  1. I remember Lonnie Shelton well from his playing days, he was big and fast and could shoot, couldn't stand him!
  2. Some things just make sense and having the two best teams play for the conference championship is one of them.
  3. The only difference between USC and Washington and "delusion" is a big one! USC actually is a Winner, a Blue Blood. They've been down. The problem now is that they and Mark Sanchez and Colin Cowherd, feel like they're back on top already. The Trojans have to wait a while before Riley can say this:
  4. I have no ego. We know that about him from his time at Oregon. The article mentions Tannehill and his attitude about mentoring Malik Willis. Remember Aaron Rodgers didn't like it when Green Bay even drafted Jordan Love? Ducks in the NFL: Marcus Mariota willing to mentor in Atlanta DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM “I have no ego.” Former Oregon QB Marcus Mariota is willing to be a mentor for rookie Desmond Ridder in Atlanta this season.
  5. Yes, I think it's better that Oregon plays them in the first game and not the second, where it's said the biggest step up is found. The intangibles are all there for both teams, let's get Georgia before they can work on their tangibles.
  6. Riley at SC has taken the cork off the Hollywooding of College football. Riley says he hasn't taken any players from the portal, Narduzzi and Sooner fans may disagree. the details of his mansion and Cowherd's crooning aren't his fault, but Riley is the Black Hat now. In one of the articles, it said that Klovis came to Pitt because he liked the system, and it would be great if Addison was there to be a part of it. If he doesn't, the inference is that USC is offering more. The article also stated that NIL aside, Addison is looking for the program that would best prepare him for the NFL. It would be a hoot if after all this Addison and Young end up together at Alabama.
  7. Call it the Turf Division and it could work.
  8. It seems like it has been a long time since Oregon had a D schemed against TE's, and as great as DL is on defense, he only defended against Georgia's TE in practice, cue Alan Iverson. If somehow Stetson resembled game manager Hogan from Stanford, that would be great.
  9. Great title, Jon, and I'm with you on hoping that next is the last season with divisions. The North has dominated the South and too many times Oregon and Stanford were the best teams but one of them had to be replaced by the sacrificial lamb from the South. This season we see that somehow UW avoids USC and Utah. If that doesn't call for a change in the schedule mechanics nothing will.
  10. Not bad. Won't be enough, still have them and Cal fighting for fourth in the North.
  11. Her WNBA career has gotten off to a rocky start, primarily due to injuries. Give Sabrina a season to play and she'll have the Liberty competing for the championship.
  12. A lot is seeming to be made of the Utes' destruction of the Ducks in their two games at the end of last season, while as you note, much will be different about both teams this season, not to mention that last season the Ducks beat the team that beat the Utes in the Rose Bowl.
  13. No.6 is Utah, Oregon is No. 14 and rounding out the trifecta is UCLA at No.22. BYU comes in at No.9. Oregon Football: Ducks ranked prominently in USA TODAY top-25 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Dan Lanning and the Ducks are ranked prominently in USA TODAY Sports’ latest top-25. The Trojans, on the other hand…
  14. They definitely make the Cougar-Cougar hit mope challenging for the Ducks, Ward looks like he will keep the QB line at WSU going/ North Oregon WSU Stanford OSU UW Cal Can the Beavs find a RB? Or Stanford?
  15. ASU DL Transfer Jermayne Lole Sets Oregon Visit - On3 WWW.ON3.COM Arizona State defensive line transfer Jermayne Lole has four official visits set including a stop at Oregon in June.
  16. Arnold, the pig from Green Acres was invited to Corvallis to receive the key to the city. He has yet to respond to the invitation.
  17. One could get the feeling that Pitt Coach, Pat Narduzzi doesn't like Lincoln Riley very much. Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi praises Kedon Slovis using transfer portal 'the right way' amid Jordan Addison saga - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Slovis transferred to Pitt this offseason after three seasons at USC
  18. Who knows? The change of coasts may make all the difference in how Cristobal coaches. From a Pelican to a Duck, back to a Pelican. Both are vowels, but O and U have never really liked each other. This could be a brand new football coach.
  19. BYE will also be good next season.
  20. After last season it makes total sense that DJU would be pressed to keep the starting role in 2022.
  21. Checking the roster, I found a FR. with the mundane name of Billy Wiles, but a Soph, named Taisun Phommachanh could challenge D.J. Uiagalelei.
