  2. Well to be a bit more clear. A charged timeout if the ball is spotted by the officials and THEN a player goes down and medical staff has to go on the field. Which is better but it still feels underhanded and the appearance makes it feel like player safety isn't being taken seriously. However, I'd say at least 95% of injuries are addressed before he ball is spotted and those would not incur a time out or penalty. Additionally, the Lanning rule has gotten some clarity in the rules update. Gotta love how Dan in year 3 with his 12 man brilliance has put a permit any mark on the sport with a rule change.
  3. Hey! I gotta change my attitude...."it is good for the conference."
  4. Guys...you have up an hour after posting to edit your own post. Just click in the three dots in the upper right corner.... Then put your cursor in the lowest left corner, click, and backspace it up. Easy!
  5. Yesterday
  6. This interview with Sione Laulea sums up the competition—sounds like other players are hungrier and showing up earlier… Sione Laulea Discusses Oregon Cornerback Competition in Spring WWW.ON3.COM Sione Laulea is right in the thick of a heated competition at cornerback as Oregon looks to replace three starters from a season ago.
  7. It's most likely the reason why he lost his job to Anthony Brown. Granted... I feel Cristobal did Shough a major disservice with how the 2020 season played out by throwing Brown in as a the starter for the Fiesta Bowl.
  8. And I ask, what criteria has him above Lanning? He had a good run as OC at 'bama, 35-29 at UW, and now at Texas, not close to Lanning, much less better.
  9. A reverse Bo. They both won a game for the Ducks the last time they played for/against the Ducks.
  10. He is shaky, mentally. If you don't believe me, ask Texas Tech fans. (I got a Red Raider buddy who has given me an earful..."what did you send us?")
  11. That would be Sark, who has yet to win a conference championship. Longhorn Male Bovine Horse Manure!
  12. Whatever the source, it’s the kind of desperation move that’s easy to believe the Bruins might make. That’s a program that’s lacked an identity for so long that fishing expeditions have become 2nd nature.
  13. Humm. A charged TO if medical staff goes on the field. If no TOs left, a 5-yard penalty. NCAA approves rule changes to combat players faking injuries - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel has approved changes to the injury timeout rules in an effort to curtail players faking injuries.
  14. And that should always be the goal... at every position. The better you recruit, and the better you develop, the less you will need to pick from the portal.
  15. This weekend: Oregon Invitational Track + Field Meet. No. 5 ranked, No. 1 in the B1G, Women's Golf Team in action at the B1G Women's Tournament in Maryland. UCLA at Oregon Softball - Battle for the B1G Tournament No. 1 seed. Top-ranked B1G Baseball team, UCLA at Oregon series, is also a battle for No. 1 in the B1G. These events are covered on B1G Ten Network. And we're gettin' 50 cents on the dollar! ALSO: NCAA Women's Gymnastics Tourney - UCLA is favored.
  16. The word is that Oregon does not have room for this receiver.
  17. Who's No.1 on the list of coaches without a Natty? I know I wouldn't trade Lanning for him. Kelly, Franklin, Riley, Freeman, DeBoer?
  18. Ah, spring is the season of eternal hope. Our baseball and softball teams win, our golf teams are solid, and our football team is undefeated. But seriously, reading about spring practice has me salivating believing we will be better than last year. And we went 12-0!! Yes, lots of new faces in starting spots, but the talent level!! And true freshmen rocking it! I am so looking forward to the spring game. Hope to see y'all there.
  19. I read some think he is the best "pure passer" in the draft. Not sure what that means, but I wish him well. He is a good person, solid character. If he continues to develop he can have success in the league. He's still a Duck to me.
  20. Personally, I hope he stays there and one of his three wins is vs sc.
  21. There weren't butts in the seats to begin with if you only count Bruin fans, so there may be more to see if he fails.
  22. Is Tyler Shough a franchise QB? - ESPN Video WWW.ESPN.COM Mike Tannenbaum and Adam Schefter discuss whether Tyler Shough can be a franchise quarterback despite his injury history.
  23. Oregon has had a lot of luck with good humans at QB but the ever more entitled yet somehow utterly sensitive young folks are going to make that harder. I shan't mention a current QB on our team who hopped around multiple times. Where have you Gone Joe DiHerbertMariota?
  24. Quack! OBD's Duck Featured on The Sporting News Retirement Announcement. Lee Corso's best 'College GameDay' moments, from 'Not so fast my friend' to James Madison costume WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM One of the show's fixtures is retiring in August. As It Should Be!
  25. Spot On Comment. When it comes to tech, Never Blame Yourself. It's the Gremlins at fault!
  26. A nice snack of Beav before the Bruin entree arrives on Friday.
  27. Th "March Madness" showed it truly is not "Mad" at all. 4 No.1's in the Final 4 showed what ranking & seeding can deliver. Teams are awarded a conference championship and a place in the 64 via a CCG win, but not guaranteed seeding, they could be a No.12 The format certainly didn't know that Oregon would end up in the No.1 spot. They may have drawn up some brackets and seen just what the No.1 was walking into. But even then, save for Joey Harrington, people liked the wait for Oregon over playing a game, a potential loss. Talk about hindsight being 20/20.
