Also just saw we signed OL #3 out of Hawaii for 1st of the 2022 class under DL era.

Chad has entered the portal has 1 yr left. Wouldn't it be cool to have him finish his career with the Ducks. He's a legacy and would be able to help our young WRs.

The few schools have been at the top since CFB began. Each of those schools had advantages the majority didn't. It's no different now just different types of advantages. I can count on my hands the # that's won a championship. Change is inevitable but you also know if you've lived long enough, you notice how some things stay the same. I will always delineate between the pros and college by the schools and tradition. The players are still kids not men no matter the money. They will play with the fire of unmet expectations. Another bone to pick. I think we devalue the kids by making them have to be scholar/athletes. How many kids that get their degree end up doing the job in the same field. Not many. If I have physical talents that might take me to the pros, why should I have to get an overall education instead of trailer making my own. Shouldn't it be my choice like it is for the general public. There's no one to protect you from the inequalities of life. I believe the scholarships should be means tested. If you receive NIL money you forfeit the scholarship. The majority know they aren't going to be a pro so they can get their education or you can spend all your time learning your craft. In a way it would be the same as BB. If you are drafted you go right into the minor league or u can go to the NCAA for 3 yrs before u can turn pro. To me this is the fairest, freest and best way to go. Sorry for the rant have had this on my mind for awhile.

I always believe in second chances. Oregon might be the perfect place for him to change his life around. I don't know what happened or if he's even been convicted yet so I don't want to be making a judgment either way. With the stresses of our times it's the least we can do. It's tough for young men out there.

I wish MC all the all the best except if and when he plays us. He's gone now and we have a new coach.

I believe the relationship between the the players and coaches are the key. With the transfer portal opening up CFB it will allow more of that. The coaches are the ones who turn boys into men. This will impact the players future well past CFB. So for me it's a good thing that's occurring and I don't see anything wrong with the recruiting of our future players by MC. Or us going after UGA recruits.

It's the same thing when the NCAA went after Chip. Won't go after Alabama, tOSU etc. Just new blood because that's the only way we could win.

UCLA has always been the BB school. USC is the football team in LA. Tough to change that narrative.

1 difference is he had 3 coaching changes in his first 3 years. Now back with his 1st coach. Let alone playing with lesser players against a tougher league. Also less of an injury history. Smells like a rose to me.

Him would be a huge get beating MC and Kirby. Same with RB that's coming. I would put Florence 1st. As are the staff. DL called him immediately after the CG. Lupoi, Meat and Porchow sic were all at his home Sat morning at 12:00 am. They remained there for at least a couple of hours. A veteran WR is next on the list Any thing else is gravy.

It may boil down to what CJ does. If back he's going. If not he stays. Get in portal now to see what's available before signing day. And wait on Verdel who I believe still doesn't know and that's why he hasn't said anything about it. Either way it's ok. The Ducks with $$$, Dollars and Cardwell are going to be ok. There are still RBs available in portal and HS. Either way it's it big thumbs up for TD. He gave his all for 4yrs and will always be known as one of the best to play for the Ducks. He's made the most with the least and he's proven to be a great young man that should succeed at anything he wants to.

He's got 4 points for the PAC to do once it's determined that expansion won't happen until 2025/26. These will enhance our ability to to make 4 team PO. #1 Eliminate the divisions. This allows 2 best teams with best records to play for the championship game. #2 tweaking the schedule. Moving to 8 league games. To do this it will not be before 23 and hinges on B1G agreement to play us for 9th games. Only way TV would agree to change. #3 NIL legislation. PAC is at major disadvantage at without control it will only get worse. #4 Schools ability to borrow money now against the increase of money coming from new TV contracts and or playoff expansion. Money to be used to get better coaches, better facilities etc.

He's back in the flock

I believe the injuries were the biggest factor in the weirdness of how last year played out. We lost over 10 starters to season ending injuries. It was to much to overcome. I doubt if any team could have. Look at Alabama with just missing some WR last night. Not good.

I think we could be having unreasonable fears. As with every change your going to have some negative impacts. But you also will find positives. There are many different ways to do things. Let's hope we have men with integrity who will lead by example and produce a worthwhile product we will be proud of. Nothing is perfect nor will it ever be. I'm not expecting perfection but I also don't let fears stop me. CFB is an institution. While the change is here it just needs some tweaking and it will survive. Go Ducks Fly High

Agreed in fact it will be a greater accomplishment to do it without the money. I believe there are great athletes who want to not just get money. They want to earn their right to be on the team. They know of the importance of creating a mentor for getting through life. I still believe the personal relationship with the coach/rd is extremely important. They will still have opportunities for the NIL. In fact with KT leading the way we show it how it's done the right way not just talk about it. Let's see how it goes. If in 4 yrs we don't have a trophy then we do what everybody else is doing.
