Wow-Wow-WOW! A GREAT New Feature That Everyone Will LOVE!
30Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks

The thought going into the OH.ST. game last season was that the Ducks didn't really have a chance. It appears that the Buckeyes also had that opinion and the combination of that and some inspired play by the Ducks got them the W. In this game, I don't think the Ducks are likely to win either, but unlike the Buckeyes, the Bulldogs will be focused on beating the Ducks. Lanning will have his team fired up, and Georgia, who has shown nothing but respect towards Lanning and Oregon, would love nothing more than smashing the Ducks to start their season.

Phil Steele's 2022 Projected AP Preseason Top 10
30Duck replied to Annie's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I have to agree with this. With so much about Oregon untested it's hard to see how Steele projects a top 10 for Oregon. Steele of course predicted that Washington would be the "surprise" team last season. -
Huskies Can Spin Stories Like NOBODY ELSE
30Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Explaining what a Husky Honk means would entail an Indiana Jones type search. and too much interaction with a Husky Honk will leave a normal person in a very bad condition. -
Cartm25 you nailed the situation perfectly, especially to me, that The Punch brought about LMJ, and thanks very much for the highlight video!

When this Big 3 gets it going, with help from Parrish, Prince and Scheer, they can win games. They aren't the Big 3 that preceded them, but then nor is any other Big 3 on any other team.

Thank you Balmer's. But that won't make me a Clippers fan.

What is hopeful for the Chargers and should be scary for the rest of the NFL is that the Chargers can improve their rushing defense next season; and as great as Justin has played his first two seasons, he can play better still.

Last night in a make up game played in Corvallis before the Ducks and Beavers head to Washington and WSU to end the regular season, the Beavers led the Cougars for most of the game, up 11 at halftime, led by 5 with 4:21 left in the 2nd half, but ultimately lost in OT, 103-97.

80 Plays Per Game is More Than an Offensive Goal
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
80 plays is a nice signpost. But what I like more from what I've heard from Dillingham is that he wants to see "explosive" plays, which would cut down the total number. Dillingham's plan sounds like it will produce an offense that will bring the excitement level back and coupled with the defense we expect, Oregon will be "must see" again. -

Ducks Shutout SJU 6-0, Win 5th Straight Game

In the stands right behind home plate are two SJU fans. Do they live in Eugene and came out to support their school, or did they travel across the country to watch their baseball team? -
Yeah, there'll never be another Matt Cassell' hardly played at USC, he was drafted though and played 14 years in the NFL.
-
It did take USC 2 OT to beat the Beavers before playing the Ducks.

True, and bottom line. But even if the finances weren't an issue, I believe that a struggling, and this team is beyond that, is regarded at OS differently than it would be at Oregon.
-
This does show the stark difference between the two programs, and Beaver Nation and Oregon fans. First, I don't see a Ducks basketball team ever losing 24 games in a season, this is a bad season at Oregon. Even with that happening at OS, I don't think Coach Tinkle's seat is even warm.

Nothing shows this better than in the NBA Finals when Michael Jordan led the Bulls over the Portland Trail Blazers. Jordan is a rare mix of competitive fire, Jordan definitely believed that no team was going to beat the Bulls, and 2 three year championship runs, never playing a Game 7, backed that up. Jordan, along with talent was also a text book on fundamentals. "Clyde the Glyde was exciting, a hall of fame player for sure, but fundamentals were not his thing. However the exquisitely disciplined Trail Blazers of 1977 beat the talent laden 76ers for the championship in 1977.
