  1. That 4th&1 shouldn't have been done from shotgun, imo.
  2. Oregon completely surprises everyone and beats the Dawgs handily - 59 - 14! And when I woke up, I was once again disappointed in another false hope dream. Oregon loses again 62 - 21 ( 14 of the 21 coming in garbage time) Let's face it, folks ... Oregon isn't on that level. May never be. Georgia is a team that knows how to show up for big games, and win championships. Georgia will hear all the pundits praising Oregon, Nix, and Lanning/Dilly, and will make a point to thrash us worse than before. Oregon isn't the only team that can improve. Georgia would be ready, and motivated to put that little team from the west in their place. Sad, but true. Unless..... I'm wrong. Which happens frequently.
  3. Of all the sporting events I've ever been to in my time, l have to say nothing holds a candle to the experience in Autzen. It's truly a game day atmosphere like no other place I have ever been. Welcome to the club!
  4. I think we could all agree that Oregon could use a bruiser back to complement Bucky & Noah. I don't mean a "short yardage" back like James. I mean a guy like Zach Charbonnet, who will run 10-20 yards while running through/over/past/ but mostly through guys. Royce was that last Oregon back I remember to have that ability constantly, but there was this guy from Lacey, Washington a few years before him who could plow over guys. I wonder whatever happened to him Also, LeGarrette Punch .... Er, Blount, used to have that ability when he was able to stay on the field. Light, twitchy, fast, and elusive is always fun to watch... But sometimes you just wanna see a back bulldoze the field.
  5. Bucky (and Noah) have better vision, burst. But how would have Dye done under the tutelage of Locklyn?
  6. The "Pick" represents the turning point in the trajectory of the program. The day Oregon said "we are here". That onside kick was a well timed, great play, but prolly won't swing the program in an upward direction. (But who knows) This could be a great conversation. What are the pivotal moments in Duck history? (the footnotes version)
  7. Yeah, but the darlings of the ACC are sure to stay top 6. Bama could pass them, but not likely. My guess is the top 6 stay the same. It's looking like Oregon could be #7
  8. Right? ... And against an elite defense, who knows how Oregon would perform? Georgia? I would take a win in Vegas, and a win in a NY6 bowl. A great, but realistic way for DL to end his first year as HC.
  9. Bama is sinking Mississippi State. Mike Leach is leaving Tuscaloosa tonight like: TCU is behind right now to K State. A TCU loss, along with Ole Miss could be very good for Oregon. Little Brother is handling Colorado. No surprise there. Furd beat Arizona State. Good for Coach Shaw. It will be nice to see how Cal does at home hosting the Mutts. Oregon fans may want to watch. Any other games interesting to y'all?
  10. I like to imagine CK looking up at the scoreboard at the end of the game and reminiscing about his glory days in Autzen. Kenny D is killing it! If he stays here for a few more years, his teams might have Oregon fans saying: "Chip who?"
  11. 100% He knows his team "Won The Day" ... no need to rub it in.
  12. Same defense in 2014. Ohio State was better that year than Auburn in 2010. Oregon was better on offense too. BDB defense doesn't win championships... Oregon fans know all too well.
  13. Oregon needs to play at an elite level to win a Natty. Giving up 448 yards/30 points to a good team may be fine for a team not playoff bound, but Oregon needs to do better to be an elite playoff contender. I agree though, great coaching in-game today.
  14. Who knows what happens behind the Green and Yellow curtain, but I'm sure DL plays a big part on Defense. The Ducks played well enough today, for sure. But as a playoff team? ... Oregon would need much improvement. Imagine then how elite Oregon would be.
  15. Yeah, I agree that defense should be the biggest concern, and special teams have improved (that onside kick!), however even DL said in his post game presser that improvement on special teams is still needed. (although he says that about everything ) There's that great article over on Fishduck.com, which was well written, about this subject. You'd like the author.
  16. I'd like to see significant improvement on defense, and special teams before declaring Oregon a Playoff contender. They could make it, but if they have weakness in 2/3 of the game (offense is rolling), then the elite teams will win.
  17. Great win! I do have some reservations, however. I hear talk about "playoff", and I can't accept it. I do not think Oregon is a playoff team yet. UCLA is good, maybe even great, but certainly not elite. No Pac12 team is elite this year, imo. Including Oregon. It takes being elite to be a playoff team. I do believe Oregon is on the way, and perhaps next year, but there will be inconsistencies even still with a QB change, and players leaving for the draft. I'm confident that Oregon is a Pac12 Champ caliber team this year, but just not a National Championship Team. But hey, it's only my opinion, and... anything can happen in CFB! Go Ducks!!!
  18. Seriously. He should be up there on the Doak Walker award list.

  20. Exact perfect balance between pass/run. Amazing The only stat I hate to see is 5/30 in penalties
  21. Let's hope that growth mindset prevails in the second half.
  22. Not that anyone will watch, but if you wanna hear MC after the Duke loss: https://youtu.be/zDgVRhK7-kA
