"Texas State is the Next Boise State"...Really?
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
What if....this new conference pulls Boise State down instead of elevating them? (Like an inadvertent loss or two in this weak conference?) -

Oregon Football: Dakorien Moore’s Ceiling in 2025
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think Alex's numbers are a fun goal, but the real question is consistency. It is hard to break into CFB, and do it consistently, and thus why it is so hard for a freshman. But he has the upside! -
"Texas State is the Next Boise State"...Really?
David Marsh replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Not a great spot for a conference when your best team is in the 30s and your second best is in the 70s. Boise should be happy with this arrangement. -

"Texas State is the Next Boise State"...Really?

SP+ Pac 8 Rankings - Texas State has to move up 60 spots to be ranked alongside Boise State. SP+ ranks 136 teams in its 2025 preseason rankings. 33. Boise State 73. Oregon State 82. Washington State 89. Fresno State 93. Texas State 97. Colorado State 102. San Diego State 119. Utah State That's a lot of mis-states, no? I could not find a ranking for GONZO. -
DeBoer vs Lanning: Who Wins a Natty First?
Jon Joseph replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Using the SEC-biased FPI to support the SEC, or an SEC team, in any discussion is lazy, biased journalism. Who in Hades are the referenced Brown and Taylor? Are they haberdashers? Because Brown and Taylor sounds like a good name for a clothing store. I'm pretty sure that in 2024-25, OBD defeated an all-hands-on-deck Michigan team in The Big House and Bama lost to a depleted Wolverines team in Dixie. And I don't think OBD loses to Vandy or Oklahoma.- 1 reply

With friends, er, family, like this? The attached article notes that the Canes' offer came with more money. (DUH!) Will Cane be Able to beat the rap? I have yet to see a response from The U, the ACC, and Mari(o). I believe it is likely that ACC schools, possibly including Miami, had direct payment deals in place, pending approval of the House settlement. Does the ACC want to support all such agreements being unenforceable? Miami fans: 'This wasn't tampering because the House settlement had not yet been approved.' If consideration (in this case, $) was given to the young man with a condition subsequent, that the settlement was approved by the court, then the contract, except for fraud or coercion, should stand. A surprising twist in who exposed Miami in Wisconsin’s lawsuit BADGEROFHONOR.COM Wisconsin taking Miami to court over Xavier Lucas' tampering continues to unfold with all sorts of twists and turns. Each day, as more reporters and people dig

Oregon Football: Dakorien Moore’s Ceiling in 2025
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I'll round up to 800 yards for the season and 12 touchdowns, I hope Moore to Moore delivers a lot of deep downfield TD's, but if Sadiq or Bryant or Kasper got a lot of looks in the red zone that would be fine. if Moore to Moore can simulate Howard to Smith from last season the Ducks will be in great shape, but I don't want a Herbert to Mitchell situation. -

Our Oregon football program took a massive blow this offseason, losing Evan Stewart for the foreseeable future as WR1. We took some time post-injury to evaluate who would step up as WR1 now, since Stewart was a massive downfield asset for stretching defenses and allotting Dillon Gabriel time in the pocket last year. Dakorien Moore is a reasonable answer down the road, just ...
