Oregon Loses at Home Again! Purdue 65 Oregon 58
Purdue is 0-2 on the road, Oregon's 2 losses have been at home. Two Boilermakers are included in ESPN's "Top 50" 27. Trey Kaufman-Renn, Purdue Boilermakers No player in the country had bigger shoes to fill than Kaufman-Renn, who took over for Zach Edey, the first two-time Wooden Award winner in 40 years. Though Kaufman-Renn isn't Edey, he has been an elite post presence for the Boilermakers. On his first three possessions in Sunday's win over Nebraska, Kaufman-Renn scored on a floater in the lane, a jump shot and a putback off his own missed shot. He has made 62% of his shots inside the arc this season while averaging 17.5 points and 6.2 rebounds. -- Medcalf and 6. Braden Smith, Purdue Boilermakers For the past two seasons, Smith had the luxury of playing with Zach Edey, a two-time Wooden Award winner. The absence of a player in that realm tends to affect point guards more than anyone else because it disrupts the high-low game a team can implement when they have a dominant force in the paint. Yet, Smith is even better this season without Edey. The Boilermakers entered the week on a five-game winning streak, a stretch during which Smith produced 57 assists. (Yes, 57.) Trey Kaufman-Renn has been a breakthrough star with Smith's help; Fletcher Loyer has made 49% of his 3-point attempts. All of it comes in a scheme that's led by Smith, who looks like the country's best pure point guard. -- Medcalf How to watch Oregon Ducks vs. Purdue Boilermakers men's basketball game AUTZENZOO.COM The Oregon men's basketball team is back in action as the No. 13 Ducks host the No. 17 Purdue Boilermakers at Matthew Knight...

He is great on the radio and Luke and Luke were amazing, Jackson in particular in the NIT semi-final game against Colorado in 2003.

Will the B1G Trade a Champ Game for 'Championship Saturday?'
The one positive that could come out of this disastrous format is the elimination of Conference Championship Games. It's ridiculous that am undefeated team would have to play in one, of course it was Oregon. If somehow 2 teams went through undefeated, that's what tiebreakers are for.

Definitely agree, and you mentioned it in a previous post. how does Bol make the list? Bittle should be there.

2025 BIG Info, Predictions, Etc.
The Commissioner's created their own Catch 22 with their format. They put a premium on winning conference championships, but also disincentivized winning the conference championship, for the B1G at least.

Colorado Isn't Breaking the Bank to Keep Prime from Going to Dallas
I appreciate Colorado's "resistance" to Prime. He's not used to that.

2025 BIG Info, Predictions, Etc.
This is the problem. Ohio State is fine without even playing for the B1G Title.

Independent's Day for Notre Dame!!!
Notre Dame is part of the whitewashing that some are giving the CFP format now. "How can it be so bad, look at the blueblood Final Four?" Notre Dame getting the preferential treatment it does is proof that TV audience is driving college football.

Should Tosh Lupoi's Seat be HOT?
It really sems the perfect Storm that OBD ran into in the Rose Bowl exaggerated how bad the offense, the defense, the special teams, the uniforms, were compared to the previous 13 games. If they had been as bad, half as bad as they were on Jan,1, Oregon wouldn't have been un-Win not undefeated. David Marsh's articles examined what we watched those 13 games and the offense wasn't what we were used to. The games, specifically against Wisconsin, was always enough. Ohio State was a lot better than any of the other teams Oregon played, and they lost, to Oregon and Michigan. Objectively, Oregon's gift, thanks to the CFP format, of not playing for 3 weeks, while osu2, got to work up to and toy with Tennessee before getting to play Oregon again, had a lot to do with how that game played out. Lanning is off to a great start, emphasis on start. He and Lapoi and Stein are still trying to get the hang of this elite stuff. They'll have a long appointment with "the Doctor" and be ready, and have the team ready to go for the Natty.

Rebuilding Oregon’s Offense for 2025: The Passing Game
There might not be specific stats. But, as the OL goes, so goes the offense. Joe Burrow and the 2019 Offense wouldn't have been elite if he was on his back, or just constantly hurried. OL's open the holes for RB's to run through.

No.1 2025 Basketball Center Chooses Georgia Tech over Arkansas & Oregon
“I chose Georgia Tech because on my visit there I felt like I’m at home and also I knew they could help me to make it to the league.” What led to his trust in Damon Stoudamire and the coaching staff? “They have been here from the beginning and they never gave up on me and I believe in them.” In his own words, what type of player is Georgia Tech getting in Sylla? “I love to play defense, blocks shots, and take some still shots. I like to get the ball in the post and push the ball (up the court) sometimes.”

That LSU team was amazing to watch. That he transferred from osu2 made it more fun.

Rebuilding Oregon’s Offense for 2025: The Passing Game
Just checked this, in 2019, with Joe Burrow throwing to Justin Jefferson & Jamarr Chase, LSU averaged 401 yards passing per game, and 167 rushing yards per game. Oregon should do that next year! 🤩

DUCKS WIRE Ranks the B1G Top to Bottom in 2025
Not only the B1G Rankings. If Osu2 wins the Natty, 13-1 Oregon should be No.2. it's 1 loss being to the champ. Notre Dame would have 2 L's, to osu2 & N. Illinois. Penn State, L to osu2 & Oregon.

Rebuilding Oregon’s Offense for 2025: The Passing Game
That was a tremendous take, supported with easy to recognize stats, thanks! On the running game, we don't need stats presented to us, we all saw that it wasn't the running game, even the "Finesse" Oregon teams had, it definitely didn't keep opposing DC's up all night.

Rebuilding Oregon’s Offense for 2025: The Passing Game
The O in Oregon's offense did look different in 2024, "Prevent offense" did seem to be the plan, but with an extended season to deal with being a reasonable explanation; that and the difference the Portland State game made. The running game wasn't slowed down, like the passing game design, but the offense definitely didn't look like the Oregon offense we had grown accustomed to. Gabriel's lack of height probably was a part of this. Won't be an issue with Moore, and hopefully he and Dakorien will give us more of what we're used to, and maybe some more explosive plays from the RB's. There is still room to critique a 13-1 team, if there weren't, it would be 16-0.

Its B1G and Will Likely Get Bigger - Lots of Alumni With Lots of $$$
The rumors of my death have been exaggerated- Mark Twain Who knew that would come back and apply to the SEC football factory. I'm not saying that that the SEC is dead. But I believe the dominance it held for more than a decade is gone. The SEC is having a hard time accepting that, going to extremes I think, to say nothing has changed. But, the NIL Transfer Portal, expanded Playoff is a tide that even Alabama can't roll over. The B1G isn't going anywhere. The SEC is probably better 9th place down, which means they might sweep the PopTart Bowl for the next decade. A non SEC team is going to win the championship, and it's more likely than it has been for a long time, that will be the case next year.
