QUAAAAACK! Transfer DL Bear Alexander Commits to Oregon!
woundedknees replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I seriously doubt this becomes a 'massive headache' for the program. If BA becomes a distraction, Lanning and the staff have shown they know how to minimize that. If Alexander chooses that path, the NIL $$$ will be the most noticeable loss. Should BA prove to be a decent contributor and teammate, OBD win again! -
No Cig-rets? Too early?

After that performance, it may be a while before the Cigz build back up...

The cannot be killed... The syncophants of teams such as the fuskie refuse (or are too invested in navel inspection) to accept the reality that OBD Do NIL Better. That would be even more devastating if the rest of the NCAA had a caveat requiring that every team used the same monetary base for their players. Fiduciary Management is King, in this case.

Omigosh! Snorts and Laughs Continue!

Phil Knight gets to Rest in Peace, until next OBD season begins... That ought be some celebration. NIKE clones Keith Jackson, just for Oregon broadcasts! -
"I would've really loved it if Deion, Kalen, or Mario got in to make it really interesting!! Wouldn't hurt my feelings if any one of those guys got their butt beat!" Load 'em all on the bottom side of the bracket! Wouldn't that lead to an entertaining quarter final!

What are the odds TT shines in the bowl game? I find it hard to believe he will suddenly find his footing.

Dillon Gabriel Should Win the Heisman
woundedknees replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Big difference among the players nominated... One appears to be in it for his own aggrandizement, while the others, led by Gabriel, seem to be team first sorts, who are far more interested in TEAM success, than personal awards. I truly suspect that without Dillon Gabriel, the 2024 Ducks would not have succeeded at the level they have attained. The rest? Not so much! -
New Ones! GFAWW! Need a Good Laugh?

Says the guy whose sum total football acumen was as a sixth grade water boy/cleat polisher? -
I'd much rather see Lanning take a shot with Moore/Novosad, but what do I know? Good thing I trust Lanning and Stein (Assuming he doesn't get a promotion, somewhere)!

Oregon Won the Big Ten; Now It’s Time to Win the SEC

If the second coming of Keith Jackson ever arrives, I will be on board. "WHOA NELLY", I miss that guy! -
My first thought when I saw Belichick was hired by UNC was, "How fast does his son bail on UW?" In order to shoehorn his fair haired boy into a future HC position, they will need to be outstandingly successful... In a short amount of time. IMO, Dan Lanning, he ain't. Recruiting a 20-something girl to spend time on the proverbial dance floor is hugely different than convincing 18-20 year old boys to a brutally difficult (However disciplined) game. She might be able to help him understand the vagaries of NIL and the portal, though.

Dillon Gabriel Should Win the Heisman
woundedknees replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I might take a quarter back, but a player like Jeanty would be next on the list... Elite running skills, plus the ability to protect the quarterback as needed, benefit both facets of the offense. -
Winning it all, this season. Would require Oregon to accomplish a feat that will potentially be unmatched for years to come. In point of fact, has never been achieved before: Win 16 consecutive games in single season!!! Sounds like a singularity point in history to me! Just a little something for every other college football coach to yearn for, whine about, make excuses for, or use as motivation to become better at their chosen vocation... Either that, or go find a dark corner to disappear in.

Things Not Mentioned About the B1G Championship Game
woundedknees replied to Grandpa Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
By the time, the confetti settled, there was indeed and empty stadium revealed. This was a team game, but the look on Tez's face? PRICELESS -

The lad needs room for haulling his boys to the buffet! FEAST ON, OBD!
