  1. Oregon 48-31 3 TOs 3 sacks 295 yards passing
  2. I can't wait for DL years 3 and 4 when he and Lupoi are primarily working with players they recruited. It should be a lot of fun to watch that defense.
  3. OBD definitely have a legit shot at the CFP. That being said, all they can do is control what they can control which is win out (yes I'm stating the obvious). There are head-to-head matchups between teams and inter-conference play in the top 5-6 that will definitely affect standings depending on who wins/loses, so crossing my fingers but staying focused on the immediate objective: spank the Fuskies!
  4. 52-14 4 TO 3 sacks 290 yards passing
  5. Other than the possibility of NIL, the only real thing MSU can offer is distance to home. I don't think that's enough to offset the terrible state of their football program right now.
  6. Personally I'm also thinking that the Pac will need to expand even further. Bring in SDSU but also UNLV, SMU, and either Fresno St. or Boise St. If the UC regents somehow force UCLA to stay then Fresno/Boise aren't needed. We already have the 4 corner state universities, pulling in UNLV and SMU makes sense to expand exposure and recruiting blueprint into the SW and Texas. Imagine how many recruits would see Oregon games on regular basis if they're playing in Dallas?
  7. Doug Flutie would give you the stink eye right now! lol 6'3" is perfectly fine. Talent and confidence matters more than physical traits, though it helps to have them all.
  8. Beavs of course. But that's like being forced to choose between stepping in poop or vomit.
  9. I'm not adverse to the smaller size of their stadium, that can easily be made up by the enthusiasm of the fan base. According to the article, that enthusiasm seems to be coming in spades. I'd rather have a smaller venue jam-packed with a raucous crowd than the tumble-weed infested lands that inhabit the Rose Bowl when UCLA plays their home games...
  10. While he shares some similarities with DAT, he clearly doesn't have the same physical abilities (otherwise he would have been a 5* ATH recruit like DAT). While he showed some potential in the Spring game, overall he hasn't shown the same elusiveness and breakaway speed that DAT routinely showcased during his time at Oregon. The only obvious spot he would fit into would probably be slot receiver but that's currently occupied by the more experienced Hutson. I think he may transfer.
  11. Watching the Michigan/Michigan St. game. I bet Mel Tucker wishes he never left Colorado. At least there he was having some actual success.
  12. If I were a player or recruit for Miami I'd be looking for ways out right now. Yikes.
  13. Darn it I had 48-24...noooooooooooo
  14. Wow, that was just sad coverage by the secondary. They just keep getting burned on those long shots.
  15. 42-17 looks way better than 35-17. Now put in Butters for the last drive!
  16. I'd like to see another TD before the end of the game. Style points matter, teams like Cal need to be blown out for OBD to jump up the standings.
  17. Hopefully this TD means the players have been shaken out of this malaise they've been stuck in.
  18. DJ Johnson has been the lone bright spot on defense so far.
  19. Saw the replay, he didn't even get to secure the ball. It bounced right off his chest.
  20. WRs not paying attention, very unfocused. Hutson drops a wide open pass into his hands and Franklin loses his pass the defense for an INT. The coaches need to wake these players up.
  21. Secondary is now getting outplayed. Way too many long pass completions on that drive.
  22. I think Nix was getting a bit frustrated so he took matters into his own hands on that one. That's fine with me, I'd rather he get it out on a short play here than him trying to do long ball heroics elsewhere. Good decision.
  23. I'm glad Wilcox didn't take the job. While I respect him on the defensive side, he's always been a middling head coach to me. If he took the job, even with the resources available to him I don't think he'd recruit better than top 25 on average and win records would be 7-9 wins every year. No thanks!
  24. That stadium isn't anywhere remotely close to full so noise shouldn't be an issue. Don't know why the OL is so skittish, two false start penalties already.
  25. Offense seems to be out of sync. Masa's false start really messed up that last drive. As good as he is, he seems to be causing a lot of false starts this season.
