  1. I mean, most teams have nothing to lose when playing #1 on the road.
  2. Plenty of action! Cal UNLV FSU Army and Navy, if they’re playing 😂 Whoever is playing ISU and BYU in the B12 Anyone with more than 1 loss in the SEC
  3. Fentress is ok, but definitely goes out of his way to be the villain. When he starts trying too hard is when he strays into being annoying.
  4. What’s extra funny is many of their fans are expecting a big recruiting year to draw ‘em in, because, ya know, they were in the old PAC. So they’ll be at the same talent level they were at in 2023, so good shot for 11-1 right? Going to be rough.
  5. It’s only 12, BYE isn’t a school 😂
  6. Reality still not quite setting in, they’ll explain away going 6-6 this year. Going 5-7, at best, with that trash schedule next year, might make things more clear.
  7. We are stacked to the gills with talent. Now that things are rolling and consistent, I would expect our recruiting classes in the future to be under 25 players every year. As to the QB observations and the portal. I believe we are doing it perfectly as is. A high profile transfer took the job this year and we are currently developing 3 guys that I believe were all 4 stars or higher out of HS…not sure how to do it any better than that.
  8. Total blowhard IMO. Why is he "very disgusted"? It's not like he went there.
  9. I'd say 100%. Sometimes it doesn't feel like it, but schools that are what I call arbitrary powers can fall off. Yale is STILL #1 for number of CFB championships. Oklahoma is #9 on that list, but it has now been a quarter of a century since they won one. Finish 10th place in your new conference a few years in a row and suddenly you're some school in the middle of nowhere that seems like ancient history.
  10. Tough one, I’d give the edge to FSU. Not sure how you go from undefeated regular season to what they are now. They’re just awful. At least U$C is only “4 plays away” from undefeated. One could also make a strong case for Oklahoma. First year in the SEC is a BAD time to disappear. If they don’t right the ship next year they could become the next Nebraska.
  11. These talking-heads really don’t like to be wrong, and most of them picked tOSU. Pick apart reality enough and you become correct.
  12. It’s not totally hands down imo. Georgia beat Texas and Clemson (both top 10 now) as well as played Alabama even though they narrowly lost. Not sure how legitimate BSU really is given Idaho did just about as well against us, that was all about OBD, not BSU.
  13. The same Illini that gave up 49 at home to Purdue just last week. As I rewatch the game with that lens I don’t even see how that’s possible, but cool, they’re #20! Favored by 25 over a ranked team is a bit hilarious, but I’ll take it if the public wants to believe Illinois is good.
  14. One of the best resumes and undefeated, so yes.
  15. This. Everyone keeps talking about how we’re going to Hoth. Odds are very high the weather will be just as bad in Eugene those two weeks. We’ve regularly had November games in places like Utah, Pullman, Seattle, Boulder, Corvallis, and Eugene. We aren’t from San Diego.
  16. Broadcast said undisclosed illness I believe
  17. Interesting takes. We could lose to Wisconsin, but predicting a loss is another kettle of fish imo, they aren’t great. Imo the biggest threat remains Michigan on the road, with a QB switch this week finally happening, that game should be our #1 red alert.
  18. No matter what conference they ended up in, to me it feels like every former PAC team is doing just about exactly what they’ve been doing the last 15 years.
  19. Oh yes, my favorite topic here! Apparently all is well over at “Benny’s House”
  20. Indeed! But even beyond that, tOSU has eliminated their margin for error of being in control of their own destiny. At 10-2 they'd most likely be at the mercy of a tie-breaker. It is a long season, their remaining schedule: Nebraska @PSU Purdue @NW Indiana Michigan Is that a guaranteed 6-0? 4 potentially tough games there with no more byes.
  21. 1 As our good buddy New Weasel once said, “scoreboard”. In a 1 point game, you don’t have to be Pete Carroll to find 1 play or 1 blown call that would have altered the outcome. Here’s a question/hot tip, in a 1 point game you lose, why did you leave 1 timeout in the chamber? Be better. Bold prediction, we won’t play tOSU again this year.
  22. Aww he thinks it can be salvaged. They just lost two more starters from the D for the year, but I’m sure they’ll suddenly discover the clutch gene and run the table.
  23. From indifference to hate, there is no in-between when taking on the establishment.
  24. Of course, they have to defend their failed pick…they can’t just say they were wrong.
