  1. So far, we're liking what Dillingham is saying about the offense next season. But, What is the Biggest Question for the Oregon Ducks' Offense in 2022 Zachary Neel DucksWire
  2. So, for the Pac-12, it's Oregon and there's...the other USC.
  3. I really wish there was room for a 6'5 220 receiver on the roster.
  4. Thanks for all of this. Clarity is what's needed now. The NIL and transfer portal have exploded because with all the signs that it wasn't the 50's anymore, nothing changed, but it can't be just piles of money now. Be careful what you wish for will come into play here.
  5. That is the best advice I've seen. It took a long time for NIL to come about, football and basketball players were raising issues about the student/athlete model in the mid 90's. All the things you mentioned, and a lot more will need to be dealt with. The one thing about legal work is that litigation takes a long time.
  6. As Charles Barkley says, "Live by the 3, die by the 3", There is sound reasoning to what you and Charles believe. But, I see the Bigs contributing more making Oregon better, not saving them. The Ducks were awful at the start of the season, now they've won 9 of their last 10, and it wasn't because Dante and Kepnang started playing so much better. It's a skewed stat, but Dante is the best shooter, % wise the Ducks have. They don't want to feed him the ball, but he makes shot's when he gets them. The major trouble is that a lot of the turnovers come when the ball is passed inside. So, stopping that could be a move to consider.
  7. It is fun when I remind a USC buddy that aside from Carroll, the best coaches at USC are Ducks. Robinson and McKay both played and coached at Oregon before going to USC.
  8. Altman is at 295-117 at Oregon, might as well get No. 300 at Arizona.
  9. Among my all-time favorite Ducks are softball players: Janelle Lindvall, catcher during most of White's tenure, when the Ducks owned the Pac-12, Jenna Lilly, 3rd base, what an arm! April Utecht, at shortstop, amazing athlete. Cheridan Hawkins, ace pitcher, can't forget Allison Mack, a slap hitter, and Haley Cruse, from last year.
  10. Forget the First Four, Joe Lunardi has the Ducks safely in the bracket, with time to move up. Oregon makes big jump in latest NCAA Tournament Projection
  11. Pre-season rankings, like the Draft at the end of a season, are based on potential, and of course to fill space during the long months until the season starts. There's not a lot of science involved in putting Alabama at No. 1. It's not as good as getting Lanning as the new coach. But getting a QB like Nix, with his experience, at an SEC school, is the second best thing to happen to the Ducks this off-season. If he emerges as the starter, all is good. Should Thompson or Butterfield end up taking the snaps in the ATL, they have instant credibility.
  12. My argument would be that for now, what's good for the conference is good for Oregon. USC being good again doesn't mean that Oregon can't be good, or great, at the same time. In fact, I think it helps both. We may not like it, but while Alabama wins the titles, the SEC is full of good teams, and only play an 8 game schedule. The Pac-12 of course plays 9, making it even more important that the schedule be competitive. It's hard enough for Oregon to get consideration for the Playoff without it looking like their schedule is full of cupcakes. Oregon will benefit greatly if they win the North and face 10-2, 11-1 USC, in the championship game.
  13. No two L team has made it to the Final four. There have been four match-up's of an undefeated and a 1 loss team, it's 2 -2. The first time it happened, "It could've gone either way", Oregon 59 FSU 20. The second time, undefeated LSU, beat Oklahoma. In 2020, undefeated Alabama beat Notre Dame, and last year, eventual champion, Georgia, beat undefeated Cincinnati.
  14. This is right. Jacksonville is in a historic run of bad, and Detroit is Detroit. Too bad for Hutchinson, but Detroit seems to be set on getting the Michigan hero.
  15. I hope this was Justin's last appearance in a Pro Bowl. Players appreciate receiving Pro Bowl recognition, and even more the All Pro designation. But of the 3 All Star Games, it is far and away, the worst. Baseball is actually a game that can be played as it is during the season. NBA has adjusted the rules, and fans are used to a final score in the 200's. But football can't be played in a carefree style.
  16. The only fans that I feel HATES Oregon is Washington, in our forum we've assembled the evidence that manifests the enmity. Unlike Washington, USC actually Is a blueblood, and can resent the new kid, with the fancy uni's, who took the spotlight away from them. As Washington sinks deeper into irrelevance, I look forward to battles with USC.
  17. A big difference here from other Forums is that at the other sites people have a thought post it, and that's it. Here, we are about discussion. We add our thoughts, but are interested in what others have to say, in all of the different topics. This works because we don't all have to think the same way about something.
