Were it not for unexpected medical bills, I would still attend every home game I could, and scream and dance with the rest of OBD in attendance. Those of us who sat in the (non-existent) rain, sleet, fog, and seemingly hopeless losses and ties of the late 60s, 70s, 80s, and most of the 90s, probably have a grater appreciation for what it took to arrive at the current state of OBD. I can remember as a teenager walking up to the gate (NO LINE or waiting) 10 minutes before a game with Cal (featuring players then known as Bobby Moore and Isaac Curtis), paying less than $10 dollars each, and proceeding to the seat of my choice, in a half empty Autzen Stadium. OBD lost that day, too. My buddies and I were back the next week to scream our hearts out, in the forlorn hope that better days were ahead. WE WERE RIGHT!!
