  1. Solid smashing! Sidebar - what are the theories on why Angel continues to start? I realize we don’t have very many players over 6’7, but at a certain point that stat line of his isn’t worth 2 inches of height.
  2. lol - imo, it’s only a trap if you think it’s an easy game and it’s not. Our home court advantage has been questionable this year and I personally wouldn’t be shocked if we lost. Curious to see what the crowd is like.
  3. I can’t imagine they didn’t take us seriously in the first game. By what standard? Did they party the night before? Is that the same reason they lost to Michigan? We beat them in their place prior to the game at Autzen, it was the national game of the week, Chip was returning to Eugene with a contender, etc. If they didn’t take that game seriously they need to up the meds. All my opinion of course and with all due respect.
  4. I think UW had 17 turnovers give or take and averages closer to 6, was all about the D. I really don’t recall seeing Angel from about the 4th quarter mark on. If Bamba was the scoring threat he was supposed to be we’d be rounding into a very dangerous tournament team. BTW - why is this the only version of basketball without quarters?
  5. Only if it’s always at Autzen.
  6. Eh, I don’t blame him for anything, but I also don’t think we’d miss a beat if we had to bring in a new guy, kind of like when we replaced Dillingham.
  7. Yep. Bad shooting, soft, low-motors, non-athletic, small guards. Other than that…
  8. Much like Beavis’ entire existence, it’s a shell game. Their athletic department sure does enjoy trying to claim victory on the accounting front. Get what you can I guess.
  9. Wouldn’t care aside from the fact they’re crowing about their “surplus” being larger than ours. Shrewd beggars, so much smarter than OBD!
  10. Will probably be the relatively worst roster he’s ever worked with. Let’s see what he’s got.
  11. I think it depends on how deep “the top” is. 2 teams? Not so much? 4 or 5? I think yes.
  12. I actually forgot we had this game, against UCLA, where my daughter is a senior no less. I wasn’t out and about either. I was at home, and had the time and access to watch. My brother lives in Eugene, has season tickets, and has to force himself to go. I live in PDX and have an open invite to any game that I have not yet taken him up on. We are lifelong fans and both have worked at the UO at various points in our careers. All that being said, IMO this is the most boring ranked Duck team I can remember. I’m guessing it’s what I see as a lack of fire or high flyers on the roster. Lack of personality IMO. Feels like a serviceable roster that makes the tourney but loses on opening weekend and shrugs.
  13. At a certain point one would think he has enough to never need to work again because of the $ and having it be easy or risk free really isn’t a priority.
  14. I’ve seen the same numbers (don’t remember where), but the same article that published these numbers also specifically said no one believes the Oregon number to be accurate.
  15. I endorse this. IMO USC will never respect us, Alabama will never respect us…etc.
  16. I don’t think anyone believes that NIL number. I’m also starting to think it just happens to be that tOSU had the best roster in 2024/25 and there is no deep problem to solve aside from our great recent recruiting classes bubbling to the surface more as the original post demonstrates. We managed to beat the best team once at home and win the conference that saw the eventual champ finish 3rd in, they just kicked our butts in the tournament, it happens.
  17. HOF level post. The real question remains how did tOSU lose to Michigan at home.
  18. The two teams playing right now would disagree. 😂
  19. Can’t have a starting guard be this irrelevant on offense in 2025. This entire game was bad offensively, but big picture, have to have 2 good starting guards to do anything meaningful.
  20. Couldn’t be more right, probably won’t sustain, but a great ride for a 2 years.
  21. Oh, this was supposed to be a negative? Not like they offered the night before we played them or something. 😂
  22. When the top-4 seeds in a 12-team tournament go 0-4 you can’t really argue the format worked imo. That’s a botched formula no matter how hard ESPN spins it.
  23. Good read. I would say it’s still an unknown. The narrative will shift dramatically if tOSU cruises to a championship versus getting boat-raced by Texas. or what if PSU beats tOSU in the title game? Two teams in the championship game that we went 2-1 against equals pretty top-end in my book. TBD (imo)
