  7. Oregon Ducks named among top spenders in NIL world in 2025 per latest poll Oregon Ducks named among top spenders in NIL world in 2025 per latest poll No specifics were given, but the general belief is that the Ducks are able to spend more than their share in securing some pivotal transfers. "Similar to some of the other stalwarts of the NIL Era, Oregon has not had any problems spending top dollar on players. That has been backed by Nike co-founder Phil Knight, who started the Ducks’ NIL collective and has committed to seeing his alma mater win a national title," On3 writer Pete Nakos said. "Oregon restructured its offensive line with Nevada’s Isaiah World and USC’s Emmanuel Pregnon, both highly valued players."

  9. Maybe he was held back a year when he was younger, and will graduate with his actual age group. In which case he is short on a year of experience rather than physical development. And Penei Sewell did pretty well as a 17 year old freshman..
  10. Here's the deal, if Dante is at all what we hope/believe then we are going to be REALLY good!!! So B1G, look out! If the qb situation is at all average, then the season will be tough. But! if our qb room delivers, our D is better and we rock! I'm very positive. 4.5 points is nothing.
  11. Look, Arch is talented but generational? I was a Tebow admirer, but far less for his QB skills as for his leadership and will to win. I always thought of him more as a helluva "football player" who knew how to inspire this teammates and will them to win than as a talented skill player. Hard for a Dawg to admit admiring a Gator but I did for his forementioned qualities.
  12. Well, he is a Rivals 4-Star and improves our 2026 class! Kinda of a studly-looking guy...good for defense!

  14. Not sure how I feel about this. Players who reclassify tend to have to sit out a year or two anyways before making an impact because of body development more than anything else. I'll have to see if I can find the article but someone did a break down of how reclassified players rarely reach the potential of their rankings. So hoping this plays out well.
  15. Four-Star Recruit Davon Benjamin Names Two Powerhouse Big Ten Team Finalists One of the top targets left on the board for the Oregon Ducks' 2026 recruiting class, four-star defensive back Davon Benjamin, is set to announce his commitment on August 2. Benjamin is down to the Ducks and Michigan Wolverines. "Davon Benjamin, the state's top available player, plans to reveal his college commitment Aug. 2, and it's looking like a battle between Oregon and Michigan entering the final stretch. Benjamin mentioned Texas and Washington as well and said that there is continued dialogue with coaches for both teams but admitted that he's got the Ducks and Wolverines spearheading the list of finalists," Angulo said. The No. 5 safety and No. 35 player in the country according to 247Sports Composite rankings, Benjamin took four official visits, including one to Oregon on June 13. 24. I've criticized this ill-conceived so-called 'settlement' enough. This article speaks for itself. NIL deals are being set aside as called for in the settlement, and folks, including the nouveau riche plaintiffs' attorneys, are whining about the terms of the settlement being enforced? 25. Combine that with the Alamo Bowl and that's the end of things. Defense has been the Duck's weakness for a long time. And that's what makes the Lanning era exciting right now.
  26. It was the uniforms! (Isn't that always the case with OBD?) Mark Helfrich was done in by a series of uniform debacles. Consider: The disgusting "Oregon Trail" threads that became a point of humor for the Pirate (WSU coach Mike Leach) after beating us in Double OT at Autzen The clownish "Daffy Duck" orange socks uniforms that set the stage to be roasted by Colorado at home The retro "Cal Leather Helmet" combination that made us look like absolute buffoons against the Bastard Huskies in our 70 to 21 loss at home I'm convinced it was the fashion faux pas combined with fittingly ugly home losses that sparked the ire of Duck fans and decision makers. Ultimately, Mark was done in by equipment fails.
  27. Gray is always always always a bad look for our Ducks. At best they look meh at worse they look like pajamas.
  28. The dagger to the heart of the Helfrich era was 70-21. It was inexcusable. He could've taken Oregon to a bowl game that year and still would've gotten fired. However, his lack of leadership was evident during his first season. Under Chip, Oregon had never been blown out. Helf managed to lose at least one game in blowout fashion every year he was at Oregon. 2013 (Arizona), 2014 (Ohio State), 2015 (Utah), 2016 (take your pick).
