Oh yes, my favorite topic here! Apparently all is well over at “Benny’s House”

Disappointed in National Coverage of Oregon vs. Ohio State
JabbaNoBargain replied to a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Indeed! But even beyond that, tOSU has eliminated their margin for error of being in control of their own destiny. At 10-2 they'd most likely be at the mercy of a tie-breaker. It is a long season, their remaining schedule: Nebraska @PSU Purdue @NW Indiana Michigan Is that a guaranteed 6-0? 4 potentially tough games there with no more byes. -
Disappointed in National Coverage of Oregon vs. Ohio State
JabbaNoBargain replied to a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
1 As our good buddy New Weasel once said, “scoreboard”. In a 1 point game, you don’t have to be Pete Carroll to find 1 play or 1 blown call that would have altered the outcome. Here’s a question/hot tip, in a 1 point game you lose, why did you leave 1 timeout in the chamber? Be better. Bold prediction, we won’t play tOSU again this year. -
It's Must-Win For USC For the Rest of the Season
JabbaNoBargain replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Aww he thinks it can be salvaged. They just lost two more starters from the D for the year, but I’m sure they’ll suddenly discover the clutch gene and run the table. -
How Does it Feel? EVERYBODY Hates Us!

From indifference to hate, there is no in-between when taking on the establishment. -
Disappointed in National Coverage of Oregon vs. Ohio State

Of course, they have to defend their failed pick…they can’t just say they were wrong. -
Is it Time to Feel Sorry for Them Yet?
JabbaNoBargain replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Nope! They burned the bridge to that remote possibility for me when they attempted to bully the MWC. That was their one friend and ally over the last year, and now they’re trying to destroy them…keep it classy Beavis. -
Concerned About Officiating vs. Ohio State?
JabbaNoBargain replied to peterfish55's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Every fan base thinks refs are horrible and out to get them…look at any fan site and it’s pretty universal. Personally, I’m more worried about tOSU’s overall talent level! -
Vandy over 'Bama: Some Losses are a LOT Worse than Others
JabbaNoBargain replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Going to be some 3 loss teams in the playoff imo and BSU has a shot at a top 4 seed…which would be fascinating. -
This. They should just go independent since they can’t play well with others.

Canzano: Informative and Makes Me Want to Hurl...
JabbaNoBargain replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I mean sure, it is/was a relatively entertaining product, and someone will eventually pay for it. The key phrase I used is relatively. There is worth, it’s just not as much as they think. Scaleable history repeating itself. -
Are Oregon Transfers Forever Ducks?
JabbaNoBargain replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
My take away from the responses is that it's a case by case basis, and there is no cookie-cuter formula. See one Jonathan Smith for how things can go haywire, very quickly. -
Our Potential Future Schedules?
JabbaNoBargain replied to Thomallister1291's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Seems clear to me the short-term aim is to guarantee 4 spots (in a 16-team field) for each of the P2 to allow them to play each other more without the risk of missing the playoffs due to increased losses. With this in mind, perhaps the interaction will be more than one cross-over game each year. I could see there being a home and road cross-over each year…this is what fans want, more big-time matchups. That being said, the core philosophy of no G6 road games should become fundamental. -
On that note, Teresa was hired by Larry Scott in 2018. Would you want someone hired by Larry Scott to head things up in a tough environment? This is all like watching a spider swirl around a toilet as history repeats itself and the Scrap overvalues it's asking price. Many Scrap fans, likely including the newest members, are under the impression they'll be signing a TV deal in the $12-$15M per school range, which would be the best of all G6's. Barring some significant additions from the AAC, it sounds like they're actually looking at $7-$8M. Prepare for more disappointment piggies.

One thing I’m wondering about is BSU regret. They had a special deal with the MWC that provided them a greater share of the revenue. Might they actually end up making less with the Scrap? I have to think they jumped because they envisioned the Scrap getting Memphis and the others they whiffed on. Yes, they do have the wrong commissioner, but they have the commissioner they deserve.

Did Oregon State Slide Into an Ideal Spot After All?
JabbaNoBargain replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Trick question. My answer is yes, it’s ideal if they intended to become a G6. That being said, they will not stay on top of any G6 conference. The same factors that made them slide into the worst winning percentage in the history of the PAC did not go away. The were superior to the teams they’re looking to join up with now, but that was because they rode on the coattails of relevant programs that propped them up for decades. I think they’ll be the same old Beavis but at a lower level. On average they’ll be 5-7, and once every 10 years they’ll pop off a 10-2. -
After the Idaho game? Deeply concerned. Now? We’re 4-0 with two road wins and win over a BSU team that is likely to make the playoff, possibly even as a top-4 seed given the trajectory of the B12. We have a dominant D and an offense that keeps improving. The comparing of apples and oranges is an interesting phenomenon, I get it, that’s what fans do. But extrapolating what tOSU did against Akron, Western Michigan, and Marshall into some forecast of doom for OBD because we struggled against BSU and Idaho is a false equivalency imo. No paper champions in September for beating a slate of nobodies.

Power Ranking the Old Pac-12
JabbaNoBargain replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Game Day to Cal! -
Noticed this as well. What adds to the hilarity is the piggy narrative that adding SDSU, etc. was some sort of decapitation of the MWC. Of the teams they pilfered, only BSU is actually good. The other 4 are pretty weak, but have potential due to tv markets, recruiting footprints, etc. If these 4 reach their potential, piggies will be middle of the pack in the scrap-12 pretty quickly. If they don’t reach their potential then the conference is a joke. Hard to know which path I like better!

Do people think MSU is good? Our beat down of UCLA was exactly on par with what tOSU just did to MSU…stats are nearly identical we just happen to have a WR fall from the terrible playing surface which led to a pick 6. Look at UCLA’s stats on the road versus LSU last week. That’s a ranked SEC team on the road. Quick turnaround with Friday night game coming up, maybe we eased back a bit because it’s a long season? Tough crowd here. If people don’t think that was a dominant conference road win (which to me is always satisfying) then I’m barking up the wrong tree.
-
Is the AP poll really “the powers that be”? I’d drop them a couple spots if everything else is chalk. Really depends on how impressive other unbeatens rated behind them look. IMO you’re going to rightfully be penalized more for struggling with non-conference opponents you’re supposed to beat by 40, than you will against a decent conference opponent. The average AP voter is so out of touch it took them an additional week to realize they should drop OBD a good bit for that ridiculous performance against Idaho. None of these mechanics really matter in September. Go at least 10-2 and we most likely make the playoff no matter who the losses are against.
-
All hilarious. It’s like they took some of their treasure and buried it in their back yard in case they need it someday. Today should be that day piggies. Instead, they got cheap with offers, burn bridges, burn through most of the money anyways…all to end up in a situation where Texas State is the holy grail and they’re identifying FCS schools to con into elevating. Clearly they have a delusional image of their national worth both as a league brand name and OSU/WSU as programs specifically. They really think they’re going to dominate their new conference because they used to be in a P5. The slide will continue with the new company, just as Utah lapped them in the real PAC.

If you can’t see clearly in like 30 seconds, should just default to call on the field.
