  3. No slight to KenPom but his odds for winning games, the tournament go right along with the standings, so not really seeing much from his analysis.
  4. It's a small chance but it's better than ASU, Stanford, Utah, Washington, WSU or Oregon State have. 7. Not breaking any news here, but the farther KT falls in the draft the better for his career. Let Jacksonville make somebody else a misbegotten No.1, and Detroit has done enough damage to Ducks, they can have Hutchinson from Michigan, The Giants have two picks, 5 and 7, KT would like the Big Apple, and tbe Giants could be competitive next season. Of course, maybe the WORD is out on KT so strong that he falls completely out of the top 10 and finds himself on a good team.
  8. Fun to think what Justin could have done at Oregon had either of those been his coach.
  9. I completely understand and appreciate what you said, and Walton certainly does draw attention to himself. But somehow with him, it doesn't bother me during a game he's doing. In contrast to Bill, I offer fellow Bruin, Don MacLean. MacLean is very adept at telling us what happened, "He can make that shot" and what needs to happen, "Time is running out, (team) is behind and can't keep trading baskets, they need to get some stops." How and why? 'They scored more points and won the game,"
  10. Including bases loaded in the 8th. Ouch.
  11. It was indeed, and UCLA won the championship 3 years in a row with him anyway.
  12. Thanks for finding this, Annie. Any chance to go back to 1994 and "Gang Green" is welcomed. That was quite a game for Schmidt against ASU. If Lanning and his D can match and maybe even surpass that defense, we will all be thrilled.
  13. Mudslide, thanks very much for that breakdown and analysis, I'm in agreement that more than "working harder" is, was needed for this team. They won some big games, but more often lost, were blown out in games where they showed little resistance. There didn't ever seem to be an adjustment in game or overall. They were embarrassed by BYU and beat UCLA twice. In the same weekend they take No.3 Arizona to the end, then lose for the second time to ASU. But the way they played, schemed didn't appear to be different in either game. There was a common cry about the Ducks Final 4 team, "Who's the Alpha?" Dillon Brooks, Dylan Ennis. Tyler Dorsey? They all were capable, and each hit big shots. In his senior year, Pritchard did carry the load, last season Duarte' and Omoruyi were both big shot ready. This season the Ducks don't have the big shot player
  14. Oregon uncertain about Will Richardson’s ability for Pac-12 tournament DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Will Richardson missed the regular-season finale on Sunday after “not feeling well,” and is currently up in the air to play this week in...
  15. Fortunately, what helps us get through the interminable off season are all these questions to ponder. None of which can be answered now. Lanning has all the qualities of a top head coach, and his assistants are all talented and experienced and appear to be united in bringing the championship to Oregon. 2. I'm going to say we actually can answer this question. Lanning and Dillingham will not be a repeat of Cristobal and whoever the OC was. A new roster of talent, especially a top line O Line is ready to bring excitement back to the O. 3. I am nothing but Optimistic about the opening season of the Dan Lanning D at Oregon. 4. The schedule is truly daunting. But the only game that I will assign an L to now is the first one. This is not to say that I will throw my arms up in disgust if the Ducks lose any of the others, but I am 3/4 glass full at the moment. 5. A win / win in the QB room. An experienced SEC QB, with experience with the OC in Nix, or a talented Thompson or Butterfield that outplayed him and earned the start.
  16. This truly an Odd Duck of a basketball team. Between the embarrassing loss to BYU and the sweep of UCLA, to the W in Colorado and the L to Colorado at home. They nearly sweep USC but lose twice to ASU. It makes no sense.
