Browns’ Dillon Gabriel Doesn’t Care What You Think. His Focus is on Proving Himself
If Deion wasn't the father of the Shedeur, nobody outside of Cleveland would be clamoring for who is always the most popular player on any struggling team, the backup QB. It's obvious the Browns preferred Dillon, it's why they drafted him in the third round. The coach is coaching for his job, and the GM is likely tied to this years results as well. They have tied their futures to the guy they think can win. Sanders will likely find his way bouncing from team to team because each year that he doesn't become a star, it's going to become harder and harder as each new batch of young QBs enter the league. This upcoming draft isn't likely to have the best QBs, you'll likely have Mendoza, Moore, Sellers, Simpson,Allar, and likely a late riser like maybe Chambliss or Brown. But it's going to be a pretty weak draft, so maybe Gabriel gets another year.. But with how quickly even first rounders are discarded, I wouldn't be buying a long term property if I were him.

Iowa is up 31-0 with 2:00 left in half. They have scored with a FG, a pick-six, a rushing TD, a passing TD, and a punt return. What's left? Safety? Kickoff return?

Whoa! What Are They Feeding Akili Smith Jr.?
As a smaller guy he already had excellent running ability for a QB, add the bulk and make him hard to bring down when you do catch him and hard to bring down in the pocket if you get to him. There is a lot to like there. If he can be anywhere close to an elite D1 passer (he seems to have those tools too) he will be one exciting player to watch.

Iowa up 30 on Minnesota with 11 minutes LEFT in the 2nd QUARTER. Iowa at home and it certainly looks like Minnesota forgot to show up, but we said the same when Indiana destroyed Illinois. Iowa looking like it is the most dangerous game left for us, and oh yeah, it's after our biggest nemesis: a bye week.

Yeah... IU is definitely the real deal. It was pretty damn funny to see a bunch of their fans with their shirts pulled off and waving them over their heads... as a tribute to Coach Lanning.

Did You Know Basketball Has Started?
I love football, but am excited to watch basketball, too. Regarding the Ducks exhibition win over Utah, 73-53, it's good to get that first win of the season, although it won't count in the standings. Out of the 16 schools in the Big Twelve, the former PAC 12 schools are not expected to fair too well this season, with the exception of the Arizona Wildcats. The preseason rankings: #4 Arizona, #13 Arizona St., #14 Utah and #16 Colorado. The Ducks next game is another exhibition against Stanford. Of the 18 schools in the ACC, former PAC 12 schools are also not expected to do very well. #15 California and #16 Stanford will be in the bottom half of their conference.

Purdue pass was batted into the air, recovered by the QB, fumbled, and covered by Rutgers to create the opportunity.

A good game right now between two 6-1 teams: USF at Memphis. Likely neither coach will be with the same team when they play next year. Winner today will likely have the G6 slot in the CFP.

Rutgers just tied Purdon't at 24 all in the fourth... Ensuing play, with 1 minute left, Rutgers recovers a fumble. Rutgers FG as time expires.

49-6 after 3 Q's. One of the interesting things is how many vacant seats there are in the stadium, capacity 52,600. Not just now, but earlier.

Sark to the NFL?
They’ll definitely swing for the fences, but Texas is the CFB equivalent of the Dallas Cowboys. The only difference is the Texas head coach has multiple Jerry Jones’ telling him how to do his job instead of just one. Honestly, I think Sark is sick and tired of the boosters trying to tell him how to run his program. I’m also quite sure that they’re hanging his job over his head because of how this season is going. His agent outwardly telling a journalist that he is interested in the NFL is basically Sark’s way of telling them that he doesn’t want to be there anymore.

Whoa! What Are They Feeding Akili Smith Jr.?
I hope our coaches design the offense to let Smith, Jr. use his legs as a weapon, when he gets an opportunity. He is quick and with that size, he will also truck defensive backs.

Browns’ Dillon Gabriel Doesn’t Care What You Think. His Focus is on Proving Himself
DG led the Browns to their second victory of the season. He is playing it safe but is also making some nice throws and he has the legs to make things happen. The focus is what Cleveland will do about Sanders before the trade deadline.
