  2. You lose one game to Ohio State and ... 😁 It looks like the Big Brother coach has followed the path of the Little Brother coach. MSU's firing of Tucker for cause was upheld. (J. Smith is available.) This is a talented and young football team with a good recruiting class. How many recruits bail and how many vets, including QB Underwood, transfer? Will Michigan show up to play Texas? Interim coach Biff Hoggi's play-calling was better than Moore's. I expect Biff (sorry, McFly 😁) will be the interim coach with a chance at the permanent gig. Underwood was committed to LSU before his services were purchased by Larry Ellison. I'd be shocked if the Portal King hasn't reached out. Maybe Michigan will alter course and go for a private capital deal? Stunning. After the events of this season, I thought nothing could shock me? Michigan visits Autzen next season. OBD return game in Ann Arbor in 2027.
  3. Another element of this path that may not get talked about enough is that if Oregon makes it to the final, they will have essentially three road games after hosting in the first round. With the nation's longest road winning streak by far (12), Lanning has proven to have his team ready in hostile environments. I actually think OBD are more focused on the road than at home and this could end up being positive vs home or mixed stadiums (Rose Bowl or Fiesta Bowl) with family and friends in tow. I wonder if there is a scenario where the team stays on the east coast in between bowl games should they advance vs. returning home for 3-4 days? Travel and jet lag wears on you and obliterates two of your prep days.
  4. Reports are out that the 3 million dollar man, who is less than 11 months from winning a national championship, is now heading to his third stop in that time frame. Meanwhile, Iowa is ending it's 26th season with Kirk Ferentz as head coach, and Phil Parker as defensive coordinator.
  5. Here’s the article confirming it. Sherrone Moore fired as Michigan head coachOn3 confirmed Wolverines players were abruptly called for a team meeting, where they learned of the news. Michigan AD Warde Manuel then announced the decision was for cause after a university investigation found “credible evidence that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member” in a statement. Biff Poggi will serve as the interim head coach. On3Sherrone Moore fired as Michigan head coach.
  6. There's something called the Blue Wall up in Ann Arbor. I don't know if it's real, but I heard from a Michigan State beat writer, that this group was prepping to get Moore out of there. Sounds too much like a James Bond plot to me. But the 'with cause' makes me wonder. As Charles said, kind of a bad time to be needing a coach. Unless this 'Blue Wall' had a plan.
  7. No idea who will take that job, no clue whatsoever. I'm sure the university would have rather this come out mid season than now since this means the recruiting class will be broken up and they don't even get the opportunity to go after the coaches that have now been hired. Kind of a nightmare for Michigan. Campbell would have been very good for them if he was still available.
  8. Jedd Fisch to Michigan?!
  9. Today
  10. Not many great coaches left and available...
  11. They were just looking for a reason to get rid of him. Found a way to fire with cause so no massive payout owed.
  12. That three year run seems to look dirtier, and dirtier. Biff Poggi is their interim coach.
  13. I bet Underwood is really wishing he had picked Oregon.
  14. Maybe they'll hire Johnathan Smith!!!(sarcasm)
  15. Inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
  16. Inappropriate relationship with a staff member is being stated as the cause. Michigan will be in chaos next season.
  17. Yes, but no specifics yet.
  18. With cause apparently!
  19. On3Sherrone Moore fired as Michigan head coach.
  20. Maybe I missed it but I would have liked to hear a bit more about why the UO athletic department felt a one time relatively small upfront cash payment from private equity was necessary. Especially after already taking a haircut to join the conference, agreeing to be mid-tier. I mean, I think I sort of got it and it's fine but I don't know about award winning?
  21. What is funny is how perception changes with age. Less than 5 months ago many here predicted a 10 - 2 record. Seems longer. 10 - 2 may not have been good enough to put us in the CFP. Oregon had the depth to navigate the season, and played very well in spurts, with some inexperience at key positions. Now we are at the point where games will be won in the trenches, and by solid QB play. Our path put JMU in a game that might change future CFP formats. I say let’s deal with them harshly, and prove that they don’t belong. Beyond JMU, all teams in our path want to show that Oregon is just like JMU, simply a pretender. I think most of us believe that Oregon has not played their best game yet. I want to believe we have the talent to compete with everyone in our bracket. Play with discipline, and a big chip on our shoulder. Someone will win it all, why not OBDs.
  22. Yes, but I bet that if Norte Dame wanted to join the SEC or Big 10 the ACC would allow them out of the contract for X millions of dollars and a guarantee that they play one ACC team on the road each year till 2036. Now would they have to take all their sports to another league or just football? If they took all their sports that X would probably be at least XX.
  23. Chris Hampton No. 2 on 2026 national recruiter leaderboard, other Oregon coaches among best in Big Ten Here's a breakdown of how Oregon's coaching staff factors into the Big 10 rankings, as well as where they land on the national recruiter leaderboard.
  24. Notre Dame's approval rating is now lower than lawyers? I'm not certain, but they aren't winning many friends with the PO'd meltdown. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/columnist/nancy-armour/2025/12/09/notre-dame-football-whining-over-cfp-snub/87689944007/?utm_source=usatoday-sports-strada&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=usatbaseline&utm_term=Content
  25. Here are the 2025 'Your Team Choked' rankings. Ranking the most disappointing college football teams of 2025 Picking Nits is spot on.
  26. With regards to the talent level of the competition, I think we have the gradual path towards the championship. I see this tournament as an opportunity for our coaching staff to prove they have the ability to have our players prepared with a game plan to execute against two savvy and well coached teams in Texas Tech and Indiana. If we can't get past at least one of those big tests, I'll remain concerned about DL's decision to promote coordinators from within. First things first. I expect a frisky JMU to show up and be ready to play. We need to bring our A game.
  27. 4th best odds and 4th best path seem to be the consensus - ESPN lists Oregon to win the championship as best bet during the CFP Hats off to ESPN's Pam Maldonado, who recently had harsh words for OBD, and now has Oregon as the best bet on the board.
