What a wonderful turn of events from less than a week ago. When UW kicked off to Michigan they were on top of the football world. Who knew that Michigan taking that opening drive to the house would spell the beginning of the end. Poof, Cinderella’s carriage turn back into a pumpkin!

So much for Michigan’s top rated defense getting freaked out by the laser like passing game of Washington. Defense still wins championships:)

Yeah, I was exhorted to “Bow down to Washington” in the office this week. And we are supposed to find some level of elevation in their success? Not I! GO BLUE!

U of O grad living in Seattle… Even after losing 12 in a row to Oregon, Husky fans projected an air of superiority and ridiculed the fake “O stands for Zero NC’s” program built by Nike $. My two favorite teams will ALWAYS be OBD’s and whoever is playing “M”.

Texas ranked 116 against the pass this year. One would expect Penix would have put up Bo Nix like numbers. While some would diminish Michigan’s #1 ranked defense and #2 against the pass statistics “because they didn’t play a passing attack like Penix and company” you would have to agree the windows will be tighter and the task more difficult than vs Texas’ porous secondary. Also noteworthy: The top rated passing defense Penix faced this year was Oregon at number 54. The rest of the teams all ranked around 100 or worse, with Stanford topping the crappy list at 133. Judging by the stats, Penix has not faced a good pass defense all year. That will change Monday night.

UW also should have lost to a horrible ASU team at home, but for a travesty no call on an obvious game ending pass interference call, and miraculously escaped a simarly anemic WSU team at home. They are not invincible by any means and could be embarrassed by a much more physical Michigan squad. Just sayin.

I expect UW to have their 21 game winning streak come to an end in the same manor as FSU’s 29 game streak in 2014. 59 to 20 sounds about right.

I just saw the U.W. won the Moore award for the best O-Line in the country. How did this happen? I don’t recall them having stellar recruiting classes. How good is that coaching staff Debour has assembled, and why aren’t they being pilfered like our staff is every year? Thankfully we get them at Autzen next year! Go Ducks

Quite the list of quality opponents for these deserving PAC teams: Arizona vs Oklahoma Oregon State vs Notre Dame Utah vs Northwestern USC vs Louisville Oregon vs Liberty

I’m thinking OSU and WSU fans are rejoicing at this bowl opponent. It be like: “Now you know what we feel like when our big games are against Fresno and Boise State.” On the upside, it does free up my New Years Day to do something more meaningful!

In 2021 Dan Lanning’s Georgia defense gave up 41 points to Alabama (their first meeting of the season). When they met again for the national championship, with all the marbles on the table, Dan Lanning’s Georgia Defense gave up only 18 points in a 33 to 18 thumping. I expect a similar performance from DL’s crew this Friday. Go Ducks!

Agreed. When people don’t like or agree with the simple interpretation of the facts (2 schools trying to steal $400 million that doesn’t belong to them) they resort to emotionally driven smokescreens and unrelated rationale. To quote one who speaks more rationally, “Stay on point and do not be so easily diverted.” And, a quote from my favorite shrink: “Reality is your friend” Dr Henry Cloud

Much as I would like to I absolutely cannot root for the Huskies. The way they woof after any success obliterates all other rationale.

You would think that TT would be psyched to get in with so much time to play. Let’s see.
