Duke Mauls The Tigers
Duke QB Riley is a guy who many draft gurus have going ahead of Bo. 2nd year Duke HC Mike Elko who was the DC at A+M before taking the Duke job has to be on the radar of big-time schools considering a new HC. (Clemson? Kidding.) Interesting that both Elko and DL came from the D side of the ball. The hire of Lincoln Riley's younger brother from TCU to revitalize the Clemson O does not appear to be working all that well. As noted in other comments above, it does not appear to be just DJU's fault that Clemson is no longer the ACC power it once was. Dabo best move into the modern era of CFB and start taping the portal. With UNC beating up So Car on the LOS, FSU playing with LSU in the 2nd half and with the Duke win, the ACC is deeper than it has been in many years. Now, let's see how Mari(o) holds up against A+M on Saturday.

Week 1 Thread for Non-Oregon games
I don't know other than for this evening. Duke 28 Clemson 7. A 5 game Clemson winning streak over the Blue Devils comes to an end. 2 top 10 teams go down in week 1. 5. LSU and 9. Clemson. The ACC went 2-1 against the SEC. The Pac-12 went 1-0. clemson+vs.+duke - Google Search WWW.GOOGLE.COM

Week 1 Thread for Non-Oregon games
Not looking good for Clemson playing the Dukies. Lincoln Riley's younger brother has surely goosed the O, right? FSU has to be loving this. Ditto, the Domers.

Thoughts on Florida St - LSU?
"I thought we were better?' Brian Kelly Bri, I feel your pain. I thought my concept of underrated/overrated was better. Same with my wagering recommendations. LSU will win at least 9 games in the 2023 regular season. FSU gets a win at Clemson in Week 4 for the first time in the last 8 games, FSU should stroll into the final Final 4. To think, when ASU hired Herm to revolutionize CFB, the Sun Devils could have hired FSU coach and former ASU assistant coach, Mike Norvell. So far, Mike has prospered from poaching the portal. And FSU fans beefed when Mike was hired to replace the failed Slick. SMH. FSU RB Tre Benson is another guy that Mari(o) buried.

QUAAAAACK! Brayden Platt Commits to Oregon!
7 2024 B1G teams in the Top 25. Oregon and USC. No UCLA and UW? I'm shocked!

? On Wisconsin! But really. Wisconsin did not have the ball on the final possession close to the goal line.

The Pac-12 Is Not Going Gently Away
1st time since 1980 that the Pac-12 is undefeated after week 1. The Biggest Will Stein Surprise?
Spot on on the JJ FSU call-out! And as(s) for my betting predictions, I am a pitiful 3-3. The bright side? I did come with 2 USC Route 66 Over locks. That, and I didn't have money down on the Bayou Bengals vs. (not overrated) FSU. Bad beat - .5 from winning the Over on the Kentucky vs. Ball State game with the two teams combining for 3 missed extra point attempts. Rats!

Wall Street Journal on the Deion Sanders Experiment
Good points but SCOREBOARD! CU went on the road and beat the #17 ranked team in the country.

Wall Street Journal on the Deion Sanders Experiment
Texas State came in 2nd after CU, 51 transfers, in portal additions with 49. Texas State won its 1st game ever against a P5 opponent with Saturday's win at Baylor. (Baylor's starting QB is out for the Utah game.) CFB loves to copycat. The transfer portal will continue to have an impact down the road. UGA backup QB Brock Vandagriiff relieved stater Carson Beck in the 3rd quarter of Saturday's win over UT-Martin and put up 17 points. This is a guy who could be on DL's transfer portal radar.

Weird: I've Lost All Interest in Oregon State
Transitive property FWIW, but the OSU D on the road looked better against SJS than the SC D at home.

Weird: I've Lost All Interest in Oregon State
The only game kind of worth watching was the Penn State White Out of West Virginia. The Illinois game vs. Toledo was interesting but Holy Toledo Illini, it's Toledo, no? It was morbidly interesting to watch the Ohio State O struggle. Marvin Harrison, Jr. with 2 receptions? Minnesota won on a walk-off FG but the game versus Nebraska was like watching 2 guys fishing. Northwestern at Rutgers? Res Ipsa Loquitor.
