  1. ESPN does not want a Pac-12 team to do well. They are and always will be anti-oregon. We are the "left coast" in politics and sports. No worries, we can beat them all! Though, having to compete against the refs as well...more troubling.
  2. It tells me he heard the booing. That is an admission of sorts. He can take it, but wants to protect players. I do think saying something right away, he wants to nip this in the bud. Also, you and I know how important confidence is in sport for optimum execution. Perhaps the boos shake up AB, and we don't need that.
  3. We have had a ton of injuries, and the qb is not a Cristobal recruit. I've decided I am being too harsh and borderline ridiculous in thinking a different coach would have better results. From here on out, at least until proven otherwise, I'm staying strong on the Cristobal wagon. We are still a very young team, and we have a huge up side. That said, take Col and the points. We won't cover 26!
  4. A great article WW. I like your premise. I admit to booing some, but I don't believe it was ever on the player. It seems to me it was about a combination of the play called and poor execution by the team, and always as a last straw. After a continuation of succeeding bad play calls. Like the booing at the Cal game, no one booed at Fresno State, or Stonybrook, or Arizona, but by the third dump down pass on a third and long attempt that had no chance...it was time for tough love. I agree that college students are kids and should not be booed on principal, but sometimes coaches and players need to know there are live bodies in the seats and like loving parents, we won't tolerate nonsense for too long.
  5. Winning at any cost. We all want our teams/athletes to win, yet that lends itself to maybe too extreme efforts to accomplish that one goal. I'm sure some athletes are fine with this approach, others obviously not. I personally have issues because of the adverse affects my niece suffered from similar training. She was worried she couldn't have children. After many years of non training and leaving her sport, she now has two kids. I know with NIL, athletes are more than simply students, but I wish for the day it was OK to be both.
  6. Best play call since tOSU game. I thought it was a CK type call!
  7. Why are we so quick to judge a person by their worst moment, instead of a lifetime of positive ones?
  8. So do we like the speckled unis now?
  9. Best throws I've seen AB make on this drive yet!
  10. Why was 2 seconds put on the clock? Who called a timeout?
  11. You're ready for the game!
  12. How about a Dairy Queen sponsorship, we can call it "Oreo cookie blizzard "uni.
  13. Always fun to read your stuff JJ. Txs.
  14. This game could so go either direction. Their run game, tempo and a hot DTR could eat us up. But the team does always seem to get up for playing in LA. KT will be at full strength for a full game and have Swinson and Funa & Co. to help. This could be our best defensive performance to date. If AB can keep some of that 4th quarter mojo going in the first half...you could be right Confused. A big win on a big stage. With GameDay there, should be plenty of incentive.
  15. A SEC team gets more attention and perhaps better recruits. Seems an easy choice to me. Not to mention more $$.
  16. Seven Mcgee is quick and fast.
  17. So many points made I so agree with! This week's game will show what we can expect the rest of the way. Without improved play on both sides of the ball, we could be run out of the Rosebowl.
  18. I hope your prophetic wisdom doesn't come to fruition. But you do make a rational argument. Though your 12-1 projection for the season I can live with.
  19. I'll vote for you to become assistant Pac12 commish. Where do I sign.😉
  20. So right on! This game in the Rosebowl certainly will set the expectations for what this team can do. KT is so right, this team has not played it's best D or O. Seems to me that our guys seem to get "up" for games in LA. I'm hoping so this weekend. We will need an "A" game to beat UCLA.
  21. Where are all the blue-chip players on offense? They aren't starting yet. QB, RB, WR are mostly still 3* kids. We are expecting better play cuz on paper we have star power, but it's not all on the field yet. Is this part of the issue? I think our run blocking schemes are at issue also. I know TD just had a great game, but tell me, is any else surprised that a Chip Kelly offense is leading the conference in the run game! Finally, we may be 5-1 now, but all the remaining games are teams better than who we've already played, save tOSU. If we go 3-3, will those critical of us who are disappointed now still think that all is good?!
