Oregon vs. Creighton GameDay Thread!
Blew it, don’t inbound to Dante please. I don’t usually cry about the refs, but 5 free throw attempts in a double OT? Dante was fouled at least 10 times. Great run though, lot of heart!

Definitely feels like swimming upstream, everything is a struggle.

Creighton significantly better than USC

The SEC Is Staying with Eight Conference Games in 2025?
Oh they definitely play the same game with hoops, but the bigger the field the more it gets smoked out when it comes to playoffs.

Canzano, Pig-2 Chortling Over 16 Million (So Far) NCAA BBall Theft...
They are still blood suckers, but it lessens the blow (to me at least) and would seem a lot worse if they were being cut a check for $30m one day after the tourney ended. At the end of the day, I don’t work in the administration, whether or not these morons get a semi-life raft doesn’t truly impact me other than it’s annoying. As a fan I’ll enjoy watching us host tOSU and being relevant while they try to convince everyone they aren’t a group of 5/6 because they pilfered $50m. That being said, shouldn’t have gifted the grifters a home game, that’s just being masochistic.

Fact that it is spread over 6 years eases the blow a bit for me. Who knows what portion of this they’ll retain in 5 years…have fun with all the bean counting as the units start to dry up PIG2.

Now let’s see if Nebraska takes out another one

And now Auburn goes down to Yale, SEC no doubt overrated.

MADNESS: PAC 6-0 / SEC 3-5
SEC definitely trying to work the system like they do for football. Problem is, this strategy gets smoked out with a large field…you have to play good teams outside the comfort of your ecosystem when the tournament starts. Have to say though, they created a narrative that worked, but in truth the SEC as a conference was pretty on par (at best) with the PAC this year.

The SEC Is Staying with Eight Conference Games in 2025?
It’s probably going to be slightly less egregious with the expanded playoff. Of course that boils down to the selection process and if it genuinely uses SOS. They got away with it to tremendous advantage with the 4 team playoff. Only way they’ll stop is if SOS starts to hurt them, which it probably won’t. Blame the conferences that voluntarily put themselves at a disadvantage…they're apparently more concerned with conference championships than national titles.

Canzano, Pig-2 Chortling Over 16 Million (So Far) NCAA BBall Theft...
What would be really fun is if for some reason one, but not the other is invited to the ACC or B12. Test the bonds of their loser brotherhood.

PIG2. War chest is a bit hilarious, more of a survival fund. Somehow, a pretend conference with no tv deal, is going to be able to rebuild into a power conference and attract new members because they give Nevada and Fresno State a million dollars? August can’t get here soon enough.

Heavy Hangover for Salty Gamecock Fans...
Some pretty funny takes there. The ranked team with 8 losses from the conference everyone that matters loves had the universe aligned against them. Interesting. Guard play is paramount, especially in the tournament. Thing is, you have to have more than one way to win in a tournament. A big man listed at 6’8” (not) and 260 (not) is probably not going to work out.

Dante licking his chops, their big man listed as 6’8 260…I call even those measurements into question. Looking good!

GameDay Thread: Oregon vs. South Carolina!
Good half, still think that shot was not away in time. We could still lose, but this makes me question how good the SEC actually was. These guys finished 1 game out of first in a conference with 5 ranked teams? These guys clearly aren’t superior to us by any stretch.

Turnovers are out of control, that can’t continue

A methodical opponent with an undersized (height wise) center? Like it

Spring Portal Transfer Period Already Becoming Bizarre...
This is why as a fan, I’ve evolved to not getting remotely attached to any names on the roster until August. Macro recruiting? Absolutely. Details of individual players? Nope.

USC Gamecock Fans Pretty Confident...
No one should be overly confident this year. Three #1 seeds had a loss in March. There are like 50 teams with 8-12 losses, nobody knows anything.

College Football Playoff, Pac-12 Agree to Significant Distribution Bump for Oregon State, Washington State
Maybe they’ll refund some of the additional $10m the state gave them last week?

What were Oregon State and WSU Supposed to Do?
A leech may successfully latch on, but it’s still a leech.

UW AD Leaving...
Wild. Originally from Iowa, Seattle must not have agreed with him. That’s a really short run for an AD to make a willing and at best, lateral move. Barnes?

USC Tougher Opponent Than Oregon?
It’s almost like they wrote the article using information from 6 months ago.

What were Oregon State and WSU Supposed to Do?
Great article. They are doing exactly what they should do. Doesn’t mean I don’t think we could have approached things differently. In the end, they are getting crumbs that will help them for about 1 year as things currently stand. That being said, we should have given the rivalry the year off. Giving up a home game and donating a home game to them while they continue to act like they’re doing us a favor by agreeing to play us, while continuing to fleece us, bad mouth us, all while securing additional funding from the state. Way more context at play than preserving history and I think gifting them a home game was a bad call by us.
