Our pitchers started the season out hot, then the starters took a step back while the relievers (mostly freshmen) surprised us. The starter on Sundays, Jackson Pace, has been moved to reliever this week, while Saturday starter Leo Uelmen has been moved to Sunday and Logan Mercado starts on Saturday. (Jace Stoffal starts on Friday as usual) I thought we might see Matt Dallas as a starter considering how hot he has been lately as a reliever. Eyebrows raised...Coach Waz does not sit tight when there are issues. (Like giving up seven runs in the first inning!) It was amazing looking at the ERA numbers for some of the relievers: Grayson Grinsell's ERA at 4.35 does not look super, but he's had great innings, and some stinkers. But boy he was superb up in Pullman when we needed it. Freshmen will do that... Matt Grabmann has a 2.16 ERA. Ian Umlandt has a 1.93 ERA. Matt Dallas is at 1.65 ERA. Austin Anderson has a 1.00 ERA. Josh Mollerus has a 0.00 ERA....yeah, no runs given up as our closer. Whew! Gotta love a pitcher with a Mullet!

Saint Nick? I remember the thread on another forum years ago with pictures of Alabama players with new cars...tons of BMWs, and the string of pictures had to be over 25 of them. Wasn't it amazing how they could do that on a college football stipend?

Even with the bad free throw shooting--we could have won it at the end, but made bonehead choices on shot selection in the final two minutes. That, and with such a young/inexperienced line-up we did not have a clutch player to turn to at the crucial time. I was surprised that Dana did not call a time-out and set more plays up and tell the players to think. But this group went farther than I figured they would and I enjoyed the last three games. The experienced/smart squad won the end of that last game--where was the coaching?

College players need an analysis like this going into their final year of college in order to know what to work on--to help Oregon do its best as well!

With our starting times--the majority of America did not have visibility of our games anyway. So whether they are streamed, or starting at 7:30 PM Pacific--we are not/were not visible to most. Our deal may not be what we want, but we will make the best of it.

Something that we all love as Oregon fans of all sports is watching players develop and have "the" moment where they realize...."I can play at this level. Maybe even excel at this level!" Watching Bittle grow to where he is now is so fun, and makes you happy for him. Interesting how he suggested in interviews how playing the 5-position, and not the stretch-4 is a better matchup that he prefers. But just being on the floor has given him confidence. Watching the development of Trikwese Bridges at corner in football was also rewarding to watch...

There are currently 14 teams in the B1G, and there will be 16 in a year and a half. Based upon our global fan base, Oregon would rank No. 4 in the B1G if Oregon joined them, that is fourth among 17 teams? Seventh largest fan base size among all conferences? Bigger than USC, UCLA, Texas A&M, Auburn, LSU, Georgia and Alabama? Add to that is how Oregon has been under-viewed due to our terrible TV contracts (or lack of them) and our starting times. With streaming--our viewership could double considering how we've been held back by the current media contract, and prior management. Who wouldn't want Oregon?

Agreed. All part of what we learn in this six year trial. I do NOT want to leave, but if the revenue gap continues--we may have to leave for survival of all sports at Oregon.

Boy when it was 7-1...I checked out for a while but came back to see ten runs scored. Whew! Waz had made reference to the high upside of this team, and that is evident in both hitting and pitching. Keep improving! In the meantime--it is fun to watch!

That is a bit much…I bet many of us would want to do the same thing if we were in an NBA player’s position. But the FD rule is—once they leave Oregon—all protections are off.

Dan did not really give us what his MO is...only that he is not restricting them and continuing to recruit them. I think some kind of line should be drawn by Oregon sites as to what is a verbal? If the offensive tackle who verbaled to us is taking eight visits in the future? That is not a verbal, that is a current preference is all. A Verbal really isn't in hand...

Well, I think I will discuss the actual topic that began the thread and not divert elsewhere... First--I did not know that the conference is paid out over a five year period for a team being in the NCAA BB tournament. News to me.. Second--again, the team that is in the tournament should get 50% of the revenue with the rest split. Winners have to be rewarded, especially if we are taking a 30 million hit per year to remain in this conference.

He has 12 positions listed, (two OLBs) and I understand the confusion that most have, because we run a 4-2-5 defense with the Outside Linebacker on the line of scrimmage and he is called the "Jack" linebacker. Oregon only has two inside linebackers in this defense, the "Money" and the "Mac." He is showing 76 scholarship players, and 32 walk-ons for 108 total. Looks a lot different! Look, I've been humbled a ton over the years, but yesterday was another prime day of examples. Oregon was going to romp in Baseball over Niagara, right? I never even knew there was such a team...and we lose at home? The Mens Basketball team playing without three starters, (stars) was going to get their butts-kicked by an Irvine team that already owned them in December....right? Usually as I get older I get wiser, except for with sports. Good luck with your March Madness Bracket!

Monmouth is pretty close to Corvallis, (where the sponsor of the bill is from) and this looks like a way to protect "Corvallis College," (one of their actual names in the past) I assume. Are the Beavers scared?
