It Just Kept Getting Worse. No.22 Illinois 109 No.9 Oregon 77
Interestingly enough. In the Ducks one loss this season, UCLA shot 53%, 12-23 on 3's, here at MKA. One difference, the Ducks almost won that game, and the final score was 73-71.

Man, do I miss Mac Court! No.9 Oregon wouldn't be playing a game like this in the "Pit". Illinois hasn't won a road game this season, they're the youngest team in the B1G, and they're blowing the Ducks off the floor! Cameron Indoor is nothing like Mac Court was, But for this era it's wild. MKA? Nothing.

Shelstad hit his first shot for a 2-0 lead, now he's 1-4. Getting beat on the boards, and where's he D? Illinois is on pace to get 90!

That, and I think they're the best teams.

The Biggest Rose Bowl Shock: It's OVER
The game was 20-3 with less than 2 minutes to go in the first half. Oregon was not going to win that game with UW’s offense. You say that one belongs in the Blowout category, no problem. But I know I feel, felt, a lot different after that L than I do after yesterday's game. I've pretty much put the loss to the Buckeyes in RB 2025 out of my mind. But those L's, by 3 points, will haunt me forever. I know I was thinking, 'the Ducks are going to win this'. as it was going on. I thought so, early, and it still hurts because I definitely thought they'd win in the end.

All 4 Top Seeds Lost..
On "Talkin' Ducks" Joey Harrington was ridiculed just for suggesting that playing that game at home might not be so bad compared to "getting" the Bye. Hats off to Joey H!

Props To Ohio State (And a Buckeye Fan Response!)
As far as I'm concerned, it's Ohio State now.

The Biggest Rose Bowl Shock: It's OVER
BuckDuck, I hope you come by often. The Buckeyes have the only 2 time Heisman in No.45, Archie Griffin, I said yesterday, It's No.4's to lose next season, and if he stays for a junior season, probably be in the race for a second. Where possibly do you see where he can improve?

Notre Dame, 23-10. Georgia needs 2 TD's or 7 safeties.

Georgia takes over with a stop on ND 4th &1. Georgia false start on 4th & 2, turns into a punt. Delay of game on ND, 4th & 2 again. Pass rush gets to Stockton, pass comes up short.

The Biggest Rose Bowl Shock: It's OVER
Thanks, I appreciate you coming over. As I'm sure you noticed, no Washington Husky fans here, could have been that oh so complicated signing in process you seemed to have handled, but for whatever reason, we're glad to have a real Rival in the B1G.

Has there ever been a fumble that wasn't untimely? Georgia just fumbled, recovered by Notre Dame.

So, What About Tosh Lupoi?
I don't analyze film. But my analysis of the two games Oregon and Ohio State played comes down to: Ohio State wasn't prepared to play in October and lost by 1 point in the final seconds. Oregon wasn't prepared to play in January and lost by 20, in a game that was over after 5 minutes. This was a great season for Oregon. They won the B1G, were No.1, a season for the ages. The difference is Ohio State was pretty much this good last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, and will be Championship or Bust for years to come. Oregon obviously isn't that yet. There are a lot of holes to fill if the Ducks want to be in the New and Improved Playoff next season. I have complete faith that Lanning is the coach to get us there.

So, What About Tosh Lupoi?
It was really unfortunate that this happened in a Playoff game, be it in college or the NFL. That snowball just gets bigger and bigger and then it's a blizzard and OBD definitely didn't have a sled. It sure looked like No.8 Ohio State benefited by getting to play a game last week while No.1 Seed Oregon was left to sit and watch.

How about a 2 Seed for the Ducks? Maybe we don't want a 1 Seed right now. NCAA Bracketology: 2025 March Madness men's field predictions WWW.ESPN.COM For all the big-name Big Ten additions, Oregon is the most surprising -- and among the best -- of the bunch.

Glaring Problem...Fix it ASAP
One could look at the game against Ohio State and say that proves how badly Oregon got screwed by being the No.1 seed, which is obviously a problem. But there will be those who will only see that Oregon was exposed by Ohio State. Of course those will be the same bunch that will always believe that Alabama deserved to be in the Playoff.

Well, That Sucks. Post-Game Discussion...
I've heard & read, and it seems to be true that losing a game, even one like today, rarely affects recruiting, especially after they've signed.

You know, this does make some sense about Stewart. He was ready to go Pre-game, but then he wasn't.

Would it have been better if Oregon had finished 7-5 and won the Weed Eater Bowl?
