  2. Personally, I don’t like the idea of promoting someone without more OC experience (1 year at Rutgers?). It’s too important a position to the future success of our football program to take a chance on someone. The OC position at Oregon is one of the most coveted in college football given our reputation, talent, resources and track record of prior OCs becoming HCs. We should be able to hire a top notch, experienced OC.
  3. Chris Henry Jr. did not formally submit his paperwork to Ohio State before the conclusion of their signing day press conference. Reports are that he is still considering Ohio State, Oregon and USC in light of Hartline’s departure and plans to sign today or tomorrow.
  4. Yep. He is done. Kinda fell off the radar for Oregon fans because of the mission, but he can be a game changer!
  5. Our Man Dan has no worries.😍 Oregon Ducks On SIDan Lanning’s SEC Moment Comes Full Circle In A Way Nobod...Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning’s comments that took a subtle shot at SEC scheduling have now come full circle in a hilarious way. Even after losing both of his
  6. "Bair will be joining the Ducks in the Fall..." I read a few weeks ago that his 2-year mission in Texas started mid-February 2024. Seems that would make him available for Spring camp? Church NewsWhy Gatlin Bair, the biggest football recruit in Idaho hi...Burley’s Gatlin Bair is the biggest recruit in Idaho history, and will soon decide where he will play. Then he plans to spend his next two years as a Latter-day Saint missionary in Texas. Here’s why h
  7. Penn State has been taking their sweet time hiring a coach and James Franklin is making them pay. Fighting GobblerJames Franklin continues to torture Penn State and flip t...Wednesday is Early Signing Day across college football, and there is still no coach in place at Penn State since they fired James Franklin back in October. As f
  8. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more conversation about ESPN College Football Gameday‘s choice to cover the SEC championship game over the B1G championship game featuring #1 vs #2 and the only 2 undefeated teams remaining. Every single day, ESPN’s bias shows more and more. What is the over/under for the number of minutes they spend talking about how Bama deserves to be in the playoff despite the result of the SEC championship game? What about Texas and Vandy?
  9. Don't Worry, B1G Happy 😁😁😁 AP NewsChampionship week: No CFP worries for Big Ten with No. 1...The Big Ten will be the only conference with a sense of calm this weekend with No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Indiana squaring off in its championship game.
  10. No offense to our Dawg friends, as a lot of us root for ya’ll when our teams aren’t playing, but you won’t find a whole lot of sympathy here. Georgia still has the most talented roster in college football and I’m sure you’ll reload with a top, experienced, battle tested transfer portal QB. Now go beat the #%&@ out of Bama! I want to see the politicking kick into high gear down south come Saturday evening. LOL.
  11. Lines courtesy of Josh Pate via @FDSportsbook: JMU at Oregon (-18.5) North Texas at Oregon (-19.5) Tulane vs. Oregon (-24.5)
  12. Vanderbilt is RiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiCH!!!!! One should expect them to be upper echelon for the foreseeable future. This Industry is getting flattened out just like the NFL. We may see a few teams at the top in blocks of 2-3 years but it’s going to be anybody in the top 15 can win it all. We might be there already.
  13. Chris Henry Jr. did not formally submit his paperwork to Ohio State before the conclusion of their signing day press conference. Reports are that he is still considering Ohio State, Oregon and USC in light of Hartline’s departure and plans to sign today or tomorrow.
  14. Drew Mehringer under consideration for promotion to Oregon offensive coordinator Oregon tight ends coach and co-offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer is the internal candidate to watch to replace Will Stein as offensive coordinator, per reports.
  15. I mis-read the Tweet. He is signing Thursday.
  16. It took me a minute to figure out what this chart is trying to do.
  17. Buster Faulkner, Georgia Tech’s OC, may be the leading candidate given he seems to run a similar offensive scheme, played QB in college and coached with Lanning at Georgia. I wonder why GT’s PPG is in the low 30s? All of their team offensive stats (red zone, 3rd down conversion, turnovers lost) seems to be in the top 25 nationally. They also have a balanced attack.
  18. Good news, thanks! I got the news of his signing off espn. I hate espn.
  19. NO! Was it over when the Germans, er, Saint Nick, told Lame Kitten to get lost and head out to FAU?
  20. Gatlin Bair is going to be amazing for Oregon. He did his two year mission, and is an absolute speedster! Put him in the slot and holy heck!!!
  21. I have to wonder whether ever before there were three P-4 head coaches on the sideline coaching the same team at the same time. 😄
  22. I am actually not as worried about the OC/DC leaving as I have been in past years. Here is why: Dan "Freakin" Lanning. He has become the west coast version of Nick Saban and Saban had coordinators leave all the time. Recruits WANTED to play for Saban and DL has that exact same vibe. DL is better at relationship building that Saban was. Oregon has now become a destination program and add in the DL relationship piece...well, we are in a good place.
