  1. One of the best sports announcing moments ever!
  2. He's my hope too. Can the hometown ties to Oregon and the Pac-12 tear him away from Alabama? A challenge can be compelling to people and that will clearly be the case with resuscitating the Pac-12.
  3. Utah is a very good illustration of what recruiting means. The Utes have been a tough team, since before they joined the Pac-10, and with Colorado, made it the Pac-12. They have a good record, but this ranking of 37, is probably close to their average, and that won't win championships.
  4. Will Richardson is still out with a broken thumb, Chris Duarte and LJ Figueroa will miss the game due to Covid 19 protocols. What will the Ducks do?
  5. Las Vegas is where the Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments ae held, so it does have a connection to the conference.
  6. Justin and DeForest keep winning awards!
  7. The fact that Todd McShay and these other "experts" are being paid to dispense their "knowledge" is ridiculous. They have no accountability, Allen, Herbert. As the draft approaches we are bombarded with Mock Draft 1, then Mock Draft 2, Mock Draft 3. They can't even keep their deluge of jabber straight.
  8. Whoever it is, they won't have the problem of following a legend. But the new Commissioner has to lead the Pac-12 back to relevance.
  9. The "Playoff" has to go, it has put a premium on winning the championship but only a select few teams, selected by, "The Committee", get a chance. So entrenched in this way of doing things, Bill Hancock, Executive Director Of The College Football Playoff, didn't see any reason to change anything this last season, a season that was anything but normal. The good thing is, football fans outside of Tuscaloosa, Columbus, Clemson, don't have to take it anymore. The NCAA doesn't run , "The Playoff", Bill Hancock, ESPN and its contracted conferences do. But the NCAA does run the Playoffs for Division 2 football, and those schools and their fans love it. So, why can't the NCAA take over the playoffs for Division 1 and run it the same way for Division 2? I'm sure the answer comes down to money. The NCAA can't decide tomorrow to start their own Playoff. But I don't think that the "Invitational" is ever going to do anything that doesn't serve the needs of ESPN's chosen few first. Back in the 1930's, the NIT was the big thing in college basketball. But, in 1939, the NCAA started its own tournament, and crowned its first champion, the Oregon Webfoots , winners of the first championship game over Ohio State. Things have changed. The NIT now doesn't mean as much as does the Idaho Potato Bowl. The same thing can happen for Division 2 football. When the contracts come up in 2024, the NCAA has a decision to make. Does it continue to finance the Beauty Pageant masquerading as a Playoff? Or does it decide to run Division 1 football with as much care and consideration as it does Division 2?
  10. So, tonight, the Celtics were leading the 76ers, 103-102 with about 5 minutes left. Payton had played the entire 4th quarter, until Walker came in for him. The 76ers went on to outscore the Celtics 15-6. Payton was put back in with :12 seconds left, but it was too late, 76ers win, 117-109.
  11. "Touchdown, Reuben Droughns" is stuck in my head and hope it never leaves. Saladine McCullough started off one season by running back the opening kickoff. Onterio Smith, Maurice Morris. Those guys were great! Than we have LaMichael James, Kenjon Barner, Royce Freeman. Thomas Tyner's spin move is one of the best plays any Duck ever had.
  12. KT's GPA was "only" 3.8, Oregon is not only getting talented football players, but they excelled in the classrooms as well.
  13. It will be more than a week since they lost to Arizona, Coach Graves is confident about where the team is. "We aren’t excited with where we’ve been. You take a hit and it kind of rocks you for a second. You have to regroup and fight your way through it."
  14. Right now the Chargers have 1 quarterback in the Hall Of Fame, he played at Oregon: In around 20 years, they'll have another one:
  15. He's retiring, after playing his final season as an Indianapolis Colt. But if he gets in it will be as a Charger. The Hall's of Fame have all gone a bit wonky as far as I'm concerned, baseball in particular. Rivers is an interesting case.
  16. I'm not alone I'm sure in really not liking the, "good loss". But, if ever a loss could have some value it would be the one the Ducks just experienced at Arizona. Nyara is having a great season, hopefully Sedona can stay healthy the rest of the season, and Taylor can continue to be one of the best players offensively and defensively.
  17. It looks like he would be a great addition to the Ducks, the Red Raiders are having a great season, No.12, 11-4.
  18. It would be interesting to see a Cal coach switch to Oregon for a change.
