  1. I’ll say it again, imo they had better players at every position group outside of maybe QB. If the team with better players plays better on game day, they usually win. We got the B- version of them in round 1 at home and won by a point. This time we got the A+ version and got smoked.
  2. He’s fine imo, we just lost to the A+ version of the best roster in cfb.
  3. Definitely that bit of the next day depression of it’s all over. I mean, to go 13-0 and get bush whacked by a team from our own conference is just sudden. That being said, I was never really truly of the belief this was the year to win it all. I thought we’d go 11-2 and win a playoff game or two. So despite the playoff flop, we actually exceeded my true expectations. Need to beef up that o-line and have a couple more high end players in the secondary IMO…and a true NFL caliber, power HB thrown into the mix please.
  4. Jimmy's and Joes imo, pretty cut and dry. The team with the most talent in the country showed up at a neutral site.
  5. Good season. My take (imo!) is that the offensive line wasn’t on par with the rest of the talent on this team. We probably should have been 10-2, but had enough other talent to barely outflank the handful of teams that exposed our oline (Idaho, BSU, Wisconsin). I also think the secondary was relatively (compared to top teams) subpar, but good enough for most teams on the schedule. That and tOSU is probably the best team…though I’m not sure how we would have fared in the next round against the remaining field.
  6. Just don’t see the NFL at all in this stage of his career.
  7. I really think this one has the best chance at an upset. Clemson has underachieved a bit, but they’ve got the roster to do it.
  8. Far more legit question. 2 loss runner up from ACC versus 3 loss SEC outfit. They clearly don’t have the same level of roster imo.
  9. This one is so tough. Cold weather, road game for SEC, UT no wins against the playoff field, tOSU with coach on the hot seat and scoring 10 at home against Michigan. Crap shoot. tOSU D shows up in the cold Bucks 21 Vols 20
  10. I really can’t see leaving out an 11-1 team from P2 for a 3 loss team, no matter what data points are there…someone has to make it in.
  11. Totally agree. OBD just went 13-0 in our first year of the B1G, something rarely done by anyone recently in the real PAC. Two of our closest games were out of conference against teams from the state of Idaho. Given the on-field results, OBD did not really find this to be a step up in competition…but the money and exposure sure is nice 😊
  12. I actually stated they deserved to be there since they went 11-1 in a P2 conference. But I also said it turns out they didn’t belong (talent wise) as evidenced by going 0-2 this season (and badly) versus teams in the playoff. IMO of course.
  13. Absolutely should expand. I think it’s charming we can tout always being over capacity, but we need the operational funds and more capacity for the mega-games.
  14. Indiana didn’t belong, as it turns out imo…but the only way to find out was to put them in. No 11-1 team from the P2 should be left out. That doesn’t mean Alabama did belong imo. Just means Indiana had an easy schedule with only 2 playoff team matches including tonight. They went 0-2 in those games, and it was a bad 0-2.
  15. I don’t know about the B1G specifically, but I’m feeling some upsets!
  16. I mean, we are number one and have been for a while so that is a large measure of respect imo…picking chalk when you don’t have a dog in the fight doesn’t generate interest. Do pundits ever pick all 4 #1 seeds to make the final-4?
  17. Getting players has always been at least half the battle, but clearly not everything imo. There is a long list of historic programs that consistently recruit very well, with regular top-10 classes over the last decade and no championships or playoff success to show for it. As the saying goes, hate the game, not the player. The whiners can do something about it or keep doing what they’re best at…whining.
  18. It’s always been “meh” to me unless we’re winning it. Hunter was well deserved imo. He put up great numbers at two positions.
  19. Idaho coach off to New Mexico sadly enough, good run.
  20. NIL Data #19, so clearly it’s not just having the cash. 😜
  21. I know it’s a rivalry game, but that home performance against Michigan was beyond pathetic. 10 points at home for your last game of the year? I think we’re playing Tennessee.
  22. They didn’t know who would get the number one seed when this format was agreed to prior to the season taking place, easily could have been an SEC team. Here’s how I’d set it up. 12 teams is fine IMO, just ditch the top 4 conference champs getting a bye and go with seeding as ranked, top 4 still get the bye. Hold the first round. After the first round, #1 seed gets to pick who it wants to play (from the first round winners) and the venue. Then #2 picks, etc.
  23. Recruiting? NIL? College football experience? Donor relations? Energy and vigor to build something? I lived in "the Triangle" for four years, including when Mack returned. Football is, and always will be second fiddle on Tobacco Road. IMO, an unequivocal stunt hire by Bubba that will feel good for about 10 months. If they get at least a couple of good seasons of attendance in that fall sport Bubba is happy.
