  1. Soon, Cristobal won't be able to prevent the offense, unless he simply doesn't want to score. The WR corps that Oregon will have in 2021 is unlike any the team has ever had. Getting the RB's up to the same level is still a work in progress, but they will come.
  2. The head coach wouldn't let the OC run the offense the way he wanted to. Sound familiar?
  3. The Ducks’ junior guard, Taylor Mikesell, has been a strong competitor since day one.
  4. These, "Way Too Early Polls" are all about perception, What level of recognition a team has built is what gets them in a poll like this. ESPN, in this case, believes that Oregon will have a competitive team, their past success shows that.
  5. Bow Down, and stay, Washington! What a great tweet. The arrogance in Washington has devolved in to white noise as their programs become irrelevant. That Oregon has supplanted them, not only in the Pac-12, but nationally, and Washington never had a National Brand, makes it all the more unbearable for them.
  6. Justin Herbert’s rise to prominence in the football world feels like a sports movie script:
  7. That's it. The SEC has 3 or 4 top teams too, but they get in the Playoffs and win championships. The B1G is pretty much Ohio State, ACC is Clemson & Notre Dame. The Big 12 & Pac-12 need to win Playoff games to be taken seriously.
  8. Arnett took the defensive coordinator position on Mike Leach's staff in Starkville last winter, after previously accepting the same position at Syracuse, but only working for the Orange for 11 days.
  9. Great post! I was trying to remember Antonio Gates.
  10. Jordan (Kent) began playing football when he was a junior in college at the University of Oregon. While at the University of Oregon, Jordan also played Basketball and ran Track for the Oregon Ducks. And now he does play-play for the Blazers.
  11. Altman said it wasn't related to COVID-19 as the team tested him twice and both tests came back negative.
  12. After the Fiesta Bowl, all Ducks fans are asking the same question?
  13. All of that, just remember the RB's we have had, James, Barner, Freeman, Droughns, McCullough, Smith, Morris. Have to start getting that quality again.
  14. Again, we look to Alabama now for offensive strategies! I'm remembering now that the Ducks were there to the end with Najee Harris, from Antioch High School, in the East San Francisco Bay Area, until he chose Alabama. Saban definitely knew how to use him.
  15. Very true, we don't need another CHL, just a starting point in evaluating.
  16. I noticed some RB's with size and no transfer prediction: Antuan Branch, 6'0, 230, UNC Jamari Peacock, 6'1, 220, UVA Gilberto Torres, 5'11, 225, UMASS
  17. If he wants to play baseball, he'd be a great DH.
  18. Offering him the opportunity to play basketball, and TE, seem enticing to him as well as both teams. He and Thibs on the line together would give OC's nightmares, Mario has achieved great success in recruiting, unlike anything at Oregon before, landing Tuimoloau would take it even higher.
  19. It will be a lot harder for the Women, just because the competition is so much better, though the way Oregon competed, while Graves was still experimenting with player rotation, against UCLA & Stanford, certainly makes it look possible. The Men started conference play with a close win over last place Washington, and of course lost in Colorado. There were parts of the other games when the Ducks weren't playing well, but they finished strong. This weekend the Ducks are at Arizona & ASU, the Wildcats & Sun Devils both coming off being swept by the LA schools. They will go a long way towards winning their half of the conference by keeping those losing streaks going.
