  1. Kind of, yeah. But today's college football is such a brutal grind now, I'm not surprised. OSU is in the midst of a crucial time to qualify for a bowl game and dropping the last 2 like that was pretty bad. They need 1 win out of the next 3, I think Stanford is their best chance.
  2. Yeah I doubt Aliotti comes back as a DC unless perhaps it just misses the routine that much. I could see Keith Hayward make the move however. Given that he's a co-DC at Cal, moving to a primary DC role would be a logical step forward for him.
  3. Well not really. However Canzano does make a good argument for Aliotti to be Jonathan Smith's new DC, another suggesting Keith Hayward. Interesting to think about.... https://www.oregonlive.com/sports/john_canzano/2021/11/canzano-oregon-states-jonathan-smith-sends-a-message-with-firing-of-defensive-coordinator.html
  4. Firing Donovan won't change a thing for the puppies. Lake doesn't know how to hire coaches and it will continue to drag them down. Fine by me lol
  5. That competitive energy is what's driving the program forward. Whether you like it or not, he took it personally when another coach called his players dumb and responded on behalf of them. I'd rather have a protective coach with fire in his belly than one who just rolls over.
  6. I would've had Cardwell punch that last td in. Yeah I'm a little petty like that lol.
  7. MC needs to tear Pittman a new one on nationwide TV like he did Hutson. What he did was completely and utterly inexcusable. This game should be over.
  8. The offense is picking a fine time to act like it has no idea what it's doing.
  9. If Oregon beats down the puppies they move to #3
  10. I hope MC lets JM keep his foot on the gas the entire game, would love a 30+ point blow out. That being said, I also hope MC is keeping the players under control after the Lake's garbage comments. The team has been keeping penalties under control, we don't want more taunting penalties killing scoring drives all game long.
  11. I think JM would obviously be the more likely to leave, particularly if Oregon makes it into the CFP this season. He's probably wanting to get back into an HC position somewhere in the Power 5. MC would be far more difficult to pull away, given his cautious and conservative tendencies I don't think he would leave a really good thing like what he's created at Oregon. Plus I don't think there are many other programs that have such support and freedom to do what he sees fit, there's usually a ton of meddling by ADs and/or boosters.
  12. Clemons is a physically larger receiver (6'3" 205#) than Satagna (5'11" 170#) and rated higher than either Satagna or Anderson (247 and Rivals) as well as being an All-American invitee.
  13. Lake is now trying to reel that comment back lol. Far too little, far too late.
  14. Exactly. Once the rushing offense starts ripping them for large chunks of yardage, the passing game will open up with the DBs trying to help out up front.
  15. I don't know why he would want to flip to Arkansas, they're a perennial doormat in the SEC.
  16. The rankings seem appropriate at the point in the season as they're following past precedent for head-to-head matchups. CFP appearance > NY6 bowl appearance. Even if it's a loss, being in the playoff represents the notion that you're right up there for a CFP championship. Tremendous for recruiting as well as the financial windfalls.
  17. I feel that's the case with AB, he just can't process the RPO as fast as Moorhead needs him to so the schemes were adjusted for that. The best OCs tailor their offenses around the QB not the other way around, Moorhead has obviously done that the last couple games and it really shows in AB's improvement. I'm cautiously optimistic of Oregon going into the puppies' house and stealing their doggy treats.
  18. It's interesting that Nicholas Anderson is flipping now because Darrius Clemons has mentioned that he wants to do a 2nd visit to Eugene very soon. I don't think this is coincidence.
  19. I've read in a couple reports that AB's improvement is because Moorhead simplified the offense due to his struggles on the "read" portion of the RPO.
