  1. Mandates for more taxes to offset the loss of revenue for Oregon State? A tax on every ticket sold at Autzen? “The difference between death and taxes is death doesn’t get worse every time Congress meets.” Will Rogers
  2. So...more proof of the new B1G being a Super-Conference, and perhaps the best one? (Based on 2024 conferences) SEC: Eight teams ranked, No. 1, No. 4, No. 5, No. 11, No. 12, No. 20, No. 22, and No. 23 for a total of 98. B1G: Eight teams ranked, No. 2, No. 3, No. 6, No. 7, No. 10, No. 15, No. 19, and No. 25 for a total of 87. Lowest score wins, as the higher you are ranked--the lower the number. The B1G has the higher ranking at the end of last year based on the 2024 conferences. This will be quite interesting to watch over time...
  3. Well, I would have guests sit in the big brown chair, while I would have the entertainment tour from the black table. But in a month or so--the Famous FishDuck ManCave will be no more. Yet, like joining the B1G...new adventures await! A video created in that room...
  4. B1G to USC: "Sure, we'll keep Oregon out." Final Result? The biggest one ever...
  5. Yes, we are part of a Super-Conference now, and Oregon is part of what makes it super. For those that missed it--for the final top 25 last year--analyze the future SEC and B1G and both had seven in the top 25, with the higher ranking going to the B1G! The SEC is no longer going to be the default "best" conference, and Our Beloved Ducks will have a part in making that true.
  6. It is like the loss of the Pac-12, and the promise of new adventures going forward.
  7. For once James Crepea gives someone else grief with a long statement/question. As for GK? In our rear-view mirror, as he is now Oregon State's problem. While it is a terrible shame, we now can see that a good deal was never going to happen. The entities were not going to pay what we needed, and the best judgment of it all was leaving for the B1G...which is something I thought I'd never write. But as time passes I am more and more delighted with the decision. Oregon will be fine...
  8. 1. The vast majority of Oregon fans did NOT want this happen. 2. If the circumstances were reversed…they would have done the same thing in a heartbeat and felt fine about it. 3. They were rejected because they don’t have a brand or large following. Whose fault is that?
  9. No biggie. The truth is…most of the other teams of the former PAC-12 and their fans did not like the Ducks for a variety of reasons. Another reason won’t matter. They may not “like” Oregon, but if we do as well as I believe we will under Dan Lanning..,they will respect us. I’m good with that.
  10. Amen Duck-Buddy. And because we are now in a "Big-Boy" conference--the typical disrespect or diminishing of the Ducks' accomplishments will no longer happen. Success cannot be ignored... I think NJDuck made a fantastic point in another thread...of how TONS more great football players in the Midwest and east will seriously consider Oregon further because now their parents can easily travel to a B1G game versus Eugene, and how our games will be on NBC, CBS, Fox and the B1G channel. It just removes another mental barrier and makes it easy for the top 200 players to choose Oregon! I think in the end...Oregon is going to benefit more from the new B1G connection than the B1G will from Oregon joining them. Yes, our presence will add another B1G team in the top 10, and more glory for their conference, but I believe Oregon is poised to EXPLODE as the last elements that held the Ducks back are being removed. Charles....
  11. Try...TRY not to laugh at the end of this!
  12. You gotta admit...there is truth to this!
  13. Oh! This may get a little too....
  14. As we have learned more after the disaster, which element surprised you the most? For me--quite a few items....ESPN giving one bid and walking....Pac-12 blowing it off....Apple trying to get it all on the cheap...and now today I learn from Canzano that Amazon never even submitted a bid? All our excitement--and Amazon was not interested at all? Whew.
