  1. Take out the Go5 games, it's still ND, 3 to 1. As the saying goes, "Everything is BIGGER in Texas, and the Committee is going to tell us that "Texas is Baaack" whether they are or not. Every week Cowherd tells us that Texas has the most talented roster. Saban spent the whole GameDay diagraming the plays that Texas would run all over Georgia with. Cowherd also says to "take Wisky & the points."
  2. Absolutely, that's what ugly wins are for. The Maryland game was a break, with some plays to break up the monotony of 7 games in a row. It was like hooking the surfboard to the back of the aircraft carrier in the 5th month of a West-Pac deployment.
  3. I'll disagree about the schedule strength. Notre Dame has played 6 teams with winning records, A & M, NIU, Miami of Ohio, Louisville, Ga. Tech & Navy. Indiana has played 1, Nebraska.
  4. “I can tell you very easily, I would not play for Lincoln Riley,” Paul Finebaum Says He Would Not Play For USC Trojans Coach Lincoln Riley WWW.SI.COM The USC Trojans are 4-5 with three games to go. This is USC coach Lincoln Riley’s third year with the program, and he has yet...
  5. Eight SEC teams could finish with 2 losses, 90% of SEC fans would have no problem having all of them in the Playoff. [And the other 10% would be drawn and quartered by executioner Pawalll. 😁]
  6. The "NFL-Lite" comparison is derogatory to a lot of fans who want to stay separate from the pro's. But with NIL and the portal it's getting close. The Playoff's work fine in the NFL because there is uniformity, alas that will never exist in college. We're stuck.
  7. I believe you forgot that Wisconsin is also UW....as it was confusing to me as well There shouldn't be two of them in the same conference.
  8. Of course it's Cowherd. Each hour of his show, a very slow Thursday. he brings up the "story" about the NFL being a possibility for Lanning, as if the "story" was the culmination of research, not that it's the wish of some writer with an Ohio background.
  9. I'bve never been a 49er fan, but good on Lenoir!
  10. This Brian Jones says, "Ducks all the way, Mate!"
  11. SUC is having a garage sale on recruits, just hit with a violation, is being upstaged by the basketball school across town, are stuck with a $80-90M buyout for Riley. Now it makes sense to not have names on the back of the jerseys, and Snoop Dogg isn't coming to the games anymore.
  12. The Ducks have yet to lose this year and have been at the top of the first two sets of College Football Playoff rankings. To make this matchup favor Oregon even more, Wisconsin has lost two games in a row and just fell to Iowa by 32 in Week 10 before a much-needed bye in Week 11. However, CBS college football analyst Brian Jones is rolling with Wisconsin to upset Oregon on Saturday. "Wisconsin over Oregon," Jones said with a smirk on his face.
  13. From Athlon This summer he told another ESPN reporter, Paolo Uggetti, "I feel like I have the things necessary here to win. So how much money does a person need to make? What do you really need in your life? For me, I want to be in a place where I can win championships. I feel like we're close to that here. And then there is a level of loyalty to people that gave you an opportunity. Why should anybody ever trust me again if I, if I do leave here for something else?"
  14. Michigan has gone all in, in hopes of landing five-star signal caller Bryce Underwood. The Belleville product is an LSU commit but that's not stopping the Wolverines from doing all they can to keep him in the state of Michigan for three-to-four more years. First, it was 'Michigan is offering $5 million' to Underwood. Then $5 million turned more into $10 million, but it appears the Wolverines have upped the ante in hopes of swaying Underwood to come to Ann Arbor. According to On3's The Wolverine, Michigan is prepared to offer Underwood a $10.5 million deal over four years.
  15. Darn, it's rough up there in Husky land. Go, Bruins, Go, Dawgs!!!
  16. That uniform is really exciting.
  17. Which is more impressive, going 7-2 against the No.1 ranked schedule, or 10-0 against the No.100 schedule. What the committee knows, and what should not at all be obvious in these presentations, is that Indiana v. Ohio State simply becomes that much bigger if both teams enter with top-5 rankings.
  18. I'm guilty. When I come up with my score for the prediction contest it has the Ducks covering the spread, For some reason that's important to me. It shouldn't be, and after all these weeks I should get it that Lanning couldn't care less about the spread either. (Michigan fans might feel otherwise, but who cares.) The point is, Oregon is winning, just like when the Oregon teams used to be ahead, 21-0 in the 1st quarter the game is over. Jordan James isn't going to break off a 60 yard run, but 60 in 8 plays is just fine to me. This year's team has me more excited about Ducks football than I've ever been. Ohio State @ Oregon was one of the most exciting games in college football this season. Neither team scored 40. Points doesn't equal excitement to me. Getting the key first down, stopping the other team on 3rd down. A sack, tackle for loss, all those make a game exciting. Tulane is averaging more points per game than Oregon is.
  19. The SEC often had half of the 4 team format, they're having trouble seeing why it isn't the same with 12.
  20. It is telling that Prime and Colorado get a lot more coverage than undefeated Indiana and Cignetti.
  21. Tennessee gets concerning Nico Iamaleava injury update for Georgia clash CLUTCHPOINTS.COM Tennessee takes on Georgia on Saturday night, and quarterback Nico Iamaleava is still working his way back from injury.
  22. The upside in this "fill in the blank" with a coach article is that wasn't a quote from Finebaum and still more proof of how great Danno is doing at Oregon.
