ESPN's FPI Flips to Find the Ducks the Favorite For the Natty.
Continuing FGD’s theme from above, I feel the competition for playing time this year is real. The guys that are the 1s seem to have the focus of knowing how close the 2s are. The 2s seem to know the 3s are right on their heels as well. If Mariota’s ‘14 team had anything close to this amount of depth, they win the Natty. Still a long way to go of course and the competition hasn’t been stellar but this does feel different.

I don't recall a time where we have had a lack of fall-off... Generally a big drop in production when backups take over the game. I recall Mr @Charles Fischer a few years ago talking about how the team didn't quite meet the eyeball test, winning record nonetheless (I think that was back in the Mario days). So far, my eyeballs are very very happy with the speed, blocking, focus, lack of idiotic penalties, & teamwork. I feel like this team will continue to grow!

Does the Team Seem Different This Year? (Coaching)
This does feel different so far. Last year we only scored more than 40 points three times, Oregon State, Washington and Penn State. Never broke 50. Last year had some very sleepy third quarters and it was the norm that Oregon would score 0 points in the third. The game may tighten up and they'd put up some points on the 4th to put it away. As a result Gabriel was in the game through 4 quarters quite regularly. Moore this year is doing what Nix did in 2023... Get the job done and taking a seat. The blocking does feel better and the defense feels like they are improving as well. The 2024 team was probably worse than 2023, we just were ill equiped to deal with the Huskies. Everyone else we disposed of. This season feels similar... We are the better team so far and Oregon is demolishing teams in the first two weeks. Something is different but in a good way.

Moga is the No. 2 Quarterback....MOGA?
Agreed, but these are the games to get that experience...too bad he was not available.

Yes, I know it is a poor sample size, and we won't know for certain until we play Penn State...but both offense and defense....they seem tighter in performance than even last year. I had no complaints about last year, but it seems that blocking is a touch better, and tackling is 15% better. Many times first-downs were achieved on second effort on us by opposing RBs, but in the first two games--we see LBs and DBs closing fast, and maintaining the stop. I could not but help but wonder if anyone else observed this? Now THAT is a Running Lane! Photo by Scott Kelley

Moga is the No. 2 Quarterback....MOGA?
Just saw a report that Novosad was "questionable" for the game. Probably a little dinged up and I think he's still the clear no.2 option at QB. But not worth risking your primary backup if he's not fully healthy.

How 'BOUT That Offensive Line?
Since Lanning took over we have seen some great offensive line play. This year it feels like this may just be the best offensive line yet. And doesn't this feel like the offensive line that we were promised under Cristobal? Massive and physical...

2025 Oregon - Oklahoma State Post-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
How Oregon's offense stacks up statistically through two gamesThe regular season is far from over, but it's never too early to take stock of Oregon's standing across the country. Today, we'll take a look at where the team stands in numerous offensive statistical categories and where the team's top players do as well. I've compiled a breakdown of the team's national and conference standing to help illustrate strengths and weaknesses. Here's a breakdown on how the Oregon offense ranks nationally in individual and team statistics.

ESPN's FPI Flips to Find the Ducks the Favorite For the Natty.
There is no doubt that OBD's have performed at a high level in these first 2 games of the young 2025 season. And i dont want to give the impression that I am not excited about the start. Very, very encouraging! However these performances, stats and results were accompmished against who? How many players on MSU and OK State will be playing on Sundays? I agree with the posters above who feel its to early to come to conclusions and want to wait until after the PSU White Out Game. Can the O defense shut down the powerhouse PSU running game, forcing their QB to make plays? Can the Duck O Line protect DM against a defense littered with future NFL players? Can DM make the adustments at the line of scrimmage or make great throws under pressure? Only time will tell. I think they can...... One thing is for sure, PSU will have their hands full with every aspect of this 2025 Duck team. It should be a great game..... GO DUCKS!

Haha... love the response. I meant no disrespect, just curious. I have no trouble reading the normal text, so I guess that's why it stands out to me. Cheers!

Wrong Again, Only This Time...By a Mile
He surprised me. Next to Bucky, I thought he had the best quick burst, but no idea how to time its use against a defender. My guess is Samples had him doing situation work on that during the off-season.
