  1. Rivalry? The Ducks have not played the Trojans since the champ game win in 2020. Puddles is more likely to face off against Traveler in the B1g than in the Pac-12 because the Cali scheduling agreement is going away.
  2. I don't about the gentleman but I'll take the bet. It's so hard to call this game if Barnes starts at QB for the Utes. I like the Over regardless.
  3. Tonight, on the floor of the Nebraska football stadium, after a warm-up game featuring 2 lower-level Nebraska schools, P5 Nebraska will play P5 VB Omaha in the feature match. The B1G Network predicts that over 92,000 fans will be in attendance. This will break the all-time record for people watching a women's sporting event in person anywhere around the world. It's so good to be going B1G! That's very cool 18x - 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍! And very cool for Ducks VB players. You Go Girls!
  4. Florida has moved to +7. I waited on this to see if the line would move depending on the Rising scuttlebutt. Still not certain Cam will play but the extra .5 is nice.
  5. It's one game Paawllll. With a lot of new moving parts. But overall I love the take.
  6. You have to be flexible to play on the OL.
  7. Remember that all LOCKS, bets, and otherwise, can be broken. The below games are the Week 1 games I have bet on. Never bet quid in an amount that could flip your financial lid! Week 0 Recap - Off to a good start with the Over 66 on the USC/San Jose State game. This was like stealing. Week 1 - FLORIDA +6.5 at #14 UTAH. Florida is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 road games. Cam and his favorite receiver, Brent Kuithe, may not see the field. I like the Gators to cover and the game to go Over 44 points. Even if C and K cannot play, 44 is an extremely low total for modern-day college football BOISE STATE at #10 UW - I like the Over 58.5 points. Penix is the real deal with a terrific WR room. Boise QB, Taylon Green, 2022 2nd team all-frosh and 2022 Frisco Bowl MVP, is back for an Andy Avalos team that stumbled out of the gate in 2022 but finished strong once Green became the starter. The Huskie D backs in 2022 were an ATC out-of-control Please Fly Zone. I do not think the Husky CBs and Safties will be much improved in 2023. BALL STATE at KENTUCKY - Over 48. OC Liam Cohen is back and I think he will do good things with QB Devin Leary who transferred in from NC State. LOCK BET - NEVADA at USC - 66 points, again! Thank you, Sir, can I have another. Over 66 all day long. Summary - Nevada at USC - Over 66 Ball State at Kentucky - Over 48. Boise State at UW - Over 58.5 Florida +6.5 at Utah. Florida covers the 6.5 spread and the game goes over 44. Best of luck. And if it goes South, please don't blame the messenger. 😍
  8. NJ Duck, good catch on USC vs.#14 Utah. Is this any way to run a "Playoff?" Last 4 team field and we know that 2Ls and you are out! SOS? Move right along, nothing to see here. Notre Dame - #3 tSOU - Southern Utah is number 3? Oregon - Texas Tech is AP ranked #26. The Red Raiders TCB in Laramie and TT could be a Top 25 team when Puddles flies into Buddy Holly country. However, IMO, before the final Playoff Committee Ranking on 12/3/23, no team knows for certain what Top 25 teams, if any, it played in the regular season.
  9. Fabulous Fearless Forecast For Football Fans From FishDuck! (Alliteration: An Amazing Artistic Attribute.) "A man's reach should exceed his grasp/Or what's a heaven for?" Robert Browning (I've heard that Rob made bank betting the Over?) I LOVE the optimism. On paper, the parts are in place for a better-than-good gut showing. "Fortus Fortuna Adiuat - Fortune Favors the Brave." Terence (Terry also scored. In his case, betting on the Hippodrome horse races.) Charles, bet on the Ducks winning the Natty. +4000 would be a nice payday. Great gutsy gut guess! I would expect no less.
