  1. That is exactly, and only how the NCAA, led by former Husky, Mark Emmert, operates now days. Instead of evolving to meet the realities of today's Collège sports, it holds tight to infractions like this. It's major call to action is recruiting, which has remained mired in controversy for decades.
  2. Nailed it. Even if Graves's plan is to tighten the rotation, your post shows how, with the depth this team has, there are so many variations available.
  3. As long as the Ducks can stay off the slide, they'll be okay:
  4. It's looking like 2021 will be a great season for both of the bats and balls Ducks teams. Baseball had developed a state of apathy around it and the new coach and new spirit is going to bring enthusiasm back. How many here remember, Mel Krause?
  5. NogerO, thanks a lot for finally watching the game, and then pointing out so many things that took place during it, including this about the reaction to the press. This above all shows the difference between this team and last season's when teams didn't dare use the press, as it would have been met with exactly what you indicated. I'm pretty sure you aren't alone in having that reaction, imagine what it would have been like had there been a packed house of Arizona fans in attendance? Ref's get caught up in the game, they favor the more aggressive, that clearly was Arizona in this game. I remember specifically an Oregon player being called for blocking when she appeared to have been set perfectly, only to see a Duck be called for charging later under the same circumstances, that was maddening, along with the touch calls. After all this I agree with you when you say to just burn this tape.
  6. The last football season didn't end the way anybody wanted it to, certainly not head coach, Mario Cristobal. But good things come to those who wait, and it's not going to take much longer.
  7. Oregon was able to play five of its six scheduled regular season games. The only game that was canceled was when Washington couldn't come down to Autzen for their only game on the road that season!
  8. I certainly didn't see the game at Arizona coming,, after their blowout of Cal, 100-41, the Ducks only tallied 41 against the Wildcats. The 57 they held the Wildcats to, would usually mean a win. So. even from their worst game in recent memory, some positives can be found, the defense was still good. It also prompted Coach Graves to tighten up the rotation, you can read about that more here. Going into the season, Stanford, UCLA and Arizona would all be picked to finish above the Ducks because of their talent and experience. WSU, with only 1 loss so far, is a big surprise, but only shows even more how good Women's basketball is in the Pac-12
  9. With Justin at quarterback, the new coach is walking in to a great situation. Who do you think it should be?
  10. Two season's ago, Oregon had the most experienced OL in the country. Last season it was brand new. How did they do? What about next season?
  11. It sure looks like everybody is doing a great job with their proofreading, and it's really appreciated. Of course there will be slipups, .
  12. “I think the time has come for me to really tighten the rotation," he suggested. "And say ‘this is what we’re going with and if you’re not in the rotation, work harder and find a way to contribute’'.
  13. Until he's eliminated, I'm leaning towards Cristobal and Lupoi reuniting, the "discipline" that Woody would bring from Army is intriguing.
  14. It has always baffled me. It really seems, with any work at all a player should be at 70% on free throws. Rick Barry finished his NBA career with a 90% average. In part he believes because he found that shooting them underhanded gave him more control, and he was able to repeat the motion easier, so much he could do it with his eyes closed.
  15. “In a normal year, bracketing is done with consideration given to keeping as many teams as close to their campus as possible, reducing team travel and providing as many fans as possible an opportunity to watch their favorite teams participate in The Big Dance. But this year only, with the entire tournament being played in Indiana, the committee believes this different approach is optimal.” The change is just the reorganization of the brackets necessitated by all the games being played in Indiana.
  16. It seems for the first time this season really, we saw what can happen to a team so young and still trying to get its footing. Its also the case that no other team in the conference feels sorry for the Ducks. I can't remember what the time frame it was, but Arizona hadn't beaten Oregon in a long time.
  17. Thanks a lot for posting that, ICamel. It will be great to get the new era of Oregon baseball, under Coach Wasikowskii, started.
