Oregon's Blind-Side Tackle is 'Iffy?'
I cannot recall who, but an astute OBD member here pointed out that since Dillon Gabriel is left-handed, this means his blind side is on the right side. I just assumed that Josh Connerly will guard our new QB just fine with all his experience, but now I realize it is the tackle on the other side who is Gabriel's blind-side protector. Thus Ajani Cornelius becomes that much more crucial, and we have not heard if he is going to the NFL or not. If we had a newbie at that important right offensive tackle? Not good... I would like to think that another year would improve Cornelius's draft stock, and now especially being the blind-side protector...that could really up his stock, and give him great experience with that pressure. C'mon man!

Oregon Is Going to Be Old in ’24
I think of all the great recruits of the last two years, and think of the Ducks with lots of young talent. But among the starters? TONS of experience in the entire offense, and on defense we have both inside linebackers, and now with three of five DBs filled with experience. At the moment, we will have some new starters on the defensive line, but we don’t know the extent until the portal transfers are fully known. We have an abundance of young talent on the defensive line, but not a lot of experience yet. That is only real area of youth on the team, IMHO. Overall, Ryan, you quite right, even if with some tongue-in-cheek.

Liberty Receiver to Visit Oregon? The Mystery Visitor is...
It is rumored that CJ Daniels of Liberty (who went into the portal) is visiting Texas, and is thought to be visiting Oregon after that. In my film study of Liberty--I thought he was an outstanding receiver, who did a great job of going up and just finding a way to come down with the ball. Often the QB would just throw it up and let him outjump the competition. I was impressed with him, and felt that Oregon's focus on taking him out of the game was a major component by our defense in the Fiesta Bowl victory. We allowed him some short passes and slants, but nothing deep downfield. The mystery visitor this weekend is Jamaree Caldwell, a sizeable defensive lineman from Houston. Ja'Maree Caldwell is a Defensive Lineman from Mount Holly, NC 247SPORTS.COM summary

Oregon Ducks Spring Ball: Who’s on Your Radar?
I made the mistake last year of not paying attention to the portal transfers until after the Spring Game, as I was shocked at what I saw. This year I am going to study the portal transfer players carefully before the Spring Game, and really watch to see if they can help as the coaches hope. As noted above--there is a TON of talent on this team, and most of it is quite young and has to be sorted out. We will have more transfers out after the Spring Game when some players see they are at the bottom of the depth chart.

Noah Whittington Reveals Plans for 2024 Season with Oregon
Noah is the fastest running back, and is deadly coming out of the backfield receiving passes. He did fantastic under Dilly doing that, but with the Stein offense? Whew! A long receiving TD in this game...

I Am Rooting for the Huskies
The problems with negative emojis, and/or thumbs down (downvotes) are much greater than the benefits. People get offended really easy if there a lot of downvotes and won't post again, someone doesn't like someone else and always downvotes that person, etc. People use downvotes as a way to discourage posting of certain opinions on certain topics... Been there, done that. Would I bring the downvotes back?

OMIGOSH! Nyckoles Harbor is in the Portal!
Whoops! Apparently that was a hoax, and I thank the OBD member in that area, Notalot, for researching and confirming that the tweet at the top is not true.

Oregon BEATS the Bastard Huskies 76-74!
You have not read all that has written about this issue. Phil did not help Oregon until we went to the Rose Bowl and Cotton Bowl on our own. Winners want to work with winners, and we had to prove it on our own first. Oregon State has not done anything like that, and besides--they have tons of alumni who have done well in business, yet have not been attracted to the program. Again...not Oregon's fault. Even with that first project...the indoor facility bears the name of the major donor at the time Ed Moshofsky, a former Oregon player who helped get the project going.

OMIGOSH! Nyckoles Harbor is in the Portal!
It is reported on another site that there is another visitor this weekend, and he does not want his name leaked. Could it be Harbor? Harbor is an elite athlete that I wanted bad last year, and is an elite track athlete as well. Get'im Dano!

Oregon Football Receiver Traeshon Holden Returning for Senior Season in 2024
This makes Gary Bryant Jr. expendable if the Texas A&M transfer decides to join us. I'd like Bryant, but he may decide to leave if the transfer comes, and if so--it is a good trade for us. With Tez and Holden in hand, things look good. Now we need Ferguson to stay!

Oregon BEATS the Bastard Huskies 76-74!
We are not blaming them for the demise of the conference, but they are blaming us. The major component in why they are in this spot is their athletic department management over the decades. They did not do anything to make their brand special, to build their fan base, and now they want to blame their current situation on Oregon?
