  1. Daisy had a knack for vocaliziing appropriately when Ducks made boneless mistakes...
  2. Actually interested her beneath a flower bed. My 17 year old Grandson decided to surround the spot with Daisies, and a rose bush he saved from his Great Great Grandmother's garden... in the spring, his sister and my wife (her Grandma), will plant a hydrangea (the main flower from my Granddaughter's coming wedding) on the site. Should make a nice memory garden!
  3. Yup. I don't think most of us realize quite how invested we get in our critter buddies, until they're not there.
  4. That's pretty good longevity for a Yorkie. Daisy would have been 9 Dec 10. In 51 years of marriage, she was the only dog my wife ever allowed to sleep on the bed. When my wife was diagnosed with a rare form of ocular melanoma, the surgeon commented that Daisy had alerted on the issue, before it was actually diagnosed. Never underestimate the value of the right companion!
  5. Yeah, I know she was actually my daughter' diabetic alert dog, but Daisy (yup, named after THAT Duck) never missed a game. She watched with us, and eagerly participated in our beach football games (Heaven forbid you missed a pass, or fumbled. You'd better be quick and agile!) I coached soccer for many seasons, and I had trained her to handle a ball well enough that I often took her to practice, and used her to train inexperienced players on defensive positioning and tactics. Kids didn't even realize they were actually acquiring skills because they had so much fun. I'll definitely miss her the rest of the season, as I watch OBD march to glory. I have a feeling it just won't seem quite the same.
  6. Amazing to see, but there a a total of 3 former PAC 12 refs, including Chris Coyte, Francisco Villar, and Steve Strimling known to be working B1G games. Maybe it's like a 'novel virus' infection.
  7. So you're saying OREGON hass more PHYSICALITY than Miami, and is more cerebral than UW?
  8. If OBD puts a spy out on 4th and goal, he needs to be disciplined enough to actually wait for the play to progress out of the quarterbacks hands... not always easy to do.
  9. Sorry... brain fart. After the finish to the Duck game, I may have become temporarily incoherent... Good thing I've never been a drinking man. Things might have gotten out of hand.
  10. Success! OSU throws incomplete with 33 seconds left, giving Phil Longo his first victory since 2005... Beavs had well over 400 yards of O, SH had 147 ..
  11. Oregon State is laboring mightily to give away their game against Sam Houston.
  12. Idiot announcer just referred to Hankerson as having 'Heisman-like' moments... not even in the same zip code.
  13. It's sort of a Love-Hate relationship.
  14. Be glad we weren't playing Wisky in the falling snow?
  15. Oregon DUCKS 30-17 2 T/O 2 Sack 265 yards Hear the Quack... Attack!
  16. Any other mascot would be down for the count!
  17. Hugh's on first?
  18. This is the D I wished for when Chip Kelly first came to Oregon...
