everyone that took the field for the Ducks seemed to impact the game in a major way.
