I tend to agree that long drives against TT could rely on establishing a consistent, early down run game that make Dante’s 3rd or 4th down passes shorter, and inside the 1.5 second window.

I don’t understand this “career move.” Is Chip desperate for money (i.e., he has a SPENDING problem) or does he just enjoy coaching so much that he can’t sit out a year and potentially land a bigger job next year?

This either makes the case for Lanning’s suggestion of the higher seed’s stadium being the site; or, as others have suggested, a neutral site more equidistant between the two schools.

As always, hard to bear in mind that the primary uniform audience is recruits, not me. School colors do get their days, but white, black and grey tend to rule. Just look at what is worn on most any high school campus?

Chip had more pros than cons and I'm not talking about players going Pro vs getting arrested while at Oregon. Can't say for sure but it seems to me that the Ducks would not be where we are right now had it not been for Chip. Chip was 1/8" away from a Natty win. Subsequent coaches built off what Chip started. Outside help from Nike and Duck media did the rest. CFB is an ever changing landscape where the hot thing of today is a thing of the past 3-4 years latter. That’s way cheaper than what many of us paid for Penn State tickets. My guess is distance is playing a factor along with fans waiting until the semi-finals and championship games to make a serious investment into their teams.

I love tradition, but not with venues. Either make all playoff games (except national championship) home games for the highest seed, or select a venue as equidistant as possible between the two opponents.

This is one of the reasons bowl season doesn’t really get me excited. All the good ones are reserved for the playoffs and the non-playoff teams get stuck with the leftovers. Great points all around. My thoughts. Our run game will be key in establishing and maintaining long, sustained Scoring drives. I believe the ability to grind out 3-4 yards per carry between the tackles and 5-6 yards around the edge wewould be more than enough to wear down this stout TT Defense. Problem is TT doesn't give up nearly that many yards per carry albeit against slightly inferior and undersized opponents. Quarterback pressure, on both sides, will be another key to how the game flows. Our D has done a good job of QB containment but not as many sacks as you'd like to see after 13 games. As pointed out TT QB doesn't deal well with pressure. Making him "uncomfortable' and speed the game up for him will be important in forcing mistakes. Protecting Dante and giving him 3-4 seconds in the pocket and he will pick apart the TT secondary. TT don't blitz a lot but I fully expect several blitz packages to keep our O-line...on their toes...and give their free rusher several real shots at Dante. Not a whole lot of film on TT blitzing. Lastly, Play Clean, Green and Yellow Ducks from Eugene, Play Clean. Turnovers, Missed assignments and missed tackles, PENALTIES (especially those PI ones, late in games, that extend opponents drives by our Freshmen DB's), will be enough to sink OBD's run at a Natty for 2025. This TT team is full of NFL caliber players, as is OBD. Play to the best of your abilities and Play Clean and it will be difficult for TT to find ways around our coaching and talent to beat our Ducks and move on in the Playoffs (Playoffs???) in 2025. Dante Moore MVP of this game will be all you need to know that the Ducks won and move on. Win, or please No...Lose, this game should be one of, if not, the best game in the 2025 playoffs.
