A lot of perspectives here, Hayward. I'd say we're in the Honeymoon rather than the Courtship phase because Lanning has been hired, the job is his. The games haven't been played yet, but there is no off time for a coach of a winning program and Lanning has definitely been taking care of business.

Conerly Decision Boosts Ducks Cachet with Elite RB
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I hope it isn't snowing on the Spring Game. Getting the No.1 OL should definitely bring a smile to the face of RB Richard Young about Oregon as he goes through his selection process. -
We definitely know this. Chip had a scheme, Mario had a scheme, Lanning and Dillingham look to have a scheme, and a "fun" one, for the players and the fans. Without the name on the jersey now, I won't even know it's Dye if I see the Trojans play next season.

I agree completely with your roster design, Graziani93. Oregon has more than enough Bigs and each can use minutes to improve. Ware is the new guy. The Ducks need, like you said, fast, aggressive mid-size players that can take the ball to the basket, shoot, and make free throws!

Josh Conerly and the Realities of Recruiting
30Duck replied to Kurt Rambis's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The interesting, and I'll put a positive spin on it, is that unlike at A & M, Texas, Tennessee, to name a few, nothing NIL about Conerly and Oregon was released. This was a big splash and Oregon went with subtlety. -
It seems to me, now, that Riley fits perfectly at USC and Lanning, the same at Oregon, switching them seems like it would be a mess.

His stats don't jump off the page, but Big Franck definitely left big shoes to fill when he entered the Transfer Portal. Might be able to find a replacement in the same size, but not the same style. 5 big men the Oregon Ducks should pursue in the NCAA transfer portal DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks could use a fourth big man to replace Franck Kepnang. Here are five names in the NCAA transfer portal who...

Coach Lombardi is in the situation that no coach ever wants to be in. In the game on Saturday Oregon led ASU 4-0. But ASU scored 6 runs in the 6th inning, aided by some costly errors by the No.1 ranked defense in the conference. Now Lombardi has to take the team on the road to Arizona, Softball, like basketball, is incredibly tough in the Pac-12, this season can still be very good for Oregon. But they need to get some wins. Josh Conerly and the Realities of Recruiting
30Duck replied to Kurt Rambis's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Kurt Rambis, I should read the article, but I can't imagine that it says anything better than what you wrote, It doesn't matter what the recruiting environment is, UW & USC fans will never believe that any player would actually pick Oregon over their schools. -

Lanning--'A Juice...And Excitement About Oregon Football'
30Duck replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
That was definitely fun to read! While Riley was watching The Masters, Lanning was bringing in Conerly. -
I could not get past this in the story: Kelen DeBoer and his staff have laid out a detailed diagram for the UW players to succeed, both in football and in school. Those who follow it are told to expect rewards. Those who don't will be weeded out. And slapped on their nose with a newspaper! 3 Huskies Poised to Become Starters Who Haven't Been WWW.SI.COM These UW players have run with their respective No. 1 units since spring practice began.

And this hits UW where it hurts, I think it was a good change for me. I think it'll benefit me in the long run. So, the last two biggest wins for the Ducks have been beating the Buckeyes at the 'Shoe and getting Conerly. Before each of those happened, NO Ducks fan thought Oregon had a chance. But the Ducks did beat the Buck-eyes, and Connerly picked the Ducks. Can somebody figure out how to tack Conerly's announcement to the end of "The Pick" video when the Dogs are in Autzen this season?

Ducks get to 20 wins, and beat the Cardinals, 10–4!
30Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Umpire, would you say your strike zone was consistent through the game? "I certainly would." Could you give us an idea of what it was? "That's classified." "I see. "See what?" "What your strike zone was during the game. "What was it?" I don't know, "That's right. Keep'em guessing I always say." Thank you, Umpire. -
Yeah, I think he'll play. I don't know if the "80 plays a game" will happen, but however many it is, OL rotation will be necessary,
