  1. Why would there not ever be a rule violation for tracking/reporting/laughing at MC? Because... 1) It is fun. 2) It is entertaining. 3) It makes us grateful as hell that he is gone. I never said I was noble...
  2. I do not believe that Nix has an NFL arm, so if he wanted to come back for one more year to enjoy the whole college experience--I would take a 72% completion rate QB back!
  3. I have a number of things to say about the 'Furd, but I will let Alan do it for me in his Saturday Spoof. (I've read it already, and it is epic)

  5. I still saw some "wolfing, or barking" by our players at WSU players after a great play, and I was surprised and disappointed. (It was Manning again...)
  6. Fun article Darren, because we've all been there! I was disgusted with the end of the Oklahoma game in Autzen years ago, and got up and left. Then when I heard people screaming...I went back and watched the finish of the Oregon win from the rim of the Stadium when I had great seats! Been there!
  7. I think Mario had this expression below when thinking of that "FishDuck" guy who had been questioning his offense since his first month as Oregon HC...
  8. (From Oregon Athletics Press Release) EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon football’s game at Arizona on Saturday, Oct. 8, will kick off at 6 P.M. PT and will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network, the conference office announced on Monday morning. The No. 13 Ducks (3-1, 1-0 Pac-12) are coming off a thrilling 44-41 comeback win at Washington State in their first Pac-12 game of the season. Oregon will host Stanford (1-2, 0-2 Pac-12) this Saturday, Oct. 1, at 8 P.M. at Autzen Stadium (FS1) before traveling to Tucson next week to face the Wildcats (2-2, 0-1 Pac-12).
  9. We have three objectives with the 'Feed: 1) Provide the one place that is free to everyone to get the news/articles about Oregon Sports, and 2) we are not bringing them all to you, as there is massive redundancy among all the sites. We curate the best of each Duck topic and bring them to you, in addition to the major news that all Oregon fans should be informed of. The final one, 3) We are bringing the tasty topics and tweets that can copied and brought to the main forum area for discussion with this wonderful community. We will restrict the number of articles to the FishDuck Feed to under 50, thus it may be 40-something, or the Focused Forty articles and tweets to be aware of for each day. News and articles updated throughout the day!
  10. I recall a FishDuck writer predicting this.... Mario Cristobal: Quarterback Killer FISHDUCK.COM We've all heard the consensus point of view from Duck fans: Mario Cristobal regressed the development of Justin Herbert and Anthony Brown. Both QBs spent two...
  11. Isn't it amazing how No. 7 and up are really good teams? Now, that does not make us a "Top-Heavy" conference, but one that is very competitive, entertaining and balanced. Time for us to be proud of the conference again.
  12. Superb analysis, and now…will the in-house offensive analysts tell him the same thing? If he learns from this…
  13. It is incredible, and another big surprise from this team. Klemm is killing it!
  14. This is the rub we all have to live with...yet a 72% completion rate is a mile beyond what we thought was coming. I have to embrace what we discussed before... Bo Nix's Picks: Can You Live With Them? FISHDUCK.COM Right now Oregon fans are almost swooning in a classic "honeymoon" phase with new head coach Dan Lanning before any games are played. To a degree...
  15. Really good point...pushing 80%? (Stop the crazy talk Charles...)
  16. A big change there, and perhaps it is more confidence in his offense at Oregon? At Auburn...when he had any chance...he had to take it?
  17. I was so impressed with how well WSU played and how well they were coached. We were very fortunate to survive, and it got me to pondering again... Those Cougars are going to be big trouble for everyone else, and could be a spoiler for a conference contender. Washington State plays USC, Utah, Oregon State and of course, Washington. All are the other major league contenders, and those Cougars will mess things up for somebody on their schedule! WSU plays Utah and Washington at home...I likey. Could they decide who wins the conference?
  18. When a team is forged in fire? That Pullman game is a perfect example of it. I agree with you Hayward, as winning is important, but that win helped the mental growth of the team so much--so crucial for down the line.
  19. Agreed, and it has got to help offensive player recruiting for freshmen. I really thought that Oregon could get some flips from other programs later in the season as everyone sees what this Lanning team is about. Dillingham is following through with what he promised, and the fun times are back!
  20. We ran a particular play all game...I call it the Tight End Power, where the off-side H-Back and the guard pull to the other side. In one Red Zone play in the first half that got stuffed outside...Bucky did not see a cutback to an inside lane that could have scored instead of being stoned outside. Later in the game on a key down--he did see that inside lane, took it and made the first down. They are learning and their vision is improving. Love it!
  21. I completely agree, as you can see and feel the commitment to learning, to growing. THAT is how we can turn into a conference champion over the course of the season, and it is so refreshing to see! We don't need to get more physical, we need to grow!
  22. Amen, as we all are. I am pleased and perplexed... Wrong more often than I'm right...very hard to predict!
  23. This is that time of year when I often come to the realization that Our Beloved Ducks are not quite as good as I hoped. Right now I am pleased with the growth of the offense, and frankly, pretty surprised at the weakness on defense. At this point to me...we look like a good team, but we are not a great team. Could we be a great team? Absolutely, but not without more growth on defense across the board. The other element is the development of other teams in the conference, and I will admit to being impressed with the coaching taking place at a number of locations. We have some tough games coming up in-conference. We are not a NC contender, IMHO, although with vast defensive improvement....could we make the Playoffs? Right now my goal is to improve to be a legit top-10 team, and that would be a pretty good accomplishment for Lanning's first year. If we don't get better on defense...we could lose three more games. Will we improve? What are your thoughts about where this team is at right now?
