  1. None bigger than Cyrus Moss. He says he will sign on Dec. 17, this Friday, but is waiting until Jan.8 at The All-American Bowl.to announce his decision. His Final 5 are: Oregon, USC, ASU, Alabama and Miami.
  2. Could it be that Frost has a hard time recruiting to Anywhere? Moving on, great job by Lanning so far.
  3. Yep, and it's down to Oregon or Arizona for WR, Tetairoa McMillan. He is expected to announce Thursday or Friday.
  4. You're right in the sense that as strong as Georgia is, having Alabama in the same conference hurts them. But having a stronger conference has to help overall. The Pac-12, rightly is considered weak, "Pac-12 After Dark" is not only when the games are on, but an apt metaphor for their standing in college football. As the discussion that JJ and I had earlier in this thread, and so many times before, the Pac-12 remaining status quo is incomprehensible. Oregon and USC are the only teams with a chance to become consistent Playoff contenders, so I feel that improvement for either is helpful.
  5. The Pac-12 is in horrible shape. Until last year, Clemson was good enough to get in from the ACC. But te SEC has rigged the system by having 5 or 6 teams contending from Day 1. Either Oregon or USC will have to be near perfect to get a look at the Playoff, when the SEC, and B1G will have 12 teams fighting for a spot, throw in Notre Dame and Cincy. This time, after Oregon beats Georgia, don't lose to Stanford.
  6. True, though the NCAA has been antiquated for a long, long time. At best it hands down rulings that decimated SMU years back, and the Reggie Bush violations which knocked SC's recruiting back, took Bush's Heisman Trophy, but accomplished nothing about actually getting recruiting cleaned up, and of course the crowning example of how useless the NCAA is, was the North Carolina Academic Scandal where the NCAA said it lacked jurisdiction. in a matter of whether basketball players actually received passing grades in classes they never attended.
  7. Mycah is gone, would have been nice if he had stayed to finish the season. It seems now that Mario also left before the season was over.
  8. Great article, Joshua. Let's hope that Lanning is smarter than Smart when it comes to offense. They were both on the sideline as Alabama made their historic defense look silly. Lanning mentioned "explosion plays" in his Presser. Those have been in Saban's arsenal since he switched to Tagovailoa at halftime, against Georgia and won the championship with a walkoff touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith. Alabama won championship's with Game Managers like Greg McElvoy, this year, their QB, Bryce Young won the Heisman Trophy. Thompson or Butterfield might not be Bryce Young. But it seems like Lanning is going to be smart enough to let the Ducks QB air it out to the talented WR Corps Oregon has assembled.
  9. Rob Blair, one of the founders of Horns With Heart, said his organization doesn’t cross any lines. “Pay for play is a deal breaker under NIL,” Blair said. “This isn’t pay for play. This is for actual charitable work.” Of course it is.
  10. He's from Utah, and he didn't want to be a Ute. If the DC of that Georgia defense, now being the HC at Oregon isn't enough to keep him, then good luck at Nebraska, The Cornhuskers will be going for that big 5 win season under Frost in 2022.
  11. Hard to say what would constitute "Negative Recruiting" to a Husky, pointing out to a recruit that UW has 128 losses since 2000 is pretty negative.
  12. The Huskies' crowning achievement , this century, was running up the score on Oregon's worst team in decades. Since then, the Husk's are 1-3 against Oregon,. UW needs an appointment with the Dr.
