  1. Absolutely agree. "March Madness" is, has, always been my favorite sports time of the year, with Oregon involved or not. Many times, the Ducks have been there, so even better. The regular season of college basketball is great, the Bracketologist's start week 1. Sure, there are a group of teams always at the top. But they aren't always the same every year in the Final Four like in the CFP. Also, unlike football, there aren't a bunch of other games that nobody cares about before the championship starts. As soon as the conference season ends, the conference tournaments start, and then "March Madness" begins! I don't care who's playing, I can watch every game, and with the way they're scheduled on four different networks, you actually can watch almost every game!
  2. Very good, he and Allen are quality targets for Herbert.
  3. With Colorado playing it's first game tomorrow against the Ducks, it's good that the Ducks didn't have to expend a lot of energy in this one, opposed to Stanford who had to work a lot in their comeback win over ASU, and play No.1 Arizona tomorrow.
  4. And yes, according to Don MacLean, "This game isn't over yet"
  5. Thanks for this, good stuff!
  6. I believe that post-season wins do count.
  7. Stanford beats ASU, 71-70 in come from behind thriller. ASU led by 4 at halftime, by 10 with 7:47 left. But a 16-1 run by the Cardinal send Bobby Hurley and ASU home.
  8. There is a distinction between Husky fans and Seahawks fans, notably, I'm a Seahawks fan. Not as much recently, hello, Justin's a Charger! But I have a lot of great Seahawks memories, saw a lot of games in the 80's, Steve Largent, Kenny Easley, and of course the Mariners back in the Kingdome days. Ken Griffey Jr. Edgar Martinez. If Baseball can get played this season the Mariners will be good.
  9. I feel that a benefit of having all these top recruits together is "group mentality". They're all there together hearing the coaches, touring the No.1 facilities and Hayward Field together. That bonding can be huge.
  10. Trail Blazers fans cheered for former Husky Brandon Roy, how about Seahawks fans cheering for Marcus Mariota? Could the Seahawks pursue Marcus Mariota after trading Russell Wilson? DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Former Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota is a free agent, and the Seattle Seahawks could be suitors after dealing superstar...
  11. Todd McShade has just announced who will be named next season's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year! NFL Mock Draft: Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux is starting to fall DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Kayvon Thibodeaux apparently didn’t impress enough at the NFL combine to keep his standing near the top of the draft, according...
  12. For a while under White the Softball team was like WBB, ruled the Pac-12; both are the most competitive conferences in the country. Now, Oregon has dropped a bit. But Graves will have the basketball team back on top soon enough and I am equally confident that Lombardi will do the same with the softball team. Congrats to Vallery, and she won't be the last.
  13. Since 1969 when I spent my first summer waiting for football to start in the fall, I haven't been this excited, (no Pointer Sisters this time) for football season to start. So far Lanning hasn't made a mistake yet. Doesn't mean he's perfect, but I'm fine with 99.7%
  14. The Ducks Must Win the tournament to get to the NCAA's Dana Altman opens up on the loss of Will Richardson, facing Oregon State in opening round of Pac-12 Tournament 247SPORTS.COM Inside the hallways of the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Oregon head coach Dana Altman previewed the Ducks' upcoming game...
  15. Thanks. I definitely remember the "smell of Mac Court!"
  16. This was not a losing season, and I would not want to make a knee-jerk mistake. Couldn't agree more. As Bill W says, Dana Altman should be in the hall of the fame! His string of 20 win seasons is in jeopardy, but that doesn't get a coach fired under any circumstance, particularly with the recruits coming next season.
  17. Pac-12 Men's Basketball Bracket SPORTSPAC12.COM Arizona, UCLA, USC, and Colorado earn the four First-Round byes in the Pac-12 Tournament.