  10. Sir Notalot, a realistic and sound POV. I do hope Chalres' gut is all good. But 12-0 would be a first since CU and Utah joined the conference. 4 games against top 25 competition, another one in the 13th game if Oregon makes the trip to Las Vegas, and Texas Tech now ranked #26 could sneak into the Top 25 with a good showing Saturday in Laramie. (TT is -14.) I'm with Charles, if the 2023 Ducks bring the A game they should win every game on the schedule. But this a tough ask for college football players who have a lot of stuff going on in addition to football. Last season Oregon and Bo brought a B- game to The Palouse and it almost cost Oregon a loss that would have altered, perhaps, the entire course of the season. Every team in the conference is fired up to play the Ducks as Texas Tech will be in Lubbock. The Ducks will need steady on-field leadership on D. The same leadership Bo brings on O. Troy Franklin is the man. But I'm looking to Tez Johnson to bring the jets at WR and as a punt returner.
  11. dwc13, so you were The Guy who went to the Cal and Stanford games. Just Kidding. Back in the 90s, both Bay Area teams drew better than decent crowds. Now, both are in effect, hoping to buy their way into the ACC. Very sad but you reap what you sow. Here's hoping Ryan Day picked the right pitcher to throw to an outstanding group of WRs.
  12. Gentlemen, please allow us to pay for the privilege of joining a conference that at least two members are looking to leave. Look at Stanford. Look at the quality of non-revenue sports. It's all about (well, 80%+) football. Shaw retiring on the job did not help the Cardinal with finding a new home. Cal? If Cal dropped football would it be equivalent to: If a tree falls in the forest ... Meanwhile, the Bruins are hoping the new suitor will come through with a ring, and Calimony payments will be minimal if that. Reason ACC could add Pac-12 schools revealed WWW.YARDBARKER.COM The ACC is said to be seriously considering adding three schools in an expansion effort, and now we know the real reason for the potential moves.
  13. As long as you use it in a civil manner, I think it's OK.
  14. No wonder after ESPN/SEC purloined OK and TX Fox wanted to elbow ESPN out of LA. The 2 LA schools have more of an impact on the B1G deal than I expected, but I knew that it was a B1G impact.
  15. Thank you, dwc13. My Mom was among the first women to earn a Master's Degree from Ohio State. I'm named after a maternal uncle who was a tank commander under Patton in WW2. Made it through Africa and Italy but was KIA at The Battle of the Bulge. Posthumously, he was awarded a Siler Statr Had he returned, he would have been the captain of the Ohio State golf team. My other maternal uncle saw combat and returned to captain the Michigan golf team. These 2 missed decades of rivalry jousting. I was born in Toledo in the same hospital as Urban Meyer and Jim Harbough. Both had a more illustrious football career than did I. My high water mark was playing D3 ball. I was blessed to see Oregon play back in the day in The Shoe when it was still a shoe. Ducks played a very good game but that was one of the 9 out of 10 to date won by the Buckeyes. Columbus has a great game-day atmosphere. And when we visited, the fans could not have been more gracious. Best of luck to the Bucks in 2023.
  16. Bless you, my friend. Bracing for high winds and monsoon-like rain here in Aiken, SC. Florida changed its plans to fly to Salt Lake tomorrow and flew out this afternoon instead. Keep your head down.
  17. Duckhart, Oregon did not play SC in 2021. The last time Oregon played SC was in the conference champ game in 2020. OR met SC in the conference champ game as UW due to COVID could not participate. Oregon won 31-24 to win the Pac-12 championship. Then face-planted in the Fiesta Bowl vs. Iowa State. The score was 34-17 in favor of the Cyclones. Williams transferred to SC in 2022. Oregon has yet to face Williams. Thank you, Cali scheduling agreement. It is ironic that Oregon will most likely play SC more often in the B1G than in the Pac-12. With the all-time record of 38-21-2, the Ducks do owe the Trojans nevertheless.
  18. No surprise here. In 2024 I agree that the field will have five not six automatic champ qualifiers with seven, not six, at large teams. College Football Playoff committee also prepared to kill Pac-12 with 12-team plans FANSIDED.COM The College Football playoff is planning to ignore the Pac-12 when it comes to playoff consideration. What else can this conference endure before it completely.
