  1. Don't like that Nebraska put up 44 points on Wisconsin today.
  2. Nice to see Prime & Heisman favorite TH go down today. Perhaps an off day at the office will cause his odds for the trophy to plummet as they did for DG a week ago. Now we just need to see Wyoming pull the stunner against Boise:)
  3. Shelstad had 6 assists, all in the first half. That's bringing it when your shots aren't falling.
  4. The "fatigued vs fresh" factor was the main storyline of that game IMHO. Which makes our stellar play in the 4th quarter, especially from the d-line, and really the entire defense, all the more impressive.
  5. Upon reflection, I'm having a difficult time choosing my "superlative" player. Too many choices! I'll suggest a few of my own categories: * Shooting Star: This is the guy who is either the best player on the field, or quietly performing behind the scenes: Kenyon Sadiq * Crunch Time: When you need clutch (as in 4th and 9 with the game on the line) T. Ferg of course * Line Judge: Who owns the line of scrimmage? My favorite dirt dog: Jamaree Caldwell * Tip of the Spear: This is the guy who signals to opponents they are in for a slobber knocking game: Jordan James (of course) * Secret Weapon: The freak of nature whose middle name is "Game Wrecker": Matayo Uiagalelie (My current favorite player and biggest source of confidence) So many more that could be mentioned, and I guess that's the point: This team is loaded with difference makers. Great culture for a championship run. Go Ducks; Annihilate the Dawgs!
  6. Well that was a nice turnaround. Happy to see it...didn't want any bad vibes traveling to Madison with OBD.
  7. Hard to believe Portland lost to UC Santa Barbara by 39 points. Strange game.
  8. If I put my fears of a major injury aside, I see this road game in Madison as a glimpse of the Summit. Win this, and you are in the Big Championship. Major goal accomplished on your way to the Natty. You have a bye week to prepare for the Dawg Poop beat down with no pressure whatsoever. Lose to Wisky, and now you are in a must win situation vs UW. That to me is worth circling the wagons and making sure you have everyone focused to bring your absolute best THIS Saturday.
  9. I'm curious to see how the O-Line grades out. Seemed like someone was getting blown up regularly killing the plays before they started and setting DG up for some big hits. Reminiscent of the first two games of the season before we got things figured out.
  10. Loved the Coach K clip Lanning showed, and the moment it was fulfilled in the big house. "Wha's the key? Preparation is the key. In this game, I'm going to come up to you at some point, I'm going to ask you to take a peek. I'm going to ask you to look around and see them leaving that place because we did our job." Wow, that is next level coaching that is making this team a force to reckon with. Go Ducks!
  11. Here is the video on YouTube: Thanks DUCati855
  12. Keep Going Ducks!
  13. The Illini gave up 49 points in their overtime win over Purdue. Chances are the Duck is going to be doing a few pushups Saturday.
  14. Every one of Oregon's vanquished opponents won or is winning today: Idaho, (Boise State with a bye has only lost once; to OBD), OSU, UCLA, Michigan State. All of them winners AFTER losing to OBD. That's saying something.
  15. So, is Illinois that good, or is Michigan that bad? Seeing how they lost to the disgusting dawgs up north, Michigan may just be that bad.
  16. Don't know that I love being #1 this early in the campaign. That's an awful big target on your back from here on out, but, what are going to do? Trust the process. Shut out the noise. Play for your brothers. FEBU!
  17. Seems like the "eye test" on OBD used to be we were either fast but a bit on the small side, or big and a bit slow. Now we look big and fast. I like what I'm seeing!
  18. Limar? Harris? Would be nice to see if someone in addition to James can tote the rock. Well, okay, an outstanding catch by Whittington will do!
  19. Breaking News: PI penalties will now result in a touchdown when it is apparent the offender was intentionally choosing a 15 yard penalty instead of giving up a sure score. (This loophole must be closed according to NCAA verbiage stating that "a team should never benefit from committing an infraction".
  20. Yeah, the way the snobs cherry pick what offends them and what doesn't is pretty lame. There are scores of things teams do during the course of a game to leverage the rules in their favor, "Hurry up and snap the ball before the truth comes out about who really caught the ball" being one of the more obvious. How about throwing the ball to the ground to stop the clock? How about kicking off out of bounds to avoid the possibility of a big runback? How about stepping out of the back of the end zone or kicking the ball out of the back of the end zone to opt for a safety instead to giving up a touchdown or field position? Come on blue blood snobs, have a little self awareness!
  21. Senior Guard Jermaine Couisnard was 4 for 17, 0 for 5 from beyond the arc, and 5 turnovers. Hard to know what to say about that stat line.
  22. Out of sight and right on!
  23. What a wonderful turn of events from less than a week ago. When UW kicked off to Michigan they were on top of the football world. Who knew that Michigan taking that opening drive to the house would spell the beginning of the end. Poof, Cinderella’s carriage turn back into a pumpkin!
