  2. What I want out of this game is for Dante, all of our starters, to be done at halftime.

  4. Penn St. gets an unfair scheduled bye this week before the game. First odds already posted for No. 6 Oregon at No. 2 Penn StateIt's a clash of Top Ten teams and preseason conferences favorites, both 3-0 with PSU enjoying a bye this weekend, the Ducks at home against Oregon State Saturday in Autzen Stadium. Oddsmaker CricaSports released the betting line Thursday, installing the Nittany Lions as a three-point favorite. Autzen ZooOdds already posted for No. 6 Oregon at No. 2 Penn StateA rematch of last season's Big Ten Championship Game, won by the Ducks 45-37, Oregon travels to Penn State for a White Out night game on September 27.
  5. Wichita was a major disappointment after his injury... Former Cali Prep athlete of the year who had personal bests of 20.8 @ 200m/10.5 @ 100m. At Cordova HS, Wilhite had 4902 yards rushing and 70+ tds as a RB. His career at Oregon was disappointing after he suffered a massive hamstring tear his hs senior track campaign, followed by multiple injuries his freshman campaign with the Ducks.
  6. All of those things help in the same way that a good screen game will help all of those other things. It’s a symbiotic relationship.
  7. The Beavs are now basically the equivalent of playing PSU... and no insult to PSU intended. Everything has changed so much that, frankly, the only reason I can see the game regularly continuing is if it's totally to the benefit of OBD.
  8. Today
  9. This one is longer, but explains a ton using Oregon's Jamaree Caldwell as the example for defensive line performance. Good stuff!
  10. This first one is Jon Gruden explaining "techniques" on defense, and is quite helpful.
  11. Ah yes, the oregon legislature. Forgot about that, good point.
  12. Getting picked last was more metaphorical, but if they had to get picked, it would have been tied for "last" with WSU. Joining the new Pac-12 is certainly being picked last, in spirit. True, that would a definite road experience.
  13. 25-35 point beatdowns if they're lucky. Might see an Oklahoma Statle like beat down. Oooooh those OSUs!
  14. The bubble works best when we are playing fast, the running game is potent, and QB can throw to all levels of the field. Ross Douglas, the wide receivers coach, has the receivers running crisp routes, and blocking at a high level. Considering all the new faces on offense, we are far from playing our best game this season.
  15. I here ya. But, yeah, I'd like to see us play other teams.
  16. Thanks, Coach. Much appreciated, as is Charles' comment. 👍👌😍
  17. Very professional declaration/press release from the entity representing both fan bases. Case closed.

  19. When I was in high school, if we were a showboat after a play, teammates nominated you as the hotdog player of the week. That player had to eat a week old hotdog. You can only imagine the amount of trolling we did to each other. If you jumped up in excitement and it showed up on film day, you got nominated. A few times, guys forgot and got caught up in the moment. The room would erupt in thunderous laughter. We never trolled or taunted opponents, or looked like "we never had been there before ". That's one of the things our coach did to get the most out of us. This is what I'd tell the team: you're the best. Play like it on every down.
  20. Beaver fans are hilarious. They have zero leverage in this and we graciously gave them a guaranteed sellout every other year, but that’s not good enough for them.
  21. A ferocious commitment to excellence regardless of competition. "Win the Day!" . . . all day, every day.
  22. Charles if you want to delete this post because of the possible bad vibes I might be putting out there, do it! But here goes- I was just looking over the WSU Cougars box score with North Texas state and had a bad flash back. WSU had 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles in the first half. N Texas first TD drive was 75 yards, their next 4 TD drives was a combined 93 yards! Do you know where I am going? The OSU/UO of 2000, we out gained the beavs by about 100 yards but lost because Joey Harrington had 5 interceptions and 1 fumble. This will be the only way that OSU will have a chance against Oregon. That OSU team of 2000 would beat this OSU team by 50+. Sorry if this memory makes some of you old time ducks sick 🤮
  23. I also want to add, it won't bother me if the game is not close any more. As a life long Duck, if we put up 60+ every game, fine. Awesome. Games with tOSU, UM, PSU, etc can be close. Blow out the Beavers. The more the merrier. They can be reminded every year of who and what they really are, 2nd class
  24. Starters need to take care of business and come out fast and focused, so we can pull them at halftime. That way they will be rested without being rusty. PSU has a bye week after all. Consider utilizing a gameplay completely the opposite of what you want to do vs. PSU. PSU will be watching this game closely.