  19. Great take. But in 2022, Williams in 500 attempts only threw 5 picks. 2 of the picks bounced off of his receiver's hands. Not an easy guy to fluster and for the most part Williams is very accurate. If you all out-rush and don't contain the edges this guy will kill you on roll-out passes and running the ball.
  20. Great take. CBS Sports, latest odds to win the 2023 Pac-12 Football Championship - USC +180/ OREGON +325/ UW +350/ Utah +500/ OREGON STATE +900/ UCLA +1200. The books like Oregon's chances far more than the media. With the uncertainty regarding Rising's health, Utah's odds have dropped. OR ST on paper has a very easy OOC schedule. Right down there with Michigan, Georgia, and UCLA. In fairness, the SEC canceled UGA's trip to OK. And Michigan canceled out an H+H with UCLA. Sneaky tough road trips for the Beavers playing at Wazzu and at U of A, and of course, at 15 Oregon. Tough home games vs. 14. Utah, 10. UW ( kick FGs in Seattle last season and OR ST and not Utah plays in the champ game,) and UCLA will not be an easy out in Corvallis. But only 3 games vs. ranked opponents is lightweight for this season's Pac-12. 109th in passing in 2022. Is DJU the answer or, a continuing question mark? Even a half-decent passing attack will help open up an already sound run game. I think Oregon's SOS in 2023 is ranked far too low. Fan Nation based on 2022 results ranks Oregon #96 (75-77.) OR ST is ranked #63 (80-70.) Oregon plays AP Poll #6 USC and #18 Oregon State at home. Plays at #10 UW, #14 Utah, and #26 Texas Tech. Oregon is the dog for the game at Utah, +1.5. Favored in the other 4 games vs. ranked teams: at Texas Tech -3; at UW -12.5; USC -4.5, and Oregon State -3. And Oregon is favored in all of the other 8 games. So in 2023, the Ducks are not being dogged, except in Salt Lake City.
  21. Stevan A, a repeat of the first CBB tournament played 78 seasons ago would be nice. How about The Ducks with Web Foots, 'The Blur Firs,' defeat Ohio State for the Natty?
  22. Thank you, Alex. If wishes were horses ... You make an excellent case for the Ducks in 2023. Spot on in regard to injury but for those of us who played the game (in my case before the World Wide Net showed up) if you play to avoid injury you are most likely to get hurt. DL and company do have to be judicious in the use of Bo in the run game but I do not want to see a Mari(o) like blanket thrown over Bo like we witnessed in the case of Justin Herbert's senior year before the title game and kind of, in the Rose Bowl. I've often pondered whether Oregon have won at ASU and advanced to the Final 4 if Justin had been allowed to be more free-wheeling in Tempe. In the day and age of the portal and most schools having limited QB depth this is indeed a conundrum for any OC. This close, [ ] to kickoff. After the off-season of confusion and uncertainty, Let's Play Ball!
  23. I was around but like many things today I don't recall.
  24. SC had holes to fill against SJS. Yet, that O is incredible, and the D if even marginal could get Troy to the playoff. And the SC D off of game 1 will improve as the season progresses. This is an O that will not be shut down. To beat these guys you will have to outscore these guys. I am echoing Charles here. Utah at home in 2022 won a game by 1 point against SC with a healthy vet QB on the field. Then, coming off a game vs. the worst P5 team in CFB in 2022, CU, Utah beat up SC coming off of a game vs. Notre Dame, a bowl winner vs. a hot SO CAR team, and dinged Williams the same way Rising was dinged in the Rose Bowl. This SC team is scary good on O and has a whole bunch of nothing schedule-wise before playing in South Bend and then Utah. Then after Cal. back to back against UW and the Ducks in Eugene. No matter how much the Oregon D improves the game in Autzen promises to be a down-to-the-wire shoot-out. How great would it be to have Game Day in Eugene with both teams undefeated? Oregon TCBs in Lubbock and this is a real possibility.
  25. COME ON MAN! Big Game Boomer? The SOONER I can find this guy and get a bet down, the SOONER I win. Thank goodness for social media, right? You too can be an 'expert. This guy probably had Germany in WW2.
